Chapter 122 - Rewards and Revelations

Arios stood amidst the ruins of the battlefield, violet-silver energy still coiling faintly around him. The last monster dissolved into nothingness, and the system's interface flared, cascading lines of light and symbols in his vision.

Arios blinked, staring at the glowing interface. "Wow… all that just from one fight?" He flexed his hands as the violet-silver glow pulsed in response. "This… feels unreal."

Seraphyx hovered nearby, tendrils flicking in amusement. "It is unreal. But it's also inevitable, Young Lord. You are growing exactly as you should."

A voice, soft and calm, interrupted the moment. Selene Dreamveil stepped forward, her silver hair catching the fading light of the torn sky. "Impressive," she said, her aura radiating quiet authority. "I see the seal has been fully undone… and you are beginning to walk your path."

Arios bowed slightly out of habit. "Thank you, Mother."

Selene's eyes turned toward Seraphyx. "You've done well. He's already adapting… I wanted to ask you about Lucien."

Seraphyx inclined her head, voice soft and formal. "Lord Lucien has been overseeing his forces across the outer god realms. His presence is… absolute. The war he fights is beyond comprehension to any being of conventional understanding. He grows stronger each day, as do his generals."

Selene nodded slightly, satisfaction and subtle longing in her expression. "I see… I trust you will continue guiding him while I am gone."

Seraphyx's tone softened, rare for her usual aloofness. "Of course, Queen of Inevitability."

Selene's attention returned to Arios. Her expression softened further. "I will be away for three months. I am going to meet with your father and coordinate matters with the outer god front. During that time… you will stay with the Revenants and the Mirrored Six."

Arios blinked. "Stay with… them? You mean Uncle Kairo, and all the others?"

"Yes," Selene replied, smiling faintly. "They are your uncles and aunties. Their guidance will strengthen you, and you will learn much about Aetherion's balance while you are with them. But Seraphyx will remain your constant companion, ensuring you are protected and guided during portal incursions."

Seraphyx inclined once more, tendrils forming protective loops around him. "And I will not let a single monster near you without teaching you how to cut it down first."

Arios exhaled, a mixture of excitement and slight nervousness. "Alright… I'll do my best. I just hope I can keep up with all of them."

Selene's smile widened. "You will. You are more than ready, Arios. Now, prepare yourself. Your path is only beginning."

The system pulsed again, confirming the transition:

[New Base Location: Mirrored and Revenant Estate – Aetherion]

All portals and world disturbances will be monitored in real-time.

Seraphyx will continue as guide and protector.

Arios looked at Seraphyx and then to the horizon, determination flaring. "Alright. Let's go. I've got a lot to learn… and a lot to fight."

Seraphyx's tendrils flicked, almost in amusement. "Finally. Some discipline. Shall we?"

And together, the Son of Inevitability and his shadowed guide disappeared into the void, heading toward the estate where the Revenants and Mirrored Six awaited, marking the next stage of Arios's growth.
