Cindor looked around at the others, his sharp eyes moving from one familiar face to the next.
"Are you all ready?" he asked.
Silvar answered first. He gave a short nod. "No hesitation."
Bastor shifted his massive body slightly, the ground responding with a low tremble.
Varyn's coils tightened once, then relaxed.
"…We are ready," Varyn said quietly.
Eldrin closed his eyes for a brief moment.
When he opened them again, there was no doubt left in his gaze.
"Yes," he said. "Let's do it."
Garion stood a short distance away, arms crossed, watching closely.
"Once you start," he said, "there's no turning back."
Cindor laughed softly. "We know."
He spread his wings wide, flames slowly gathering along the edges.
"Then let's end this era properly," Cindor said.
