Chapter 101 - Green Arrow! An Unexpected Harvest!

The next day.

Anton stepped out of the hotel feeling refreshed and satisfied, carrying the joy of his gambling winnings as he boarded his return flight.

Naturally, Natasha followed right beside him.

As for the women who had played mahjong with him all night, each of them left the hotel smiling brightly, ready to face their next "job."

Though they had lost money, they had gained something far more valuable—Anton's promise and an invitation to appear in DC Studios' upcoming films.

Even if it was only a decorative "vase" role, it was enough to elevate their careers to a whole new level.

After all, movie actors stood at the very top of the entertainment world's hierarchy. It was a position most people could only look up to.

Meanwhile…

Tony Stark had gotten up early for a full-body checkup by his personal physician.

Once he was sure his body was in perfect shape—and more importantly, that his mind was functioning flawlessly—he finally relaxed and returned to his private underground lab to continue his research on the Iron Man suits.

After meeting Anton, and seeing his "remarkable performance," Tony had temporarily lost interest in investigating Batman.

For now, his priority was clear: eliminate every last ruthless criminal in the Gulmira region.

And second—conduct an internal investigation in secret.

Tony had made up his mind to uncover who, inside Stark Industries, had the audacity to sell weapons to those vile terrorists.

In truth, he already had a suspect in mind.

Lately, his influence in Stark Industries had waned. The company veteran, Obadiah Stane, had nearly sidelined him within the board of directors and continued to expand the weapons division.

Tony didn't want to believe it—but once he had time to breathe, he intended to confirm the truth and settle the score.

On the private jet flying back to New York,

Natasha sat a few seats behind Anton, staring at the back of his head. Her face remained composed, but her mind was filled with doubt.

This man's behavior didn't match the persona of Batman—the sovereign, godlike figure she had imagined.

Of course, there was always the possibility that it was all an act.

Natasha thought carefully over the past few days of interaction. If Anton was pretending, then he was one hell of an actor.

But maybe… maybe that was Batman's true nature.

Soon, they landed.

By the time they got back to DC Studios, it was already afternoon—nearly quitting time.

Anton debated whether he should invite Natasha out for drinks again tonight when she suddenly knocked on his office door.

"Boss, someone wants to see you," she said calmly.

"Who?" Anton narrowed his eyes. From her seemingly casual tone, he sensed something was off.

"He said his name is Coulson—your old friend."

Anton paused for a moment, then nodded. "Let him in."

He gave Natasha a deep, unreadable look before turning his gaze toward the door.

Moments later, a man with an extremely high hairline walked into the office.

Natasha tactfully stayed outside, closing the door behind him and waiting quietly.

"Anton, we meet again," Coulson greeted politely, his usual mild smile on his face. "I'm here about the Lizard and Green Goblin incidents."

"You should be looking for Batman for that kind of thing," Anton replied lazily."What's it got to do with me, Anton?"

He leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, chin tilted slightly upward—radiating a faint air of arrogance.

"So," he continued casually, "when exactly will I be meeting Batman?"

Coulson's expression didn't change. His smile remained patient and cordial.

He was unlike most of S.H.I.E.L.D.—calm, measured, and rarely forceful. It was precisely that quality that made his "death" during the Battle of New York so meaningful.

If it had been Nick Fury who died instead, Tony, Steve, and the others probably wouldn't have cared much—too busy fighting for authority and moral ground.

Even in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, when Fury's "death" was reported, only Hawkeye and Natasha were truly shaken. The rest? Mild surprise at best.

"I'll help you get in touch with him," Anton said evenly after a pause. "But right now, he might not be too eager to see you."

"Fair enough." Coulson nodded. "I'll be in New York for the next two weeks. I hope Batman will reach out. There's something very important I need to discuss with him."

Two weeks?

Anton's eyes flickered.

Obadiah had mentioned at Tony's party that the public demonstration of the "Artificial Sun" project would take place in two weeks.

So—S.H.I.E.L.D. already knew?

Or perhaps their real focus wasn't the experiment itself… but Obadiah Stane, who was so eager about it?

Anton studied Coulson silently, sensing that there was more to his visit than met the eye.

After a brief exchange, Coulson left satisfied, confident his words would reach Batman's ears.

Right on cue, Natasha entered the office again.

"Boss, Cyborg's box office numbers just exploded—global revenue has already surpassed $300 million!" she reported excitedly.

Anton glanced at the fan count for Cyborg: 12.62 million.

Less than eight hundred thousand more, and the real Cyborg would be born.

"How's the promotion going?" he asked offhandedly.

"The response has been huge—especially in the African-American community," Natasha replied. "Many believe it's a major step forward to have a black superhero lead a film. Public opinion's extremely positive. Some box office analysts have even raised domestic projections to $700 million, and global to $1 billion."

"Not bad."

Anton wasn't particularly fond of the politics around it—but he couldn't deny their support had been useful.

"And Green Arrow?" he asked.

"Also improving rapidly," Natasha said. "Thanks to targeted marketing and the spillover from Batman's fame, Green Arrow's viewership this week alone has nearly matched the previous month's total."

DC Studios was still young, not yet a major player—but under Batman's banner, every project carried immense potential.

Especially Green Arrow, whose concept overlapped with Batman's—a clear case of one hero's glory lifting another.

When one man rises, even the dogs and chickens follow.

And with Cyborg's post-credits tease hinting at the Justice League, excitement among fans skyrocketed.

They saw what DC was planning: a shared universe of heroes.

The Justice League!

The very name had been dropped in the teaser.

Fans were buzzing—what kind of sparks would fly when Batman and Cyborg met on-screen?

And the mention of an alien invasion… Darkseid?Who was that supposed to be?

Everyone was losing their minds in anticipation.

"Alright, I get it. You can go now. I need some quiet," Anton said, rubbing his temples and letting out a fake yawn.

Once Natasha left, his relaxed demeanor returned.

He opened his system panel, a faint grin tugging at his lips.

Of course he knew how well Green Arrow was doing. No one received feedback faster than he did.

The number was changing by the second—

Green Arrow Fan Value: 10.23 million.

Which meant…
