Chapter 53 - Do Something Interesting

Although Sakura thought this way, she was actually very serious about choosing clothes for Aslan.

"What's wrong? Hasn't Sakura finished choosing yet?"

Aslan wore a well-fitted blue suit and spun around in front of Sakura as he spoke.

The neatly tailored suit, tall posture, golden hair shining like sunlight, combined with a handsome face—he looked like a prince or knight straight out of fantasy.

"Umm..."

Sakura sank into her thoughts.

(Brother Aslan is too handsome. He looks good in anything.)

Especially now, Aslan had already attracted the attention of many women.

Sakura didn't feel too happy about this, feeling as if someone else might steal her Brother Aslan.

"Then, this one."

After making her decision, Sakura immediately took Aslan's hand and went to the cashier.

But when Aslan reached to pay, Sakura stopped his hand.

"Brother Aslan, these are clothes I bought for you. Of course, I'll pay."

Saying that, Sakura took out a bank card from her small wallet and handed it to the cashier.

For some reason, this made Aslan feel as if he were being taken care of, even though it was Sakura's money.

It was property left behind by Byakuya for Sakura.

In a sense, Aslan was now completely dependent on Sakura for food and drink.

Being taken care of by a rich girl didn't seem so bad.

Still, Aslan felt the glances of people around them change—from originally kind looks to suddenly scornful ones.

He's already so grown-up, yet still spending a child's money.

Some even said they could do it too.

Of course, Aslan and Sakura didn't care.

After storing the clothes Sakura had bought for him, Aslan held Sakura's hand and bought food along the way back to Matou Manor.

Of course, Sakura paid and fed him. It seemed Sakura enjoyed being fed?

◆━⊰✧⊱━◆

In front of the Matou Manor gate.

A suspicious man in sportswear and a hoodie was crouching, seemingly preparing to enter Matou Manor.

Not quite accurate. Rather than saying "enter," he looked more anxious and slightly fearful?

Yet he quickly gathered his courage and prepared to kick the door open and enter boldly.

"Umm... Although I don't know your purpose, I must remind you there's a Barrier here."

Aslan gently poked Kariya's shoulder and reminded him.

A simple Barrier he'd learned from Karyou. If anyone unauthorized tried to enter, they'd be instantly incinerated upon crossing the threshold.

The reason it was called a "simple" Barrier was because the object didn't limit its power. Once threatened, it would instantly explode with a powerful counterattack.

Of course, the old insect was too weak—couldn't even trigger the Barrier.

Kariya was also startled, nearly falling in. But Aslan pulled him back. Otherwise, the Barrier might have truly been triggered.

Aslan also decided—to prevent accidents, he'd set up a new Barrier later.

This was a Barrier he'd casually set upon first arriving, to prevent the old insect from escaping.

"Let's go, Sakura. Time to go home."

Before Kariya could recover, Aslan immediately carried Sakura inside.

He left only Kariya, deep in thought, standing at the door. He wanted to go in and find out what had really happened, but he didn't dare enter.

Though he and the old insect were no longer connected, his relationship with his older brother Byakuya was still good.

When he learned that Aoi's daughter, Sakura, had been adopted by the Matou family, Kariya was angry, despairing, and guilty.

No one knew better than him what Matou family Magecraft was like.

But when he learned from Byakuya that Zouken was dead and Sakura was being well cared for, Kariya was confused.

Especially now, Sakura was truly fine and showed no signs of abuse.

If so, should he take Sakura back to Aoi's side and continue protecting her?

"Uncle Kariya? Why aren't you coming in?"

Sakura turned around and looked at Kariya in confusion.

Aslan nodded, signaled him to enter, and adjusted the Barrier.

"Come in. After all, this is your home too."

After receiving Aslan's permission, Kariya finally dared to enter Matou Manor.

"Umm, although this is very impolite, I still want to ask you to return Sakura to her biological parents."

Kariya bowed deeply to Aslan.

"And then? To be sent away again by Tohsaka Tokiomi?"

Aslan scoffed and countered. Although if so, it seemed it might give Sakura a fairly good future.

Adopted by the Edelfelt family—perhaps that could be considered a good future.

But Sakura now, having experienced abandonment and being thrust into an insect nest, could no longer reach that future.

Besides, why should Aslan chase away such a cute and wise Sakura?

"I..."

Kariya fell silent. He didn't know what to say.

He could do nothing. Could change nothing. He could only watch in silence.

When he learned Sakura was sent to the Matou family, he'd even felt a bit of joy—a bit of joy that if he saved Sakura, Aoi would acknowledge him.

"You really only think of yourself."

Aslan sighed, no longer paying attention to Kariya. He turned, picked up Sakura, and walked into the room.

"Still one year until the Greater Grail gathers enough Mana?"

Aslan stroked his chin and calculated. But waiting a whole year here felt too long.

It might also not be very interesting.

"How about we speed it up?"

Once the idea came, Aslan felt intrigued. After all, if he truly had to wait a year, he might as well cross to another world.

Anyway, the Greater Grail also gathered power through Fuyuki City's Spiritual Veins. But for Aslan, the Mana the Greater Grail gathered over sixty years wasn't even as much as the divine power he possessed right after obtaining his Divinity.

Not to mention, the quality of divine power far exceeded the Mana gathered by the Greater Grail.

Now, it couldn't be compared at all.

So, as long as he gave the Greater Grail a bit of energy, he could truly accelerate the Holy Grail War.

Only didn't know what kind of Heroic Spirit would be summoned by his Arthur Divinity?

Would he steal Saber?

Or summon Old Sword?

Or summon another Heroic Spirit? Aslan was slightly curious.

Of course, there was also Angra Mainyu. That also seemed interesting.

Maybe he could do something interesting.
