Chapter 95 - Umbrella Corporation Spanning the Multiverse

For some reason, Aslan felt that the Type-Moon world model was too similar to Little Garden's.

No wonder Little Garden's Central Core had chosen this world as a candidate for constructing a second Little Garden.

Even Spirit Origins, in a sense, were quite similar to Spirit Status.

"In short, it's all about continuing history."

One could only say this was truly a universe created by Kinoko Nasu—filled with disasters.

Especially since this world also contained Cthulhu-like entities akin to "hell."

"By the way, Gaia, roughly how many worldlines end in Steel of the Land?" Aslan asked curiously.

"The probability is 20%. If a worldline develops normally, there's about a 20% chance it will become Steel of the Land."

Gaia glared at Alaya resentfully.

The end of Steel of the Land was entirely caused by humanity's uncontrolled exploitation and consumption of Earth's resources, leading to planetary death.

That's why she blamed Alaya.

"That's enough."

Aslan recalled how he had extended the end of Steel of the Land in this world by several centuries.

One reason was the energy he provided; another might be the biohazard caused by the Blacklight Virus and the existence of Angra Mainyu.

Due to this biohazard, the human population drastically decreased, reducing planetary resource exploitation.

A 20% probability was sufficient for the Umbrella Corporation to leave a significant mark on the history of the Type-Moon world.

"So, Gaia, would you be interested in becoming CEO of the Umbrella Corporation?"

After calculating the odds, Aslan asked.

"Explain further?"

Gaia suddenly became curious, while Alaya sensed something ominous.

She felt misfortune was about to befall her.

"I plan to extend all worldlines ending in Steel of the Land by several centuries, just like this one."

"In return, the Umbrella Corporation must appear in all those worldlines."

After all, Aslan possessed a Land card containing the headquarters of the Umbrella Corporation from numerous parallel worldlines.

This Land card held one-billionth of Little Garden's essence.

With the Umbrella Corporation's help, its headquarters would also be projected into the Type-Moon world.

"Hm? Really? That would require terrifying amounts of energy."

Gaia stared at Aslan in shock. She knew exactly how much energy was needed to alter the future—especially across hundreds of years.

And with a 20% probability, the scale was unimaginable.

"You don't need to worry about that. The important thing now is—can you do it?"

"With your position as Earth's Counter Force."

After thinking for a moment, Gaia shook her head slightly.

"It's difficult. I can't intervene in Counter Forces from other worldlines. Even this worldline's Counter Force only changed because of you."

However, when Gaia saw Manaka at the Matou household preparing lunch for Aslan, an idea struck her.

"I know! I can make your Angra Mainyu into Earth UO."

Earth UO (Ultimate One) was the embodiment of Gaia's will—a mechanism Gaia, as Earth's Counter Force, created to prevent humanity from destroying the planet.

Moreover, Angra Mainyu, born from technological advancement and a highly contagious virus, was perfectly suited as a UO. She could eliminate humans on a massive scale.

Not to mention her ability to evolve at an extremely rapid pace.

She was the Beast of Progress, Earth UO, and Absolute Evil.

"But to influence other worlds, you'll need help from your little girl."

"Little girl?" Aslan realized who she meant.

"You mean Manaka?"

Gaia nodded and continued.

"Since I can't intervene in Counter Forces from other worldlines, I'd lose control. But Sajyou Manaka, the Princess of the Root who is naturally connected to the Root, can do it."

"With the Root's assistance, she can intervene in Counter Forces, spreading information about the new UO and the possibility of a new future."

"Other Earth Counter Forces won't reject it."

"Still, I can't guarantee history in other worldlines will unfold exactly as you imagine or cause the Umbrella Corporation to emerge."

Aslan tapped the table rhythmically while contacting Little Garden's Central Core.

"Are you there? Give an audio signal?"

[Chirp.]

"??" Aslan's eyebrow twitched. He felt Little Garden's Central Core was becoming increasingly unreliable.

[We can use the Conceptual Anchoring method to intervene in future history.]

As Little Garden's Central Core, it possessed many tools—especially various methods to influence history, create Historical Turning Points, and shape events.

After all, earning merit from Historical Turning Points was extremely fast. To better trigger them, Little Garden's gods and buddhas had deeply researched these mechanisms.

Historical Turning Points essentially fell into two types. The first affected only a single worldview. Its impact on Human History merely added one more branch.

For example, if Aslan saved the world, at best he'd earn Four-Digit-level merit.

The second type genuinely influenced the entirety of Human History—every world and multiverse observed by Little Garden.

Merit generated from such Historical Turning Points could support an entire Pantheon, but the difficulty was extremely high.

Most of Little Garden's Central Core's methods triggered the first kind—Historical Turning Points within a single worldview.

Conceptual Anchoring involved embedding a concept beneath a specific worldview—such as belief in a certain god or community.

Then, as history progressed, the concept would naturally spread its influence, eventually giving birth to a Four-Digit-level Gift or Spirit Status—or Four-Digit-level merit.

However, Conceptual Anchoring wasn't easy to use. Usually, only nobles employed it to train their descendants.

Anchoring a concept across all worldlines in an entire worldview remained extremely difficult.

Only Three-Digit-level beings or Four-Digit Poets could accomplish it.

But who said this world didn't have a Root connected to all worldlines?

Although one couldn't anchor worldlines through the Root, anchoring concepts was possible.

By anchoring the Umbrella Corporation's Conceptual Anchor through Angra Mainyu, as long as Earth's Counter Force wished to nurture an Earth UO, the Umbrella Corporation's Conceptual Anchor would naturally manifest in those worldlines.

As for energy consumption, Aslan could use Dog Sun Authority to create Gifts for Star Spirits.

Earth's Counter Force, in a sense, was also a type of Star Spirit. Such Gifts could allow Star Spirits to absorb more sunlight.

This could also be seen as a way to help Earth replenish its energy.

For Earth, this might accelerate recovery of vitality—though there might be minor side effects.
