"Not bad, not bad, the harvest is pretty good."
Hearing the string of notification sounds in his ears, Taro nodded in satisfaction.
Looking at the group of demons whose auras had completely weakened, he slowly put away his tools, no longer continuing to squeeze more resources out of them.
This was a large, regenerating material farm.
He couldn't "drain the pond to catch the fish."
Better to let them recover.
Once they regained their strength, he could come back again.
Wouldn't that make this an inexhaustible resource?
To directly strip their divine authority was the lowest form of exploitation.
Letting them continue producing was far better.
"Yingda, I'm done. Pull me back up."
Ignoring the demons sprawled all over the ground, Taro waved his hand upward.
The golden light of the formation's core wrapped around him, slowly lifting him.
His figure reappeared above the sealing barrier.
"Sir," Yingda greeted him with a smile, returning the talisman to him.
"Mm."
Taro smiled as he accepted it.
This thing would come in handy again for harvesting materials later.
At Nantianmen, he wouldn't need it.
After all, Zhongli would be with him then.
Since it involved the Dragon King Azhdaha, things would have to be handled more carefully.
"Let's go home first," Taro said, giving one last glance at the demons below.
With a wave of his hand, he brought Yingda back to Liyue Harbor.
The experimental materials were already in hand.
Tonight, he could begin his research.
Aside from that, there was also the matter of the so-called "karmic debt".
Better to start with the simpler research first before dealing with riskier things.
Though special, his life was still precious.
Anything uncertain, he would not act on lightly.
"Sir, what should we arrange next?"
Yingda handed him a cup of freshly poured tea, respectfully asking.
Taro accepted it and thought for a moment.
Strictly speaking, he didn't have that many tasks — but each was significant.
Reviving the adepti and the yakshas.
Solving Azhdaha's erosion.
Studying Teyvat's local systems of power and races.
Finally, exploring the Abyss and Celestia forces within the Chasm.
"Yingda," Taro finally said,
"Among the five yakshas, three are still not revived. Let's start with Menogias and Bonanus."
"As for Bosacius, his case is more complicated. He'll have to be last."
Yingda's expression shook, her feelings conflicted.
She had always hoped her eldest brother might still be alive…
Even the faintest chance was enough.
But now, with the array's truth, she finally knew.
Her eldest brother Bosacius had indeed perished in the Chasm.
Still — there was hope.
She bowed deeply:
"Sir, your great kindness, we yakshas—"
"Enough."
Taro cut her off:
"If I didn't trust in your character, I wouldn't be helping you at all."
"Because I admire you, and I have the power, I'm naturally willing to lend a hand. There's no need for thanks."
"Yingda understands," she said, bowing again before standing straight.
"Sir, my brother—"
"Your brother's death is complicated," Taro explained, sipping his tea.
"Five hundred years ago, when the Abyssal Calamity broke out, Bosacius led the exorcist clans and the Millelith to defend a 200-li front at the Chasm."
"In the end, to protect Liyue, he personally led his troops deep into the Chasm, set up an array to cut off retreat, and perished together with the monsters."
"Below the Chasm lies an interwoven domain of Celestia's Nails and Abyssal power. He, his soldiers, and the Millelith were trapped there, their bodies and souls eroded until death."
"When Menogias and Bonanus return, I'll take you all down there myself."
The Chasm contained both Celestia's falling Nails and the polluting Abyss.
The two forces intertwined, making the depths dangerously chaotic.
Moreover, the Abyss Order meddled within, further complicating matters.
For that reason, revival wands or tiered magic were useless.
In YGGDRASIL, resurrection had strict limitations:
- Tier 10 or higher was required for perfect revival.
- Death by curses or instant-death abilities needed magic one tier higher.
- World Items alone had absolute authority.
That was why he had used such items for Guizhong and Huwalia.
Bosacius's death, tied to both Abyss and Celestia, would require the same.
And so, he would be the last.
Because when Taro acted, it had to succeed in one strike.
