"Damn it, where did it get a weapon!"
Upon seeing this, Tar's expression instantly changed. Tao Wen's defeat against the Abomination was, at worst, his own fault and didn't greatly concern him.
But if a weapon had appeared, that would be his dereliction of duty.
He immediately raised his gun and aimed at the Abomination. He wanted to stop it before it could kill Tao Wen, though he wasn't confident at all if the handgun would be effective against the Abomination.
"Die!"
The Abomination roared madly, its killing intent reaching its peak, to the point where it no longer concealed the weapon it had unexpectedly found.
Even if it couldn't escape, it would kill Tao Wen.
Its instincts told it that its swing would be faster than Tar's shot.
It could take Tao Wen out first!
Swinging wildly, its weapon roared forward with incredible speed, about to smash into Tao Wen's head.
In a moment of haste.
Tao Wen thrust out his right fist, solely to defend.
"Fool, you think you can stop my weapon with your fist? Die!"
Seeing Tao Wen's outstretched fist, a fierce light flashed in the Abomination's brutal eyes. How could a single fist possibly stop its weapon? Tao Wen was doomed.
"What is this?"
The Abomination's weapon slammed into Tao Wen's fist. At that instant, a flash of purple light suddenly erupted from Tao Wen's fist.
The moment the purple light appeared, the Abomination felt a sense of unease. However, it still channeled all its strength into the weapon, determined to kill Tao Wen.
"No!"
But at the instant the power surged, it felt an even more powerful force erupt from Tao Wen's fist.
It immediately felt as if it had once again become a weak human, and was being violently struck by a large truck.
It was sent flying backwards.
Boom!
The Abomination's huge body slammed into the special glass, then quickly bounced back to the ground, rolling around frantically.
The weapons clattered and clanged, bouncing far away.
When the Abomination stopped moving, it had already passed out.
"What!"
"Is that even human? One punch and he knocked out the Abomination with a weapon?!"
Tar couldn't help but exclaim in shock as he witnessed the scene. The pistol in his hand froze in place. He was utterly shocked, his mouth agape as if he'd seen a ghost.
"What luck! This Modified Agile Cloak is awesome! Let's go!"
Looking at the Abomination lying unconscious on the ground, Tao Wen's eyes suddenly lit up with a different kind of brilliance. He hadn't expected this outcome either. He didn't know whether to say he was lucky, or the Abomination was just incredibly unlucky.
Fragment +1
"It wasn't a wasted trip."
Seeing the data that appeared before him, the heat in Tao Wen's heart surged again. With the appearance of this fragment, it immediately turned into a golden light and merged into the percentage: 4/10.
One step closer to obtaining a skill!
"Alright, time to move to another place."
He glanced coldly at the unconscious Abomination. He took the Abomination's weapon out and handed it to Tar.
"Thank you," Tar said respectfully, beads of sweat dripping from his forehead.
He no longer held the slightest trace of disdain. In his heart, Tao Wen had become someone he genuinely admired—no, a superhero!
Only a superhero could possess such power!
Now, he finally understood why his boss was so reverent towards Tao Wen. It was the inexplicable worship of the strong!
"Please, sir."
Tar hastily placed his weapon outside, then respectfully opened the door, allowing Tao Wen to leave the area.
"Tar."
Tao Wen waited for Tar to lock the door before suddenly calling out.
"Officer?"
Tar asked respectfully.
"Is Ivan Vanko here too?"
Tao Wen asked.
"Yes, he's also a troublemaker here. He tried to escape last month, although he didn't succeed,"
Tar couldn't help but say.
"Really? He's still so audacious. Hmm, I'll go see him. Right, I was the one who caught him, so if he really escapes, it'll be my fault. I'll just teach him a lesson and let him know that staying here quietly is the best choice."
Tao Wen said.
"Really? Alright!"
Tar was surprised again. He hadn't expected that Tao Wen had captured Ivan Vanko. At the same time, a little excitement welled up inside him. Ivan Vanko originally fell under his direct jurisdiction. If he could subdue this fierce wolf, it would indeed be the best outcome.
"Right, get me a bottle of Happy Soda, and his Whiplash."
Tao Wen told Tar again.
"Alright, I'll get you the Happy Soda right away. But, sir, isn't it a bit inappropriate to give him the Whiplash?"
Tar instinctively responded, then reminded him. Ivan Vanko was also a rather terrifying presence. It was said that with Whiplash in hand, he could contend with Iron Man.
"It's fine. Without giving him Whiplash, how can there be any fun?"
Tao Wen grinned, flexing his fist at the same time.
"Yes, I'll bring it to you right away."
Tar wanted to say more, but when he thought about how Tao Wen had just punched the Abomination away, he immediately shut his mouth. If he could knock the Abomination away, then what about a small Whiplash?
Ivan Vanko was quite powerful, but he wouldn't have a chance against the Abomination.
"If I don't give him Whiplash, how will he fight me?"
Watching Tar leave, Tao Wen added silently.
He couldn't be certain whether he needed to fight to obtain the skill fragments. Better safe than sorry, he thought, making it a necessary condition.
Soon, Tar brought Happy Soda and Whiplash in a car. Whiplash was really heavy, and he'd used all his strength to carry it.
"Let's go."
Tar wanted to use the vehicle to continue transporting things, but Tao Wen casually picked up Whiplash with one hand.
This made Tar sigh inwardly. There was indeed a difference between people. He became even more curious about Tao Wen. What was the reason that made Tao Wen so powerful, capable of such terrifying strength?
"Sir, do you also like Happy Soda?"
Walking along the road, Tar started a conversation: "I also really like it. When I'm in a bad mood, a sip makes me feel instantly happy, washing away all the unpleasantness of the day. Should I open one for you?"
"Of course, Happy Soda is made for happiness. It makes people happy instantly. Thank you, but I don't need to open one right now. It's not for me."
Tao Wen declined Tar's offer. His eyes landed on a nearby house: "Is this where Ivan Vanko is being held?"
It was a rather large green building, made entirely of a unique metal, giving it a strong sense of technology. The walls were covered with electronic surveillance.
"Yes."
Tar strode forward and opened the door.
Tao Wen looked inside and was surprised to see Ivan Vanko sitting in the center of the room like a meditating monk, staring at them coldly.
"Hey, old man, I brought you some Happy Soda."
Tao Wen took the Happy Soda from Tar, walked into the room with a bright smile, and said loudly to Ivan Vanko.
