Chapter 165 - Chapter 165: Three-in-One V

V had a dream. She dreamed that she became Night City's legend, where there were no ninjas, and she didn't know David or Schwarzer.

The only problem was that in the dream, she seemed to be running out of time. Her brain had a relic chip inserted, containing Johnny Silverhand's memory data.

They constantly磨合 with each other, learning many Night City stories. And somehow, whether due to her talent or the relic chip's influence, she could install massive amounts of cyberware.

Even Adam Smasher was probably only at this level, right? She often thought this. Her body full of high-end cyberware made her strength incredibly powerful.

To find a way to survive, she searched almost all of Night City and finally chose to storm Arasaka Tower.

After defeating Adam Smasher, she saw—Sin/Punishment, Sin/Punishment's eyes, Sin/Punishment...

...

...

V had a dream. She dreamed she was a former member of the Bakker family, a nomad. After leaving the family, she took small jobs, then came to Night City and met Jackie.

They quickly got familiar, then took a job to steal a chip...

The subsequent developments felt extremely déjà vu. Though the processes differed, and V and V had different personalities and talents, the final outcomes were strikingly similar.

Again, to find a way to survive, she ultimately chose to assault Arasaka Tower and defeated Adam Smasher.

...

What grudge did she have with Adam Smasher? But it seemed every time it was her choosing to storm Arasaka Tower, so facing Adam Smasher was normal.

Her consciousness gradually recovered. No matter how real the dream, it was still a dream—memories from another self. Corpo V quickly understood everything.

In the space of consciousness, three Vs opened their eyes simultaneously, then pointed at each other.

"You're V too?" x3

The scene was just like the Spider-Man meme, three Vs pointing at each other, then bursting into laughter together.

Just as Corpo V dreamed of their experiences, they learned everything from her, including the existence of parallel worlds.

As people from 2076, they quickly accepted this setting—they'd seen it plenty in movies; now it was just reality.

"So we're just a portion of memory?"

"No, you're also part of me."

Corpo V quickly denied it. Their connection wasn't just memory; that was her intuition.

Parallel worlds shouldn't have connections anyway—like parallel lines that never intersect. The only intersection here was her, V.

"To figure all this out, we need to find that mastermind, the guy who unleashed the large-scale hypnosis technique."

"Alright then, let's do it properly. We'll lend you our power—don't embarrass us."

The other two Vs quickly decided, handing their power to Corpo V—she was the main body here.

Lucy's previously transmitted information was decoded. Though Lord's identity was unknown, at least they knew there was such a mastermind, constantly 'hypnotizing' everyone.

"Leave it to me. I want to see just who this guy is that's turned Night City into this."

Corpo V didn't hesitate, promising them. She would drag this guy out.

Her dim vision gradually cleared. V awoke from the bed, her memory clean for the first time in ages. Lord's influence vanished completely after communicating with her parallel selves.

Though the reason was unknown, she now knew: she herself was the anchor, linking these three different parallel worlds.

Now she was like a stacked state of three Vs: all five-dimensional attributes maxed at 20, three-body cyberware switchable at will.

The other two Vs walked tech and blade murder paths respectively, while she was definitely hacker flow, and... ninja flow!

Sandevistan activated. Her triple-stacked body stats had long exceeded 20-point limits; traveling with Sandevistan posed no pressure.

Of course, it still needed cooldown—not her body's limit, but the Sandevistan's.

"David, Lucy, tell me your positions. I'm coming to help."

Like V with a new toy eager to show off her power, the best targets were naturally her teammates.

V wanted to flaunt in front of them, especially David. In just a month, his strength surpassed hers, leaving naturally competitive V unable to let it go.

Now she had power far exceeding David's—at least she thought so.

"Miss V? What are you coming for?" David's voice carried confusion. He never thought V weak, but ninja clashes weren't for ordinary people.

That was pure stat crushing; ninja speed, vision, even strength were beyond human comprehension—even Adam Smasher would be insta-killed.

"Of course to help. What, you look down on me?"

"But... this is ninjas..."

David tried to dissuade her. After all, the fights were deadly; ninjas wouldn't hold back for identity. He didn't think V's strength sufficed.

"Cut the crap. If I couldn't handle it, would I come find you? I'm not stupid."

V's words brimmed with confidence. Though unsure why, David knew V wouldn't come to die. What happened in one night?

Lucy's joining ended the topic.

She actually wanted V to join her in the safehouse. Its defenses were prepared by Saburo Arasaka for himself—even nukes or orbital strikes couldn't harm her.

But as she prepared to persuade V, her intuition interrupted.

She felt like she'd suddenly forgotten something, but couldn't recall what, turning her words ambiguous.

"Don't worry, I'm terrifyingly strong now."

V said confidently while en route with Sandevistan. But then she thought, raising her hand—a modified armored sedan appeared before her.

'It actually worked.'

Like using a modifier, the vehicle appeared from nowhere. V had tried pulling a car from another V's side—and succeeded.

Nomad V walked tech flow; she had tons of modified vehicles and gear, all usable by V now.

Just as she said, current V was terrifyingly strong!
