Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: The Exiled Troll

"Mages outside, if you don't mind, please come sit in the cave for a while. I promise these little creatures won't attack you anymore." A hoarse voice emanated from the cave, catching the attention of Leylin and Aminel. If Leylin was right, a troll witch doctor must be living in the cave.

Without further hesitation, Leylin stepped forward. Aminel held Leylin's attention and whispered, "We don't know the enemy's details, so it's best not to act rashly."

To ensure the safety of the mission, Leylin had to find out who this person was. He didn't want to leave any hidden dangers for the next mission.

"Judging from the density of the sorcery emanating from the cave, he doesn't look like a powerful troll witch doctor. We are more than capable of dealing with him." Leylin said confidently.

Without further argument, Aminel followed Leylin through a dark, damp passage into the cave.

The humidity was high in the outer reaches of this cave. But as he continued walking forward, the cave became dry and cool.

Aside from the unpleasant odor, there was absolutely nothing wrong with living here. The faint glow of a fire illuminated the direction Leylin was heading.

As he walked, he released small orbs of fire around him, they may look small but they packed some power enough to create blast the troll or any creature.

This was the spindleweb spider's cave, so the necessary preparations were necessary.

However, contrary to Leylin's expectations, there was no sign of any webs within the cave's passages.

Reaching the bottom floor, Leylin saw many miniature altars used for sacrifices, as well as numerous clay pots. These containers contained a large amount of green, sticky liquid.

This must be a troll voodoo master. Deep in the cave at the bottom, there was a square chamber.

A troll sat inside, leaning on a vine-made bench, stroking the smooth body of a spider to his left.

"Ah," the troll drawled, delighted. "Elven mage, since arriving on this island, I haven't seen a creature with the same physical features as us trolls in ages."

The ragged troll observed Leylin and Aminel. When he caught sight of Leylin, he exclaimed in surprise, "Forgive my dim eyes. To be honest, living in this cave for so many years has made me a bit dull. Is this mage a human?" "

I'm not here to chat with you, a bloody troll witch doctor." Leylin said straight to the point. "Unfortunately, although we don't know your origins, you are one of our enemies today. You must be eliminated from this island!"

The troll's face was filled with horror at Leylin's words. Compared to the other vicious trolls, this one seemed cowardly, a character perfectly suited to his diminutive stature.

"No, no, no, perhaps I'm not your enemy." the troll said, shrinking his body in fear.

Leylin looked at this unique troll witch doctor calmly. He raised his left hand, and the small orbs of fire accelerated towards the troll.

He came here to eliminate the threat from this island, and he didn't want to hear anything else. The sound of fire energy accelerating still faintly echoed in the cave.

Perhaps having seen the magic of the elves, the troll suddenly knelt. "Don't kill me. I have no connection with the forest trolls now. My kin expelled me from the troll empire. I no longer pose any threat to you."

Aminel tugged at Leylin's sleeve and said, "It seems that you are not lying."

Leylin considered the matter and didn't want to mix any emotion, whether pity or hatred. However, Leylin was still eager to hear the story of such a unique troll.

Recalling some of his small orbs of fire energy, Leylin said, "Give me a reason not to kill you. Live and let me hear some information that will save your life."

The troll narrowed his eyes. He patted the spider to his left, sending it away. Then he said, "I am Azara, a former troll witch doctor. I was long ago expelled from the empire by one of the troll witch doctors, Zul'ajik, because I wasn't devout enough in my faith in the bear god. Because of this, I know very little about the current Amani Empire, but I think I can do you a favor in exchange for my survival."

Leylin stroked his chin and looked at Aminel. Aminel nodded.

"Speak."

Azara left the bench where he had been sitting for a long time and moved to the small hole in the cave wall. He pulled out several bottles of potion from the small holes dug out of the soil.

"This is the most toxic spider voodoo. Once it sticks to the body of a troll, they will rot quickly until they die!" Azara sneered, apparently confident in his poison.

The poisonous water didn't tempt Leylin. As a qualified mage, a powerful spell was more than enough to defeat his enemies.

"You've developed a poison like this, so I can only imagine your hatred for the trolls. But that doesn't move me. I don't think I need such a poison." Leylin said clearly.

Azara shook his head and said, "Of course, it's not just this. This poison can be used for other things."

Other things? Leylin frowned, staring intently at Azara, arcane magic rising from his left hand.

Sure enough, the bastard troll was playing tricks. The troll picked up the poison and crushed it, sprinkling it into the cave. The green poison hissed as it hit the ground. A large amount of green mist spread around.

"We've been tricked!" Leylin remained calm and rushed to the cave entrance. Soon, he and Calpurnia rushed out.

Upon emerging, Leylin and Aminel were greeted by a different scene.

A large group of trolls were crossing Lake Elrendar in simple arks made of wood, approaching them.

The troll witch doctor Azara was standing at the edge of the lake, and behind him was the troll army.

"Human mage, you made a mistake the moment you started trying to negotiate with me." Azara said with a devilish smile.

Leylin and Aminel were on full alert, and the two hundred trolls didn't seem to have put them in a desperate situation.

Soon, soldiers from the Isle of Tribulations, including Tyr'ganal and Frank, arrived, and a fierce battle was inevitable.

The leading troll looked at the hunched, skinny troll and said, "Azara, I didn't expect that an abandoned troll like you would think of tipping us off. It seems that after all these years, you still yearn for our powerful empire."

Azara smiled flatteringly, "My little ones have told me that that old stubborn Zul'ajik is dead. I was looking for an opportunity to return to the empire, and today seems like a good opportunity."
