Honestly, for the stocks that belonged to him, whatever price he wanted to maintain them at, he basically could maintain them at that price.
If the market wanted to drop, he'd release some good news, then personally or jointly with some people buy up shares. However much others dumped, they'd buy that much, and naturally the price wouldn't fall.
If the market was buying on a large scale and the stock price exceeded his plan, he'd just dump on a large scale. Sure, there were only 1 million shares circulating in the market, but there were another 3 million shares in the hands of him and those nobles. Hedging would be a piece of cake.
He didn't care about whatever schemes those people were planning.
Compared to that, he was more looking forward to new companies flooding the market next, and the upcoming bond exchange launch.
