Chapter 71 - Relax

A few days passed, and life at St. Freya slowly returned to normal. The only true exception was Himeko. Her joyfulness was impossible to miss—after all, she had regained her lifespan and kept her original combat strength. And, to everyone's shock, she had recovered her youthful, twenty-something appearance.

Theresa insisted she undergo a full medical examination. The doctors and scientists nearly dropped their clipboards when the results came in. Himeko's body was biologically young, her Honkai resistance had stabilized, and her strength was the same—perhaps even better.

There was only one catch: she was officially banned from beer .A tragedy in Himeko's eyes. But even then, she admitted it was a small price to pay. Regaining youth meant more years, more possibilities, and—much to her amusement—plenty of chances for romance and dates.

When she returned to her teaching duties, every student froze in shock. Some whispered rumors, others thought her strength must have reset with her age… and they learned how wrong they were the moment combat training began. Himeko didn't just win—she dominated the session so thoroughly that the entire class collectively agreed never to underestimate a de-aged instructor again.

During those days, Himeko also grew a little bolder, especially around Kouga. She began greeting him by casually looping an arm around his neck—a friendly gesture to her, but a heart-stopping one for Kouga, who had to will himself not to react to how soft her chest felt when she leaned in. His soul nearly left his body each time.

Kiana and Mei tried to intervene, mostly because they were jealous. Unfortunately, their attempts only made things worse. Himeko simply redirected her affection to them instead—pulling them into sudden hugs, draping over their shoulders, and smothering them just enough to make them yelp for help. Meanwhile, she used the perfect opportunity to let Kouga escape her grasp, leaving him to run off while the two girls struggled in Himeko's hold.

Because of this, Kouga often hid out with Bronya. The two ended up spending most of their free time together playing video games. Unlike the rivalry between Kiana and Bronya, the matchup here was completely lopsided—Kouga dominated every round, leaving Bronya staring at the screen in disbelief.

After losing for the fifth time in a row, Bronya simply crossed her arms, puffed her cheeks, and declared in her deadpan voice:

"Subject Kouga has become the Bronya's new rival."

From that point on, she took every match with him as a matter of pride.

Then the day come ,it was one of those rare, peaceful days at St. Freya—no classes, no missions, no emergencies. Everyone was lounging around with nothing to do when Kouga suddenly remembered something.

He turned to Bronya and Kiana."Hey, you two. Do you still want to see the robot I mentioned?"

Both girls froze, staring at him as if he had just spoken the magic words of an ancient prophecy.

Kouga continued, "Remember during the Chiyou fight? I told you I'd let you inspect the mecha I have."

The moment he said that, literal stars seemed to sparkle in both Bronya's and Kiana's eyes.

Kiana jumped up instantly."Well what are we waiting for? Let's go!!"

Bronya nodded firmly, hands clasped behind her back in military precision."The Bronya will follow Subject Kouga for the rest of Bronya's life."

Himeko raised an eyebrow, amused. Mei smiled softly. Both decided to tag along.

The group headed toward the beach. Halfway there, they ran into Mr. Nokianvirtanen.

He waved politely. "Good afternoon. Where are you all heading?"

Kouga answered honestly, "I'm going to summon some robots so Kiana and Bronya can check them out."

There was a pause.

Mr. Nokianvirtanen didn't look confused. He didn't look annoyed.Instead—he looked at Kouga the way a small child looks at a parent who just said the words 'We're going to the zoo'.

Kouga blinked. "Um… Mr. Nokianvirtanen, do you want to join us?"

The man straightened, eyes shining with rare excitement."Yes. I would very much like to inspect the mecha you possess."

With their party expanded, they continued on.

At the beach

Kouga stepped onto the sand, took a deep breath, and activated his power.

A brilliant glow engulfed the area—and then three towering Super Sentai mecha manifested behind him, standing proud against the ocean backdrop.

GalaxyMega — Megarangers' primary mecha.Dekaranger Robo — The main giant Robo of the Dekarangers.ShinkenOh — The Samurai Gattai of the Shinkengers.

The ground trembled under their feet as the machines fully materialized.Everyone stood in silent awe.

Kiana's jaw dropped.Bronya's eyes widened—a rare sight.Mr. Nokianvirtanen looked like a man who had just received the greatest toy of his childhood in real life.

Kiana, Bronya, and Mr. Nokianvirtanen immediately rushed toward GalaxyMega, inspecting every panel, joint, and mechanism. Mr. Nokianvirtanen's expression was practically glowing—pure inner child joy escaping from behind his usual composure.

Himeko circled the Dekaranger Robo, admiring its police-themed design with an approving whistle.

Mei found herself drawn to ShinkenOh, tracing its samurai motifs with a soft smile."It feels… honorable," she murmured.

The entire group spent the whole day climbing, examining, experimenting, and marveling at the massive robots. It was like a field trip to a mecha museum—but better, because everything was real.

Returning home

When sunset approached, they finally headed back to the dorms, sandy, tired, and glowing with excitement.

To their surprise, the smell of a freshly prepared meal greeted them the moment they stepped inside.

Rita stood at the kitchen doorway, smiling gently."Welcome back. Dinner is ready."

Just like that, the perfect day ended even more perfectly—with warm food, warm company, and the lingering excitement of giant robots.
