Chapter 91 - VS Wotan

Kouga and Wendy burst through the underground corridors, still tearing through Anti-Entropy mechs. Wendy—still dressed in her patient outfit—swung the Gashacon Breaker with surprising precision. Every strike sent sparks flying, and with each destroyed machine, glowing words like "HIT!" and "GREAT!" flashed into existence, just like a video game scoring system.

Wendy blinked in confusion mid-fight."Why does it… announce every hit?"

She barely had time to question it before another mech rushed her. Kouga, now fully in Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Level 2, crushed enemies just as easily—his kicks and punches triggering the same absurd visual effects.

"Don't think about it," Kouga said while spinning into a kick. "Just keep swinging."

After pushing deeper underground, the space suddenly opened up.

They stepped into a massive subterranean hangar.

And there it was.

A colossal humanoid machine, skyscraper-sized, standing dormant at the center of the chamber. Thick cables ran from its back into the surrounding walls, and faint red lights glowed beneath layers of armored plating.

Kouga stared up at it, impressed."…Okay. That's actually pretty cool."

Wendy didn't share his enthusiasm.

Her face drained of color as she stared at the machine, dread tightening her chest.

Then an explosion echoed from behind them.

Both of them snapped into combat stances—until smoke cleared, revealing familiar figures.

"Kiana?" Kouga lowered his guard.

The rest of the team emerged from the breach, but something was wrong. Kouga immediately noticed the look on Kiana's face—fear, mixed with urgency.

"Kiana," he asked sharply, "what happened?"

She rushed forward."Kouga—Bronya needs help, now!"

Mei stepped aside, revealing Bronya's unconscious body cradled in her arms.

"Bronya-onee-chan!" Wendy cried out in horror, stumbling forward.

Without hesitation, Kouga smashed another chocolate-like cube. A second recovery medal appeared, gleaming silver. He flung it toward Bronya.

The light faded.

Nothing happened.

Kouga frowned."…That didn't work."

He turned to Kiana."What happened to her?"

Kiana swallowed hard."She burned out the bio-chip herself. She didn't want to hurt any of us again. Her brain shut down… she's in a coma."

Kouga clenched his fist, then nodded grimly."I can heal her physically—but waking her up isn't something I can do now."He looked around. "We need to leave. Now."

The group nodded, preparing to retreat—

—until a cold voice echoed through the chamber.

"You're not going anywhere."

Theresa's eyes narrowed."…Cocolia."

Loudspeakers crackled as Cocolia's voice continued, calm and venomous."I must admit, I didn't expect to witness technology like yours."Her tone sharpened. "That belt of yours… rewriting reality, restoring a Herrscher who was already at death's door after i took the Gem of desire out of her."

Kouga glanced instinctively at Wendy.Death's door…

Theresa snapped back,"You can't use the Gem even if you want to!"

Cocolia laughed softly."Perhaps Schicksal's technology can't. But I developed the tech to empower a mecha with the Gem of Desire ages ago."Her voice dripped with satisfaction. "I'd like to thank Schicksal for kindly handing the Gem to me."

The massive robot behind them roared to life.

Energy surged through its frame as red lights flared across its armor.

Theresa stared in disbelief."Unbelievable! It managed to power this giant mecha!"

Cocolia's voice rang triumphantly."Alright, have fun playing with my newest toy! MSR-7 Wotan!"

Wotan raised its massive arm and slammed its fist downward.

Everyone scattered—everyone except Kouga.

He planted his feet and caught the blow, metal screeching as the ground cracked beneath him.

"Kouga!" Kiana shouted. "Now would be a great time to summon your robots!"

He shook his head."Too tight in here. That'd collapse the whole place."

Then he smirked."But don't worry. I've got another plan. So trust me and go ahead."

Mei stepped forward."We're not leaving you."

Kouga looked back at them."I'll be right behind you. Just get out."

Kiana hesitated."But—"

Himeko placed a firm hand on her shoulder and met Kouga's gaze."You'd better come back alive."

He nodded.

As the team retreated, Wotan swung again—only for Kouga to kick the massive hand aside.

"Hey," he growled, glaring up at the giant."Eyes on me."

Once the others were clear, Kouga looked up at the towering machine and pulled out a massive Gashat, twice the size of a normal one.

"Alright," he said calmly."Time to level up."

He pressed the starter.

"Mighty Brothers Double X!"

Reality warped once more. Kouga swapped the Gashat into his belt and snapped the lever shut, then open again.

"Gatchan! Level Up!Mighty! Brothers!Futari de Hitori!Mighty Brothers!Futari de Victory! X!"

His form shifted—still chibi-like, but now it's "Hair" split in vibrant orange and azura, power radiating from his stance.

Kouga clenched his fists and smiled beneath the helmet.

"I'll clear this game with No continue." he said quietly.

Kouga launched forward, his Mighty Brothers Double X form moving at a speed far beyond his Level 2 state. In a single burst, he closed the distance and drove both fists into Wotan's torso, the impact ripping through layers of armor and forcing the skyscraper-sized machine to stagger backward.

Wotan roared, massive servos screaming as it swung a retaliatory punch.

Kouga vanished from its strike path, reappearing midair. He twisted his body and drove a kick straight into the machine's head, the blow snapping its upper frame back with a metallic shriek.

Wotan stagger, but Kouga was already moving—darting across its surface, hammering joints, tearing into weak points.

Still, the machine refused to fall.

Kouga muttered as he skidded to a stop. "Alright… guess I'll take it up a notch."

He flipped the Actuation Lever closed—then snapped it open again.

"Gachan! Double Up! Ore ga omae de! Omae ga ore de! We are! Mighty Mighty Brothers! (Hey!) Double X!"

Energy surged violently.

His form distorted—and split.

Where there had been one Ex-Aid, there were now two.

One clad in vibrant azure, calm and focused. The other blazing orange, posture loose, attitude sharp.

The orange one rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck."You dragged me out for this thing?" he scoffed, voice unmistakably Kouga's—but rougher, darker. "That's disappointing."

The azure one glanced sideways at him."Save the commentary. Let's finish this and regroup with the girls."

The orange Ex-Aid smirked."I'm just saying—if you're gonna unleash your darker half, at least make it worth the trouble."

Wotan swing it's fist.

Both Ex-Aids moved at the same time.

They activated their finishers, energy spiraling around them as they leapt into the air, trajectories perfectly synchronized.

"Let's end it," the azure one said.

"Gladly," the orange one replied.

They descended together—Twin Rider Kicks slamming into Wotan's core.

The impact detonated through the hangar.

Armor shattered. Energy imploded. The massive machine cracked apart from the inside, collapsing in a thunderous explosion that shook the entire facility.

As the smoke cleared, the two Ex-Aids stepped back—and merged, light folding inward until only Kouga remained.

He de-transformed, exhaling slowly.

"…That clears the boss fight."

After the battle, Kouga regrouped with the others as they escape the ME headquarters.Although the team successfully brought Wendy back, Bronya never woke up and remained unconscious in the medical clinic. Wendy chose to stay, and whenever she could, she would come to visit Bronya, quietly keeping watch by her side.
