Chapter 180 - Swimming With My Husband

The meeting with Lando's mother was brief, barely even thirty minutes long.

No, it wasn't because his mother suddenly had an outburst or suddenly wanted him to leave. In fact, it was the opposite. She seemed to enjoy our visit and even asked me to play puzzles with her.

However, that only made it more painful for Lando. Maybe it was because she could only be this gentle when she couldn't recognize her own son. She even said that she didn't really remember what her son looked like.

"You should come visit me again someday," Zora said softly when Lando told her we had to go. She looked a little sad, as if she wanted us to stay longer and keep her company.

"We will," I finally said because Lando didn't respond to his mother's words. "It was really nice meeting you, Zora."

Zora nodded and smiled warmly at us. "I feel the same way. I'm really happy to meet you both. It's been a long time since I could talk properly with other people."
