Chapter 4 - In the Toilet Goddess’s Name, Idol Meeting Magic!

"Idol Meeting?"

In a specific community, an inside joke once circulated. According to rumors, idols were so perfect they never needed to go to the bathroom. Simply put, they didn't need to pee or drop a dookie. Some Vtubers and streamers played along with the joke and used the excuse "Idol Meeting" whenever they secretly went to the washroom in the middle of the live stream.

Parita was confused about how the skill worked. She asked the system.

'What's this? What are the effects and how do I use it?'

DING

[Idol Meeting functions as an active skill. It can be used once per day, and it resets at midnight. Upon skill activation, your body will transform waste products like feces, urine, dead cells, extra fat, and cholesterol into Idol Points. Moreover, you can use it for cleaning yourself or a specific location not larger than 30 square meters. Can be upgraded.]

Parita didn't know what to think about this. A part of her wanted to smash the system screen and stomp it several times. Conversely, she was interested in what the Idol Points were for.

'What's the use of the Idol Points?' She asked.

[Idol Points is the currency for the Idol Store. You may exchange Idol Points for equipment, clothes, food, skill books, permanent status attributes, and various system features.]

'And where is the store?'

[The store will be accessible once you have completed the tutorial quests.]

In the end, Parita had to complete the tutorial quests first. Fortunately, the fifth one was easy.

DING

[You have used a random skill book.]

[Your CHARM attribute has increased by 1.]

[Idol's Cleaning Tool has been deposited into your temporary system inventory.]

DING

[Initiating the tutorial quest #6.]

[Activate the temporary live stream system and complete the guild quest.]

[Rewards: Unlock Live 2D Model. Permanently increase your charm attribute by 1.]

Regardless of how sketchy the system was, Parita didn't bother questioning its purpose or ulterior motive. She reread the log messages and noticed that she had unlocked a live streaming feature.

A third screen emerged and floated next to the message screen. It looked like the OBS software she uses for streaming. What was strange, however, was the camera settings, as the OBS display showed the bird's-eye view, her full appearance from the front, her back, and her first-person view simultaneously. She also couldn't fiddle with the options or tools. Only two buttons, "Live" and "Stop", were available.

'How do I use this?' Parita asked the system again.

[You can start your live stream by pressing the 'LIVE' button.]

'What platform are we broadcasting on? WeTube, Toktik, Punch, or Switch?'

[None of those platforms exists in this world. We will directly broadcast your live stream in this city's town square.]

'Huh? But there's no TV or media.'

[The system shall handle those parts. You are welcome to stream live at your convenience, from any location.]

[For this quest, it is advised to start streaming from the beginning.]

Parita shrugged. She turned to the screen and looked at her current appearance.

Seeing the pink-haired elf on the screen, she moved around and admired her new physique. Imagining herself in this body forever, she was overjoyed.

[Please note. The mocap outfit and system made the current appearance a reality. You can buy a system perk from the Idol Store if you want to remain like this forever.]

Parita ignored the message. She kept staring at the elf's smiling face and played with her expressions. Although her actual face under the mask shifted slightly, the elf's expression exaggerated it tenfold, generating anime-style reactions. She had fun with it.

She didn't notice that pedestrians were giving her weird looks. A mother covered her six-year-old daughter's eyes and pulled her away from Parita.

After 10 minutes of facial exercises, Parita stopped playing. She pressed the 'Live' button to start the live stream, entrusting the video quality and other miscellaneous tasks to the system.

= Town Square, Center of Diddease Town =

The town square was located at the center of Diddease Town, a one-square-kilometer city. Its four main roads connected there. At its center, a fountain pond served as a public water source for townspeople. The Adventurers Guild was situated north of the town square.

A magical cube appeared and hovered above the fountain. Its sides crackled and shifted, becoming screens facing in every direction. The face of Parita showed up.

"What the hell?"

"What is going on?"

Townspeople all looked at the broadcasting monitors and paid attention to the pink-haired elf.

Parita walked away from the town square, oblivious to the commotion. She followed the street to the alchemy store, where the client was.

The store was a one-story brick building with a tall chimney. Parita looked up and inspected the chimney from outside. Due to the skin mask's effects, her expression remained cheerful by default. The OBS captured her crescent smiling mouth.

'So, how does this work? Do I knock on the door and ask for permission to clean the chimney?'

Parita still pondered which method she could use to climb to the roof. Also, she glanced at her inventory system and found a new item, 'Idol's Cleaning Tools.'

The item's icon was a bundle of various cleaning tools inside a hotel housekeeping cart. However, judging from the image icon, nothing seemed to be suitable for chimney cleaning.

Parita mustered her courage and knocked on the door. However, since it was a store, the door was unlocked. She peeked inside.

Within the store were a lone wooden counter and two shelves full of strange objects and potion bottles. Parita entered the store and looked around, searching for the store owner. She noticed a black fireplace in the corner of her eye, located behind the counter. The entire interior was dim because the only illumination came from the lone candle on the counter.

"A customer? What do you need?"

A voice echoed in the store, but Parita couldn't find anybody. Even as a drop of sweat ran down her cheek, her artificial elf look stayed cheerful.

"I'm here for the chimney cleaning request. I'll clean it for you."

"Oh, a new adventurer?"

An elderly lady phased through the wall and counter, walking closer to Parita. Since the elder was only 140 cm tall, she had to gaze upwards to get a good look at Parita.

Parita almost screamed from fright as she mistook her for a ghost. Fortunately, the mocap suit suppressed her voice and paralyzed her. It then proceeded to manipulate her movements and her mouth to interact with the shop owner.

The owner sized up Parita and asked. "You have a weird sense of fashion. Are you a mage?"

"I'm an idol, ma'am."

"What kind of class is that?" The alchemist rubbed her chin, interested in the unique class.

The mocap suit continued manipulating Parita's voice. "It's a class that protects people's smiles, ma'am."

"Still sounds weird. Anyway, I haven't cleaned the chimney for years, and it's clogged. Can you even handle that? Also, I don't see cleaning tools."

"No problem, ma'am. I know a few tricks!"

Despite being confused by the suit's actions, Parita allowed it to control her movements and watched its operation. The suit moved her body toward the chimney. She waved her arms as though she were performing a grand magic incantation.

"In the Toilet Goddess's name, I, Kestrel, hereby declare the ultimate standard of sanitation! Idol Meeting Magic! Divine Flush of Judgment!"

The alchemist elder's expression twisted, cringing at the absurdity of the incantation. Parita also inwardly screamed and almost committed seppuku in her mind due to the embarrassment.

'What did you make me say?!' Parita screeched.

DING

[Activating Idol Meeting!]

Following the system alert, Parita's body and the entire house glowed in a blinding light. Instinctively, the alchemist put her hands over her eyes while Parita got flash-banged by the system once more.

'MY EYES!'

Parita inwardly cried. She blamed the system for forcing her eyes open throughout the entire ordeal.

The light faded away. Parita and the store owner regained their vision.

The ceiling had absorbed light from Parita's skill and illuminated green lights, similar to luminescent toys in the modern world. The store brightened green.

Meanwhile, the brick chimney was sparkling clean. The tunnel's interior looked new, as if it had just been built. As for the accumulated dust and dirt before, they magically vanished.

Parita also sensed emptiness in her stomach and limbs. Something inside her disappeared along with the dust, yet it was a pleasant feeling. She felt a sense of relief, as if she had eliminated all the waste that had accumulated during the week of constipation.

DING

[You have received 10 Idol Points.]

[Your skill 'Idol Meeting' will be refreshed after midnight.]

Parita glanced at the message screen and noticed that she could move her body again. She turned around to face the store owner.

"Done! Could you stamp the document, please?" Parita handed the lady the guild paper.

"…"

Everybody at the town square witnessed the magic. Several villagers recognized the alchemy store's owner.

"Isn't that Pigeon granny?" One of the townsmen pointed at the screen.

"Yeah. Wait, how is she inside that cube?!"

"Call the guild! Someone is trapped in the cube!"

Many villagers rushed into the Adventurers Guild to inform the members about the broadcast. However, as they entered, they also found a similar cube floating in the middle of the hall, showing a similar live stream.

Adventurers in the building also gawked at the screens. Some men brought chairs and ladders to get rid of it, but their physical weapons and bodies phased through the cube. The mages attempted to cast an attack spell on it, but the monitors remained unaffected.

Sars, Tetanus, Rubella, Parrot, and Sparrow were as bewildered as the others. Still, they recognized Parita, the culprit behind this incident.

Rubella, the receptionist and a former A-rank adventurer, was the first to regain her composure. She appeased the crowd, as she figured something.

"Calm down! This might be our new member's abilities. Her unique class might have something to do with this!"

Sparrow, the red-haired knight and the strongest B-rank adventurer of the guild, shouted at Rubella while she and her friends still gathered at a table.

"What is her class again, Ruby?"

"Idol!"

"Idol?"

"Yeah. Idol."

"Hmm."

Sparrow pondered the meaning behind the word. It was not her first time hearing the vocabulary, but it had a different meaning.

In the local terminology, "idol" meant a representation or symbol of a deity. There was no other meaning.

A wild guess hit her. Sparrow muttered out loud. "By any chance, is her class a variant of a saintess or a servant of a deity? Idol means a representative of a god or a goddess, right?"

The hall froze in silence. They stared at Sparrow with wide eyes as her words enlightened them. They looked at the cube again.

Coincidentally, Parita did something absurd. She chanted.

"In the Toilet Goddess's name, I, Kestrel, hereby declare the ultimate standard of sanitation! Idol Meeting Magic! Divine Flush of Judgment!"

Some adventurers spat out ale and beer. Several female members dropped their jaws in astonishment while Rubella's expression turned to stone because of the cringe. Men stared at the screen in silence.

A few seconds after the pause, the men's shoulders trembled while they turned away, hiding their faces. A few women blushed in embarrassment while the shameless ones cackled. Soon, the hall was filled with laughter and giggling.

"TOILET GODDESS!!"

"MY SIDE! IT HURTS!"

"BEST INCANTATION EVER!"

Their words and laughter went on for a second. The screen then flashed white as the skill took effect. When the light faded, nobody laughed anymore.

The dimmed store brightened in green, and the fireplace was clean anew. The cameras zoomed inside the chimney, revealing a sparkling clean tunnel.

"Whoa."

Rubella faintly smiled, impressed by the show. Several supporters and adventurer parties raised their eyebrows, recognizing the usefulness of the spell.

Parrot, Sparrow, and her team members jumped up from their seats and gazed at the screen with bloodshot eyes. Their party was an all-female team, and they prioritized cleanliness and hygiene. Upon seeing how useful the spell was, they couldn't sit still.

"Recruit that girl at all costs!" Sparrow ordered Parrot, who had proposed the idea earlier.

Meanwhile, a silent figure in the corner gazed at the screen with bright eyes. Her trembling hand almost dropped a cup full of holy water. Her white vampire fangs reflected on the surface of the water for a moment before she put the cup down and adjusted her hooded cloak.
