Chapter 123 - Chapter 123: War between Monsters

Boom!

Boom!

Explosions echoed endlessly as slaughter followed slaughter.

Pirates were wiped out in waves. Arthur, Shiki, and Linlin moved like three calamities incarnate, rampaging across Hachinosu Island. Anyone who dared approach them—anyone who harbored even the slightest ambition—was crushed without mercy.

At this moment…

The terror once associated with Rocks D. Xebec surged back into everyone's memory.

It had only been a few short months.

Yet somehow, people had already forgotten just how terrifying the Rocks Pirates truly were.

Now, that fear returned in full force.

Crack—!

Linlin crushed a pirate's throat with one hand, blood spraying as she sneered.

"Pathetic trash! Is this all you've got?! Don't make me laugh!"

Her face twisted with savage delight. To her, these people weren't even worth acknowledging.

They were nothing.

Absolute nothing.

"Run!"

"RUN!"

"They're monsters!!"

The pirates who still remembered the age of Rocks screamed in terror and fled.

Others cursed under their breath.

They had hoped to use these reckless fools as cannon fodder—maybe even fish out a clue to Rocks' treasure.

Now?

Forget it.

This was suicide.

Because the truth was clear:

Even though the Rocks Pirates had disbanded…

Even though Rocks himself had died…

The monsters who once followed him were still alive.

And they were far more terrifying than before.

ROOOOAR—!!

A thunderous dragon's roar shook the heavens.

A massive azure dragon descended from the clouds, unleashing searing flames that engulfed dozens of pirates in an instant.

Kaido slammed onto the ground, his kanabo resting on his shoulder as he glared at Arthur with clear irritation.

After all—

He'd lost badly to this man before.

Arthur merely smirked.

"Kaido, I've got a lot of Zoan fruits in stock. Interested?"

"..."

Kaido's expression twisted.

He wanted to curse.

But he couldn't.

Because damn it—he needed them.

He wanted to build the Beasts Pirates.

He had to collect Zoan Devil Fruits.

And Arthur knew it.

Seeing Kaido's frustration, Arthur chuckled quietly.

Business was business.

Who said trading with enemies was forbidden?

If anything, Arthur gained more than Kaido ever would.

As the battlefield raged...

A distortion rippled through space.

Another wave of pirates was erased.

Then—

"Gurarararara!"

A familiar, thunderous laugh echoed across the battlefield.

Edward Newgate strode forward, Murakumogiri in hand, radiating overwhelming pressure.

"You guys sure showed up early."

"So…"

"You already know about the treasure?"

Arthur replied calmly. "I do. But let's deal with everything here first."

No one objected.

This was Rocks' treasure.

They could fight over it later—but outsiders had no right to it.

Step.

Step.

Each monster advanced slowly, eyes filled with bloodlust.

Trying to steal from them?

What a joke.

"Hahaha!"

A loud laugh split the air.

"Divine Departure!"

A massive shockwave blasted through the battlefield as Gol D. Roger arrived, Rayleigh and Gaban at his sides.

Roger grinned broadly.

"Mind if I take a share?"

Whitebeard snorted.

"Roger, don't die here."

Shiki laughed wildly.

"How about becoming my right-hand man, Roger?"

Arthur glanced at Shiki and shook his head slightly.

That guy really is insane.

Roger smirked.

"No thanks. I plan on becoming the Pirate King."

Arthur barely spared him a glance.

Roger, Luffy—people like them weren't threats.

They sought freedom.

Arthur sought dominion.

Different paths entirely.

Then—

A sharp voice cut through the chaos.

"So this is the place… where Rocks' treasure lies?"

A tall man stepped forward, cone-shaped head gleaming.

Chinjao.

Leader of the Happo Navy.

A powerhouse from the West Blue, backed by the Flower Kingdom.

One of the strongest figures of his era.

The room grew heavier.

More monsters had arrived as time goes on.

Moments later—

"Mo… Mo… 30x Power!"

"Red Leg!"

Two figures clashed violently.

Donquixote Don, collided with Red-Leg Zeff, both releasing monstrous force.

The battlefield had become pure chaos.

By then...

Three figures emerged together.

Silver Axe.

Ochoku.

Captain John.

Former Rocks officers.

Their presence alone silenced the field.

Ochoku stroked his beard and laughed.

"Well, well… Arthur. We meet again."

Arthur smiled calmly.

"How does it feel?"

Ochoku shrugged.

"Lost a bit. But I can live with it."

The battlefield grew eerily still with all this monsters in a single area.

Now,

The list of gathered powerhouses here were:

Arthur.

Shiki.

Whitebeard.

Big Mom.

Kaido.

Ochoku.

Silver Axe.

Captain John.

And opposing them—

Roger.

Chinjao.

Don.

Zeff.

Twelve monsters.

Twelve titans.

Except for Kaido—who was still growing—every single one was a force capable of shaking the world.

Arthur surveyed them all.

A gathering like this…

Perhaps the last of its kind.

A smile curved his lips.

"Looks like… this will become a bloody day."
