Chapter 58 - Extremely Annoying

"Sir, what is the..." Elena's words died in her throat as she lifted her gaze and met Kaleb's cold, unreadable eyes.

Douglas instantly sprang to his feet, hastily dabbing his lips with a napkin.

"Mr Tresvhire, it is ..."

"No need for formalities, Mr Douglas," Kaleb cut in smoothly, his tone polite yet laced with quiet authority. His gaze, however, lingered a little too long on Elena.

She rose from her seat at once, instinctively slipping her phone behind her back, praying he hadn't seen what she'd been doing moments earlier.

"Please, continue your lunch," Kaleb said casually, pulling out the empty chair beside her. "Don't stop on my account." He sat down with composed ease, then added with a faint smirk, "And Miss Baker, I had no idea you were a photographer as well. Quite the hidden talent."

Elena's face drained of its colour, her head bowing slightly as embarrassment flooded her body. Her mind scrambled for a response but came up blank.
