Chapter 91 - Chapter 91 Knowledge is Power

"This is the first time I've seen you laugh so happily. It must feel good to be liked by three girls at the same time." Alleria asked languidly.

Leylin gazed at the endless sea ahead, stretching somewhat absentmindedly, and said, "If what you said is true, it must feel amazing."

"You always seem like a serious mage, but I didn't expect you to be a lecher, and a greedy one at that." Alleria sneered, scolding Leylin.

Leylin didn't refute; he readily accepted the title.

"Enough about me, Alleria, do you dare to make a bet with me?" Leylin leaned against the mast on the deck, speaking mysteriously.

Alleria's interest was piqued by Leylin's words. "Tell me, what's the bet?"

"The bet is that you'll fall in love with a human during this war."

Hearing this, Alleria smiled generously, looking at Leylin and saying, "What, are you going to take advantage of all three of us sisters?" This was tacit agreement, after all, Alleria was also one of the members realizing Leylin's grand ideal.

"The bet is three things. If you win, I'll grant you three wishes; if you win, the same goes for me." Leylin said.

Alleria pondered for a moment, then nodded and said, "Interesting, let's do it that way."

The journey at sea was quite long. Aside from standing on the deck in the evening to enjoy the sea breeze, Leylin spent the rest of his time studying magic in the cabin.

Two months later, Leylin had changed a lot. His mastery of the arcane, frost and fire are now outstanding. For further improvements or major breakthroughs, he would probably need a much larger catalyst.

Of course, overall, Leylin's greatest progress was in-depth mastery and understanding of the arcane; plus, in the arcane construct department, he could now create an arcane core array named after him, 'Leylin.'

"Boss, I've calculated it. We should arrive in Lordaeron by noon today." Tyr'ganal said, holding a simple nautical chart used by merchant ships.

"Get ready, we're about to enter the human kingdoms." Leylin said, tidying up the magical items on his table.

Tyr'ganal seemed very excited; his reaction to new things was very much like Frank's. "Boss, everyone says there are many fun places in human society, like nightclubs and taverns."

Leylin said, squinting at Tyr'ganal. "If we have time, I'll take you there; I'm sure you'll enjoy it."

Since setting sail from Sunsail Harbor, the fleet had been sailing against the wind, at a high speed.

Tyr'ganal's calculations were correct; as the sun passed the center of the sky, Leylin saw the fleet in the waters of Lordaeron.

However, the insignia on the sails of these ships was not the symbol of Lordaeron's twin swords and shields, but an anchor. Leylin recognized this symbol; it belonged to the naval forces of Grand Admiral Daelin Proudmoore from Kul Tiras.

Emerging from the cabin, Alleria was already on the deck. Gazing at the distant harbor, the smaller ships scattered along the coastline began to navigate nimbly and orderly, making way for the elven ships.

Following the instructions of the human ships, Alleria commanded the entire fleet of twelve ships to formally enter Lordaeron's harbor.

"This is your kingdom; you will be the guide," Alleria said, pushing Leylin forward and handing him the letter from the Council of Silvermoon.

The first flagship docked, and Tyr'ganal used levitation to place a gold-trimmed gangplank between the ship and the land. Leylin didn't use any magic; he initially intended to jump directly down, but considering the formal occasion, he slowly descended from the flagship.

The sight of a human alighting from the elven ship surprised even the supreme commander standing in the center of the human army. He loosened his battle-hardened armor and greeted Leylin, "Welcome to the human kingdom. I am Anduin Lothar, Supreme Commander of the Alliance."

Leylin maintained his composure and walked directly towards the Supreme Commander.

Reaching the broad-shouldered, bearded, and somewhat balding marshal, Leylin extended his left hand with neither servility nor arrogance: "Greetings, Sir Lothar, I am Leylin, a member of the Silvermoon Council of Quel'Thalas and Deputy Commander of the Radiant Guard."

He hadn't intended to give such a long introduction, but in this extremely formal official setting, it was necessary.

Lothar warmly extended his left hand to Leylin, saying, "It's hard to imagine that there are human mages in the elven kingdom. Thank you for coming."

Leylin smiled and returned the gesture, continuing, "This is our Ranger Captain, and also the commander of our expeditionary force."

Alleria followed behind Leylin, only stepping forward when he began to introduce her.

"On behalf of Quel'Thalas, King Anasterian Sunstrider, and the Silvermoon Council, I extend my greetings to you all." Ranger Captain Alleria displayed her usual composure, her melodious voice drawing the attention of many human soldiers.

Sir Lothar also saluted Ranger Captain Alleria, a courtesy she accepted without hesitation, for among these humans, she was the elder.

However, Sir Lothar still had questions. Looking at the small squadron of rangers with no other ships following them, he asked curiously, "Ranger Captain Alleria, I must ask, is this all the help the kingdom of Quel'Thalas has given to our human alliance?"

Alleria did not answer. Leylin handed the letter in his hand to Sir Lothar and said, "The specific details are in the letter. I'm sorry, Sir, this is all the aid the kingdom of Quel'Thalas can offer."

Lothar nodded. In this critical moment, he hoped that more forces could be united, thus increasing their chances of victory.

Invited by Sir Lothar, Leylin, Alleria, and the entire elven fighting force entered the capital of Lordaeron. They had more important matters to discuss that night.

During this short time, Leylin had the opportunity to meet Grand Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, the general to Sir Lothar's left. The elderly general to his right was named Aiden Perenolde; Leylin preferred him to be a good leader rather than someone clad in armor.

Leylin didn't speak to these leaders, but he did exchange a few words with an elderly mage in a purple robe.

When Leylin saw the mage beside Sir Lothar, the elderly mage was about to speak when Leylin uttered a phrase he'd heard countless times: "Knowledge is power, sir mage. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"I am Khadgar, sir Leylin. I hope we can have a pleasant conversation sometime." This wasn't the tone of an elderly mage, but he was Khadgar, cursed with aging during his confrontation with the Guardian Medivh in Karazhan.
