The ray of the sun seeped through the curtains and fell on Fallon's eyes. His red hair shined as his eyes fluttered open. He sat up on the bed. The pain seemed to disappear from his chest.
He looked around. The other kids who had fallen for this curse looked healthier than before. He looked towards Levi. The four year old seemed to sleep well. The colour that had drained from his face and which Fallon worked to stabilise came back to his features.
Fallon smiled a bit then he glanced around, looking for Aaron hoping he wasn't at least affected. But he doesn't see him here. He was about to get up from bed when he heard talking.
"I told I would fuck you up if a marriage rumour spreads again."
The door opens.
"No you said that you would fuck- Fallon?"
Soren's eyes landed on the red haired boy sitting on the bed.
Cyrus also looked where Soren was looking, "oh. You are awake."
"Hey… big bro…" Fallon said looking at them as they walked towards Fallon, "I guess Aaron really did it. He managed to stabilise us."
Soren sat down beside Fallon, "yeah sure he did." He rolled his eyes playfully, "but you should thank Marry instead."
Fallon raised an eyebrow, "Why Marry?"
"Because," Cyrus said, "It was because of her blood we got the cure."
"Her blood?" Fallon tipped his head to the side.
"Yes," Soren said, "Master Elric gave us a map and following that we travelled to a village and there we got to a wizard who brewed the cure."
"Wait," Fallon's eyes widened in realization, "you two travelled to a village to get the cure?"
Soren and Cyrus nodded.
"Then Marry is…?"
"Someone called me?" Three heads turned to the direction of the voice. Marryanne walked in with a tray of food in hand.
"Marry, you are…" Fallon said, wide eyed.
Marryanne tilted her head to the side, "I'm what?"
"Alive?"
Soren and Cyrus looked at each other then at Marryanne. The three of them just stared at one another then bursted out laughing.
"You thought Marry died?" Soren chuckled.
"What gave you that idea?" Marryanne said in-between her giggles.
"Well, big brother Cyrus said that this cure needed your blood. So I assumed."
"It only took a tiny bit of blood to make the cure. So tiny that it healed quickly." Marryanne finally stopped laughing, "Anyway, I brought food for you." Marryanne put the tray in front of Fallon.
"Who told you that I woke up?" Fallon looked at the tray of food and picked up a sandwich.
"Ray and Jay as always were spying on the infirmary," Marryanne climbed on the bed and sat down, "so, when they saw you stirring. They came to me."
"I see…" Fallon said.
"Why were they even spying on the infirmary anyway?" Soren wondered.
"It's not too surprising to think about." Cyrus sighed.
Fallon sighed, "what happened on the journey?"
Marryanne smirked as she heard Fallon say that. A look that made Soren and Cyrus shivered. Because she is about to exaggerate some parts.
"We are gonna head out now." Soren says as he took Cyrus by his hand.
Cyrus blushed but kept his nerves in check. Because it isn't the first time they had held hands. But his heart and body betrayed him as Soren pulled him towards the door and Cyrus followed Soren out because none of them wanted to hear Marryanne exaggerate the story of the journey. Especially the parts about Soren and Cyrus.

Soren was done reading a book he had picked up from the library. He put it on the side table beside his bed. He looked over at Cyrus.
"Won't you go to sleep, Sunshine?"
Cyrus stretched on bed, "I will do what I want so shut up and you go to sleep."
Soren chuckled, "alright then." He then said, "By the way, Maelis woke up."
"…" Cyrus didn't say anything then in a slight serious voice, "and the others."
"They will wake up soon…" Soren mumbled as his voice faded away and he fell asleep.
Cyrus rolled his eyes although he is slightly happy that the other kids are waking up.
He also lied down amd fell asleep.
