Chapter 77 - Angra Mainyu All the World’s Evils

[Project Number: UC-0001 (Elizabeth)]

Containment Level: Keter

Containment Procedures: Must be stored in an isolated Biosafety Level 4 laboratory. The laboratory must be equipped with a complete airlock system and independent ventilation to prevent virus spread.

All personnel entering Laboratory UC-0001 must wear specialized biological protective suits and undergo strict sterilization procedures before and after entry. Any sample of UC-0001 must be handled and studied under stringent security protocols.

Description: UC-0001 is the [Mother of Blacklight Virus], exhibiting a highly mutated biological entity with exceptional adaptation and regeneration capabilities. UC-0001 can infect other organisms through direct contact, bodily fluid transmission, or airborne pathways, rapidly transforming hosts into aggressive [Blacklight] monsters. Physical attributes of UC-0001 include but are not limited to: enhanced strength, speed, and stamina, as well as the ability to release and control the [Blacklight Virus].

Document Attachment: The origin of UC-0001 remains unclear, but it is believed to be linked to rituals or experiments of ancient civilizations. The discovery location of UC-0001 is [DATA DELETED]; the organization discovered UC-0001's existence during an investigation of abnormal activities in that area.

Experiment Notes: All direct experimentation with UC-0001 must be approved by Umbrella Corporation board-level personnel.

Experimental records indicate that UC-0001 possesses extremely high adaptability against various attacks. After exposure to attacks including but not limited to conventional weapons, extreme heat, and extreme cold, it rapidly develops adaptive mechanisms.

When severely damaged, UC-0001 can quickly regenerate through unknown means.

Incident Report: UC-0001 once escaped containment, resulting in several personnel becoming infected and transformed into [Blacklight] monsters. The incident was eventually contained, and all infected personnel were isolated, with security protocols fully enforced.

WARNING WARNING!!! [DATA DELETED] ACTION FAILED!!! [DATA DELETED] [DATA DELETED]

[DATA DELETED] is now officially renamed [Angra Mainyu].

"Seems sufficient, right? Anything else to add?"

Aslan twirled a steel pen and gently touched his cheek.

He was constructing the newly reconstructed Spirit Status for Blacklight—crafting Blacklight's past, and the origin of its Spirit Status.

Though entirely fabricated, as long as enough people believed it, even lies could become reality.

Little Garden was exactly such a world.

This was one method of obtaining the Poet's Status—the ability to make others believe fictional poetry was real, truly affecting people and altering the fate of the world.

Although it sounded noble, Poets were essentially just liars. Only these liars had deceived history and fooled the entire world.

This was part of the legacy left behind by Canaria, which Aslan discovered in the No Name library.

"Oh right, there's also the process of how [Elizabeth] became [Angra Mainyu]."

"Though I don't need to state it explicitly, it must be convincing—a truth that can be investigated."

People wouldn't believe truths told to them by others, but instead deeply trust information they deduced themselves.

Therefore, the more you want others to believe, the less you should say it directly.

After thinking briefly, Aslan continued writing.

Elizabeth, a young girl who lived carefree in the countryside, until one day a group of people in isolation suits took her to a laboratory and assigned her the number UC (Umbrella Corporation)-0001.

Then she was locked inside the lab and subjected to cruel experiments, including but not limited to blood extraction, cutting, poison testing, extreme heat, extreme cold, nuclear radiation...

After countless experiments, they discovered a horrifying compatibility between Elizabeth and the XX virus. Even after fusing with the virus, she became nearly immortal, possessing unimaginable adaptability.

Or rather, evolutionary capability. She evolved at millions of times the rate of ordinary organisms, adapting instantly to new environments.

Finally, after innumerable experiments, Elizabeth ultimately evolved into the ultimate lifeform most desired by Umbrella Corporation. She was immortal, adaptable to any environment, and capable of consuming and absorbing the memories and genes of others.

And then, the apocalypse—the Biohazard.

Believing they had become a higher form of life, they felt justified in dominating the world and creating a new one.

So they willingly released the virus they had researched, attempting to plunge the entire world into apocalypse.

Of course, the plan both succeeded and failed. After Umbrella Corporation created the Raccoon City crisis, Raccoon City was destroyed by a nuclear bomb.

To prove their innocence and nobility, they cast all blame for the world's destruction onto Elizabeth, who had always been used as an experimental subject.

Elizabeth always believed she was contributing to humanity, enduring experiment after experiment for that purpose.

In the end, her fate was to bear all the evil responsible for the world's destruction—and be utterly annihilated.

Afterward, the world returned to peace as usual, yet the virus's influence remained. At least everyone in this world now had someone to curse and vent upon.

No matter what evil occurred, they could blame it on her.

She seemingly became the factor causing all evil in this world. All evils were caused by the influence of the virus she released.

Everyone in the world was innocent. All criminal impulses stemmed from the virus's influence, not their own will.

Did Elizabeth die? Elizabeth died.

The naive young girl who wanted to contribute to humanity died. From her remains arose a monster named Angra Mainyu.

Since you all believe every evil impulse in the world comes from the virus, and that she destroyed the world,

Then let her truly destroy the world.

The button for world destruction had been pressed since the first experiment. It was only that the virus concentration wasn't sufficient, and everything was in incubation—except for Raccoon City.

Now Angra Mainyu, the source of all evil in this world, acknowledged that he was indeed the source of this evil.

So he decided to fulfill his mission and do what an Evil God must do.

Thus, he detonated this final button.

The world was destroyed.

"How is this story? A tragedy leading to world destruction, and also the birth process of All the World's Evils."

Aslan gently spun the steel pen in his hand. The pen danced like a butterfly in his palm.

"Little An?"

Aslan seemed to ask, but no one was beside him now.

No—not no one. But a lump of black mud without consciousness or personality moved twice, as if responding to Aslan.

"Displacement Magecraft—the shifting of Boundaries between illusion and reality."

By exploiting the ambiguity and degradation produced by Displacement Magecraft when shifting objects and concepts, Aslan could touch upon a fragment of Boundary power.

After all, in Little Garden, time and space were also classified as Boundaries.

"All the World's Evils, Angra Mainyu."
