Chapter 25 - The vision

Becky POV

"She's gone into shock; quick, bring the compressor…" the doctor shouted as the hospital bustled with hurried movements.

I jolted up. "That's my mom." I ran to the door.

"You can't go in; let us do our job," a nurse said, backing the door.

"No!!" I screamed, clutching my head, but someone hugged me tightly.

"These people can't help your mum come to Atlas City with me," he whispered.

My body shook against his hard chest, tears sliding out of my eyes. "You can get her the best doctors?" For some reason I wanted to trust in this man, this devil, because now I knew only by being powerful could you have everything.

"You'll see for yourself I'd get a private jet here, and we'll leave when she's out of shock," he muttered. "You just have to let me experiment on you and work for me; then nobody dares touch you."

After some time, the doctors stepped out. "Her brain was fighting her body; that's why she went into shock. It seems she was remembering some traumatic events."

I sighed, "Doctor, can you please prepare transfer papers? I'm taking her to another city for treatment."

"Why? She's going to be okay here," he asked.

"This is my mother, and you know nothing, so do as I say," I snapped at him.

"Okay, fine, we'll get it ready in an hour," he replied, walking away frightened.

The private jet arrived, and my mom was pushed out with an oxygen mask. I ran, holding her hand. "Mum, it's me. What would you like to eat?" I wish she could respond and even scold me. We had so much unfinished business.

"I'd love to go back to school; my mom had always wanted me to be a graduate," I said, waiting for the masked man to reply.

His eyes darted to my tear-stained face. "You know I wanted you because you were strong? I wouldn't hesitate to discard you if I ever see your tears."

I hurriedly cleaned my eyes. I was a werewolf; he needed me. "This is my only weakness," I whispered.

"Fine, you can continue schooling," he muttered.

Atlas City smelled like pain, betrayal, and blood, but I had to save my mom and get revenge on Drey and all his people. Remembering all they did to me, I knew the day when I collected all debts was close.

We arrived at a giant estate, bigger than anything I've ever seen, and countless guards were patrolling with CCTV cameras flashing red. I stepped down, nervously watching my mom being pushed out.

The guards all stopped what they were doing and stood saluting their boss, their movements in sync. I wondered how cruel someone had to be to rule this number of people, and somewhere at the back of my mind, I wished it was me with all the power.

"She's one of us now. I hope you guys get along," he muttered.

"Natalie get her a room and show her around," he said, walking away.

She was tall and sexy and had an air of arrogance; her cleavage sprung out from her tank top. I wouldn't lie; she had nice boobs, but she looked at me with disdain.

The doctors took my mom away first. I decided to go check the place my mom was being carried to before checking my room.

"I… I'd like to check on my mum before checking the room out," I muttered.

"Hey, blondie, what do you think Boss could possibly do with your weak-ass mother?" She sneered.

"My name is Becky, not Blondie," I snapped at her. I was literally thin with patience.

"Suit yourself," she hissed, walking out.

I hated her guts already, and now there was one more person I wished to tear apart. Does my hair color automatically get me hate from girls? I wondered.

"Hey!!" I called out to a young child walking, something in me drawn to her.

"Can you show me where the hospital is located in this base?" I asked her, looking at the child closely. Her eyes had a surge of power in them.

"Aunty, you're a werewolf like me," she said excitedly.

"Y…yes, is that a thing to be happy about?" I asked the little girl, stroking her hair.

"Yes, aunty, my name is FaeFae. That's what my mother called me before she died."

"Everyone told me I was unlucky for being a werewolf; that boss was going to tear me open one day to study me like the other werewolves in the underground base," she kept on rambling.

"Tear open? My eyes widened. Was this the experiment?" I muttered, "Alright, pretty FaeFae, can you please show me the hospital now?"

"Oh, it's true. Let's go, but Aunty, what's your name?" She was such a talkative little girl but somehow managed to reduce my worries, so I entertained all of her questions as we kept on walking.

As we got close to the hospital, I passed by a large mirror. My eyes turned red, and my head thundered with pain. I held my head, and I heard voices…

 "Save us Alpha!"

"Run from doom"

"you're cursed now; everyone dies because of you." "She likes blood."

 "She's just what you wanted."

I saw wolves torn apart, blood spilling.

"No!!" I screamed, opening my eyes, and everything was normal. Was that another vision?

"Aunty!!! Are you okay?" the little girl called beside me, clearly scared.

"I'm fine; you can go. I know the place from here," I said. I didn't want the little girl to become scared of me, as I was already getting scared of myself. The vision, am I truly cursed? Do I make people around me die? Lots of unanswered questions filled my head.

Masked man POV

"Yes, I finally got my hands on an Alpha. This time my creation will succeed," he laughed maniacally.

"They're just toys for my experiments while I'm their god," he muttered to himself.

Pulling his mask as he went inside to shower, his eye shone with a crazed expression…

The door opened, and someone stepped inside looking pissed.

The sound of Shower halted. "Why did you come here?" he shouted at her as he stepped out naked, water trailing down his chest and hair.

"Who's that blondie weak-ass human?" Natalie hissed.

He grabbed her neck, pinning her to the wall. "You slut, don't ever question me, and she's going to beat your ass if you think she's weak."

"S-sorry, boss," she choked.

He finally let go and kissed her roughly as tears filled her eyes, not daring to utter a single word.

"Good, know your place." He sneered. "Now leave and don't ever step into this room again unless I call for you, and if she kills you with anger, I'd be glad."

He called an elderly man, "Get level 1 ready; we have a subject."

From the other end of the line, "Boss, nobody has ever survived level 1. Why don't we continue with the 3 we've been using?"

"Are you the boss now? Remember, with a snap of my finger, I can get your whole family killed in Atlas City," he threatened.

"Sorry, boss, it will be ready before next week." He shivered on the other end of the line.

"They have arrived at Atlas City, boss, Gabriel said.

The scarface laughed, but his eyes hinted at evil. "I'd love to engage that idiot in a battle and throw him off balance. In two weeks' time, we'd crash his base."

"Let's pay him a small visit. I want to personally be the woman to help that girl wolf out. We have to speed up our plans," Gabriel added.

Both men planned in silence of the impending doom they both hated. Werewolves and anybody who refused to bring them down with him were already their enemy.

While Becky to them was just a ticking time bomb that could blow it all up.

Becky POV

I returned to my room with the help of another guard after seeing my mom. There were a lot of doctors, and they reassured me it was going to be alright.

I even heard whispers of how they thought I was just human, but it turned out I was the new subject, and they bet on how long I could last. I just sneered in my heart; I could last for however long I wanted, whatever that means.

"Life and death was in my hand. I would no longer play by the rules of fate. My main goal is to defy fate. Only when I want to die will I die," I vowed. Bringing out a small dagger with me, I pierced my blood, drinking it.

"Alpha something is out there calling us." That was the voice of my wolf.

"Where?" I asked."It's calling on all Alpha with the fate of the blood moon," she whispered.

"When are you going to awaken fully, and don't tell me anything about fate?" I snapped.

Fate! Fate! Fate! I was tired, but the vision kept me scared.
