Chapter 16 - Armory

[Killing Intent Activated: 30 MP/Second]

"Durnok it's the time give it your all" Ash said as he used the skill. The beast was too powerful for Ash he could only freeze it for 2 second at most.

Durnok was a veteran who knew when to take advantage. Seeing the beast freeze it launched the spear all his mught. Its speed broke the sound barrier. As it pierced the thick scales of the beasts it rotated for an instant and then boom.

The energy charged inside the spear made the beast explode from inside splattering blood all over the place.

Ash was shocked by the power Durnok exhibited. While when he checked Durnok He was lying on the ground unconscious. Arlan lay beside him conscious but unable to move.

Ash grabbed them taking them to an hunter who was healing other injured. It's eyes were dull showing the efforts he was putting to heal the hunters.

Thinking about it Ash grabbed beast cores from the bag and started recovering his mana back. After using 6 beast cores he had his MP full but now he was back to 0.

"Here take it" Arlan threw A beast cores towards Ash.

Only one. Ash was disappointed. But it was different from his previous ones. It was bigger and brimming with energy.

He had one smaller left from 7 wolfs he killed so he used that to recover 10 then he used the new gift and it recovered 50 MP Alone.

Making his MP full. But he felt his head hurting like hell.

"Don't overuse them to recover MP, overusing may cause you go insane" Arlan said, he had recovered a little, his shield was glowing which indicated that an skill was active, maybe to recover.

'So another problem' Ash bit his tongue.

Finally he got the time to check his awaited Armory store.

As he Opened the armory store A hum resonated in his head, as if invisible gears turned. Then the fog parted in his vision, and a black-and-gold menu opened like a vault door.

Rows of weapons appeared in shimmering light, each turning slowly as if displayed in some phantom showcase.

Description and price of the item written under it.

Tactical throwable Knife (2000 Coins) – Compact, razor sharp, slightly mana-conductive. Easy to conceal.

Silenced Pistol (5,000 Coins) – Lightweight handgun with recoil dampener. Mana infusion increases bullet velocity.

Burstfire SMG (50,000 Coins) – Short-range beast. Three-round burst mode, optional mana-charging for added punch.

Mana Cartridge Converter (21,500 Coins) – Attachment: Bullets absorb mana before firing. Each shot consumes MP but deals extra damage.

Compact Smoke Grenades (3,200 Coins) – Creates dense cover for 15 seconds. Obscures even enhanced vision skills.

Grappling Gun (6,000 Coins) – Fires a reinforced mana-wire hook. Effective for scaling cliffs, rapid repositioning, or pulling enemies off balance.

Cloaking Module (30,000 Coins) – Short-term invisibility field. MP drains rapidly while active.

Scoped Sniper Rifle (500,000 Coins) – Long-range precision firearm. Mana bullets extend range and armor penetration. Requires steady aim.

Bloodtracker Goggles (18,000 Coins) – Detects heat signatures and fresh blood trails, even through light fog or cover.

These were some of them that attracted his eyes among many.

It was almost a full military arsenal just the difference was price. The better the weapon the more costly it is.

Finally he saw last weapon that he was eligible to unlock. Beyond that many of the sections were locked telling that he didn't have the permission.

Mana Rail Pistol (1,000,000 Coins) – Fires compressed mana projectiles. High penetration, but heavy MP drain.

His eyes turned to the items that he could buy and among them throwable knife and smoke grenade looked promising but he could buy at anytime so he would preferably accumulate coins for Smg or for cloaking module.

He could see many useful things that he could use to kill enemies. His mouth was drooling over the guns. His hands Twitched to buy throwable knife but then he remembered poisoned claws he had.

He held himself back.

Then at the next to the wall there were some empty spaces, Ash grabbed his pistol and focused his intention to put it then and it didn't work.

He didn't need to carry the gun with him anymore. He was happy with this feature.

Finally he focused on the cohort and saw everyone preparing to move.

The short merchant guy approached Ash with a big smile. "You are a great fighter, what's your plan once you part ways?".

Ash was agitated, honestly he didn't had any plans but he remembered what jack had suggested.

"Thankyou for compliment, I will just start a new life, register myself at the government association." Ash addressed formally.

"Would you like to follow me, I will pay you nice" Offered the merchant.

"My apologies, but I won't be able to go with you but we may meet in future if fate allows." Ash rejected politely.

"You saved us all back there," the man said suddenly, loud enough for everyone to hear. "If you ever change your mind, my caravan could use someone like you. A fighter of your caliber won't stay free for long."

'This damm bastard, is he want to die' Ash looked towards merchant coldly. He knew what he was trying to do. He wanted to put him in pressure and force him to join.

Newbie like him would have fallen for the trap and agreed in peer pressure but he had lived a life with such sly characters and he was not going to fall for it.

"My apologies, Merchant. I have my own path to walk. But perhaps we'll meet again."

The merchant looked amused by his reply.

Such strong will with hardened battle skills, he could see this man going far. Making good relations with him may help in future.

"As you say boy, here's gift from my side. Hope we will meet in future" with that he gave

an small pouch of gold coins in it. Which was biggest currency of this world.
