Chapter 73 - I Want My Daughter Back

"No. Glory might not like me much right now, but she wouldn't snatch my daughter. And even if she wanted to, Jonas would talk her out of it. He's a good man."

"We'll still need to talk to them." No matter how Cece felt about her sister's motives, it didn't mean Glory hadn't taken Lila. Especially if Glory thought the girl was better off with her. Blue glanced at the coffee table and nodded toward the textbook. "Lila learning Calculus?"

Cece offered a slight smile. "That's mine. I'm taking online college classes for an accounting degree."

"You like math, huh?"

"Yeah. Numbers don't lie. They don't change. They follow the rules. They're easy to

understand. Easier than people, at least." Cece suddenly stood. "I'm sorry, Sheriff. I didn't offer you anything to drink. You want coffee? Orange juice?"

"No, thank you," said Blue. "I appreciate the offer, though."
