Drake woke to find dusk had already settled.
Sarah was sitting in the room reading a book, and at the sound of heavy footsteps, she lifted her head, her gaze meeting his deep, penetrating eyes.
"I've been struggling with insomnia lately," he said, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
Leaning against the doorframe, he regarded her with a lazy, almost indolent expression, as if waiting for her response.
Sarah set her book down and gave him an impassive look.
"Since you're well-rested now, Drake, it's time for you to leave.
I have matters to attend to outside, and your presence here is… inconvenient."
She made to step past him, but in one swift motion, he caught her arm and pulled her firmly against his chest.
Their eyes locked, tension simmering between them, each lost in their own thoughts.
"What do you want from me?" she demanded, her voice sharp with anger.
