Chapter 142 - The Primordial Void — Explained

1. Definition:

The Primordial Void is the absolute foundation of all existence and nonexistence. It is a plane of raw reality, predating the 1st dimension, predating time, space, and even causality as we know it. Think of it as the root layer beneath all realms and dimensions, where creation, destruction, and the threads of potentiality are raw and unshaped.

It is not a "dimension" in the standard sense. It contains the essence of all dualities: existence/nonexistence, potentiality/actuality, entropy/order, life/death, space/time, abstract/concrete. Every other dimension, from the 1st to the 9th and beyond, is essentially "grown" from it, like branches from the roots of a cosmic tree.

2. Function:

It anchors all reality. The World Tree, which holds up the 9 realms, draws its stability from the Primordial Void. Any disruption here can ripple across all realms, causing multiverses to collapse, dimensions to fracture, or time to run backward. It is where true omnipotence can be exercised — anyone who fully commands the Primordial Void can manipulate reality itself on any scale.

3. Inhabitants and Entities:

Normally, the Primordial Void is empty in the sense that nothing mortal or godlike can exist here without being anchored to it or given extraordinary power. Lucien's army, when summoned here, can exist safely because they are created from his essence, which resonates with the void itself. Beings from the 9th dimension or beyond can touch it, but they are like ants trying to move continents.

4. Lucien's Position:

When Lucien touches the World Tree and merges with the White, he essentially becomes the Primordial Void's sovereign. In this state:

He can manipulate all dimensions within and beyond it. He can stop, reverse, accelerate, or pause time on any level. He has full control over existence and nonexistence, dualities, abstract forces, causality, and meta-existence.

The Primordial Void is now effectively his personal domain, yet he can extend influence outward into the lower dimensions.

5. Why It Matters:

Any threat from 9th-dimensional creatures or higher beings, like those beyond the 9th, is trivial within the Primordial Void itself if Lucien is present. It explains why Outer Gods, even the strongest, have to show caution here — because the landscape itself is literally under Lucien's absolute command. This is why he can summon his army, manipulate clones, and even casually talk to Xerathion and others without the council immediately striking him.

In short:

The Primordial Void is the absolute root of all existence, a domain beyond the ladder of dimensions. Lucien's sovereignty over it makes him effectively omnipotent within that plane — which also explains why Outer Gods, 9th-dimensional creatures, and all other threats must tread carefully. It's not just power; it's the very framework of reality.
