Lucas didn't release Beauty until she was nearly breathless from the kiss.

"Didn't you get enough kissing Nathalie just now?
Why come after me?"
Beauty bit out each word, her brows furrowed in displeasure.
Lucas chuckled lowly, the sound only fueling her irritation.

It wasn't what you thought."
His heart twisted with guilt as his gaze fell on the wound on her knee.
