Chapter 43 - Saying Hello to Kingpin

"Who is it?"

Kingpin's face, already imposing enough to frighten children, displayed a severe expression. His voice was low as he asked, "Who? Who dares to cause trouble on my turf? Is it Night Demon coming for a visit?"

"No, although he's changed his appearance somewhat, it appears to be Batman!" Bullseye shook his head.

"The one who flipped over the Continental Hotel?" Kingpin questioned.

"Yes."

Bullseye nodded, advising, "He's about to break in. It's not safe here right now. I suggest you all withdraw. Boss, you're a successful businessman now; this isn't the place for you."

"I'll wait for you in the car."

Kingpin said to Bullseye, "Deal with him quickly."

"No problem."

Bullseye's smile was cruel.

"Let's go, Mr. Sloan," Kingpin said, turning to the black man beside him. "We'll wait in the car for the good news."

"Of course."

Sloan agreed with Kingpin with a smile.

He didn't know yet that Batman's appearance wasn't aimed at Kingpin at all, but at him.

The Rabbit Armor was going on a rampage.

One after another, the thugs wielding weapons were sent flying by the Rabbit Armor. The firearms they carried were completely ineffective against its defenses.

Only heavy weapons could inflict any damage on the Rabbit Armor's incredibly strong outer shell.

Unfortunately, the heavy weapons in Hell's Kitchen were stored in other warehouses.

The time it would take to retrieve those weapons from the warehouse and bring them back to the battlefield was more than enough time for the Rabbit Armor to thrash these guys multiple times.

"Switch weapons! Armor-Piercing Rounds!"

Someone shouted, "Equip Armor-Piercing Rounds!"

Realizing their disadvantage, they rushed into the armory, preparing to switch to more powerful weapons.

But it was already too late.

Bang bang bang!

Under Anton's control, the Rabbit Armor plowed through the area, taking down over a hundred thugs.

Using the shadows and its powerful metal fists, the Rabbit Armor moved as if it were in a land of no one, and the damage the opponents inflicted on the Rabbit Armor was minimal.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a sharp dart came flying from afar.

Chh chh!

The dart pierced the joints of the Rabbit Armor's hands and feet, embedding itself deeply.

Boom!

The next second, the dart exploded.

The Rabbit Armor swayed, looking unharmed, but Anton, who was far away in Los Angeles, could see a message.

[Rabbit Armor: Durability down 3%, Damage Rate 5%]

The explosion of the dart damaged the Rabbit Armor.

Although the damage rate was extremely low and wouldn't affect the battle, it was clear that the guy who fired the dart was no longer the simple thugs Anton was currently facing.

"Oh?"

Through the eyes of the Rabbit Armor, Anton saw the bald man who had fired the dart.

Just by looking at the gun target tattoo on the bald man's brow, he knew his identity.

Bullseye!

"That Kingpin really is mixed up with the Brotherhood."

Anton wasn't surprised.

He had just extracted the relevant information from the Brotherhood members he'd dealt with at the Empire State Building; this was merely confirmation.

Unfazed, he leaped into action.

His bulky frame unleashed astonishing agility, attacking Bullseye.

Bullseye, of course, wasn't foolish enough to clash head-on with the Rabbit Armor. While he could fight, he knew his advantage lay in his uncanny ability with thrown projectiles, compared to the metal monstrosity before him.

So, he fired volleys of darts, left and right.

His body retreated rapidly, with no intention of engaging in close combat with the Rabbit Armor.

But then, his pupils constricted.

Boom!

The Rabbit Armor's shoulder-mounted cannon erupted in flames, and a powerful shell shot out, trailing a dazzling light as it landed near Bullseye.

The sound was like a meteor crashing to earth.

The shockwave created visible ripples in the air, spreading outwards in all directions.

Bullseye was caught in the massive impact, losing his balance and slamming hard into a wall.

Gray smoke billowed up.

Whoosh!

In an instant, a terrifying sound tore through the smoke, and a fist at least twice the size of a cooking pot slammed into Bullseye's chest.

"Pfft!"

Bullseye couldn't help but be sent flying, smashing through the wall behind him and being buried in bricks and rubble.

His condition was not good.

His eyes widened, and he spat out blood, not expecting to lose so quickly.

"Bullseye, boss!"

The smoke quickly dispersed a little, and the surrounding goons were horrified.

"Pah!"

Bullseye spat out a mouthful of blood and, supporting his body, stood up from the collapsed ruins, glaring at the Rabbit Armor in front of him. He had a dart between his fingertips and, taking advantage of the close proximity, thrust it towards the Rabbit Armor's joints, intending to repeat his earlier tactic.

Crack! Crack!

But as soon as he moved, his expression changed drastically.

The rocket launchers on the Rabbit Armor's shoulders had all swiveled, aiming directly at Bullseye.

This scene, along with the surrounding thugs, held their breath and stopped their helping hands, fearing getting too close, and even more so, disturbing the metal-clad brute.

Rocket launchers, these heavy weapons, were not toys for playing house.

The spot where the rocket launcher had just exploded was relatively far from the crowd; under Anton's special control, no one had died.

These people thought it was just good luck.

But now, at this crucial moment, they wouldn't dare gamble their lives on luck.

Seeing Bullseye frozen in place, a voice of disdainful coldness came from the Rabbit Armor's voice playback system.

Bang!

A single punch knocked the guy out. Then, carrying the unconscious Bullseye, he quickly rushed into the stairwell.

Using infrared scanning, Anton barely paused before immediately locating a hidden room.

But at this moment, the secret room was empty.

Another punch shattered the passage within the secret room's wall, and he chased after it.

Hell's Kitchen.

The outskirts.

A fully black, bulletproof luxury car was parked on the road.

The car was several sizes larger than ordinary vehicles, seemingly a custom model, reflecting the owner's status and identity.

Kingpin's massive physique was a perfect fit inside.

Beside him, the normally sized Sloan, who even appeared slightly hunched due to old age, felt as though he were in a small room.

"Mr. Fisk, I don't think I've ever heard about you having any issues with Batman," Sloan suddenly said, breaking the silence in the car.

"Isn't he supposed to be a superhero, according to the newspapers?"

Kingpin's face was calm. He was mentally strong enough not to care if people hated him, and therefore, he didn't care if someone targeted him.

In fact, assassination and being assassinated were things he experienced every day.

He said, "There are many who want to be heroes, and I've offended even more people. So, it doesn't matter what issues I have with him. What matters is that he'll soon become a resentful ghost beneath my vast empire."

Bang!

As soon as he finished speaking, a figure descended from the sky, landing heavily on the hood of the luxury car, which was several sizes larger than an ordinary car.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The car's hood was directly crushed.

However, this car was not cheap. It had bulletproof features on the outside, so the massive impact from the sky didn't do any significant damage to the vehicle's overall frame.

Inside the car, Kingpin and Sloan jolted with the car's movement, staring at the figure in front of the windshield, both their faces turning grim and unpleasant.

"Batman!"

Kingpin spat out the words through gritted teeth, clenching his fists.

Of course, this car wasn't just bulletproof; it was also soundproof.

Fortunately, Anton understood lip reading and saw the large man mouthing his name, so he waved at him, offering a less-than-friendly greeting.

Immediately afterward, he tossed Bullseye aside and leaped up once more.

Mid-air, the shoulder-mounted cannon adjusted its angle, aimed at the luxury car's windshield, and fire erupted with a roar.
