Chapter 49 - Accidentally killing a Werewolf

I quickly grabbed FaeFae, managed to get the things my mom asked for, and headed home.

The vision had left me trembling, and the faint glow that appeared on my wrist had disappeared like it was never there. All these made me weary. I was watching out for my surroundings because I didn't wish to meet any more annoying people.

I made a mental note to ask Father about the vision; he could have an idea of what was to come.

Even as we made our way back home, my heartbeat hadn't slowed. Every step felt like walking through a dream that refused to end. Flashes of the crimson moon, wolves drenched in blood, and Drey's chained face replayed over and over behind my eyelids.

I looked at FaeFae. How much longer could I protect her from this world? She skipped around humming now without any worries.
