Cyrus looked over at the yard. He was looking over the kids. His lips felt swollen. Because of a certain horny bastard. He had been managing the financial side of the orphanage. And from what he had learned. This place wouldn't survive. But someone had been paying for everything. Someone who Cyrus couldn't figure out.
Who could be secretly funding this place?
But even so, the thing they need more is money. Whoever is funding this place might stop someday.
"Big brother, Cyrus?" Fallon called. He and Levi had been sitting down closer to Cyrus.
Cyrus looked at him, "what is it?"
"Are you and big brother Soren still going job hunting for the orphanage?" Fallon questioned.
"Looking at the financial side of this place," Cyrus sighed, "if we don't then this place is as well as dead."
Levi was playing in Fallon's arms but after hearing this. The little boy looked at Cyrus with those big eyes, "where are chu gwoing?"
Cyrus deadpanned looked at the boy, "somewhere far away."
Fallon scoffed, "brother please don't make him cry, it was gard enough to calm him."
"Fwar away…" Levi's eyes teared up, "n- no I won't lwet you go"
Fallon tried to calm him down, " no, no. Sh shh, brother Cyrus is not going anywhere." Fallon glared at the older boy.
"You can't control that, small fry." Cyrus chuckled a little.
Levi's voice came in small gasps as he begans bawling his eyes out.
Fallon sighed, annoyed a little, "brother Cyrus," he said thursting the little four years old onyo Cyrus's arms, "you caused this, you deal with it." with that he scurried away.
Cyrus smirked looking down at the teary eyed boy and leaned his hack on the tree behind him, "aye aye… that's enough." Cyrus softly spoke, "yes we will be going but its for everyone's own good. We would come to visit."
"Weally…?" Levi sniffled.
"Yeah now, stop crying." Cyrus wiped off the boy's tears, "you look mire ugly when you cry." He held the boy to his chest. Then put him down beside him.
Levi curled up towards Cyrus.
"Wht don't you go play with Maelis?" Cyrus glanced at Levi.
"You are more fun to be around." Levi grinned.
Cyrus cracked a small smile, "and how did I get to be the more fun one."
"Well," Levi looked over at the yard, "big bro Soren is the fun one. You are the second fun one." The child said in a cheerful voice.
The smile on Cyrus's face disappeared, "..." he just stared at the cheerful child.
Come on, even now he is second to Soren even in fun too!
As he was about to say something. He shivered as he felt someone blowing in his ear, "Soren, you–"
Soren grinned and sat down beside Cyrus, "hi Sunshine and tiny Levi."
The child on Cyrus's side mattered and went to Soren immediately.
Cyrus scoffed at that. "What do you want Soren?" He didn't have to look at him. In his mind Soren is still stuck. What a nuisance!
Soren played with the child's hair, "can't I visit one of my children?"
Cyrus's head snapped at Soren and he glared at him. "Who are you calling your child?"
"All of them," Soren chuckled.
"You are eighteen." Cyrus rolled his eyes.
"And who says you can't be a father of twenty-eight at eighteen." Soren joked.
"You can't call me your child. That's weird." Cyrus looked away, a blush appearing on his face, "after we—" he stopped himself. Soren glanced at Cyrus. He smirked, noticing his reddened ear tips.
"That's why I said twenty-eight and not twenty-nine." Soren reassured him.
Cyrus looked at him again, his face still red. "But you said 'one of my children'"
Soren grinned, "I said that?" He teased, "I don't remember saying that, Sunshine. Maybe you should have your ears checked."
"You-" Cyrus gritted his teeth.
Soren looked back at the small child in his hands and said, "did you hear me calling your brother, Cyrus my child?"
Levi shook his head, "I did not hear."
Cyrus wanted to sweat but there was a child here. He could only bite the insides of his cheeks and stay silent.
Soren noticed this and he was about to say something sparky again when he shivered as if his entire body had run cold.
"Marryanne!!!"
Marryanne grinned as she giggled, "you still get so jumpy."
"You brat– ahh" Soren shivered again, "Sunshine! You too???"
Cyrus rolled his eyes again, "it's payback, Crowface."
Soren sighs then grins again, "Sunshine…" He looks at Cyrus.
Cyrus flinched, "why are you looking at me like that?"
Soren didn't answer. He said to the child in his arms, "go play with Sister Mary a bit. I have some… private matters with Cyrus…"
Cyrus flinched at Soren's tone.
The children didn't seem to notice anything, Levi happily went away with Marryanne inside the orphanage.
After both of them were gone Soren turned to Cyrus. Black irises looked like black ink in which two deep blue pupils were floating.
"Sunshine…" Soren crawled over to Cyrus.
"Yes…?" Cyrus breathed out.
Soren smiled, "notice anything different about me…?" He smirked.
Cyrus looked at Soren. Really looked at him and his eyes widened. "Your ears…" Cyrus instinctively reached out and grabbed Soren's ear, gently caressing it, "it looks long and pointy…"
Soren blushed and froze for a second then smiled and nodded, "yes…. I saw it like this when I woke up…. I don't know what I am turning into."
"Soren…" Cyrus placed a kiss on his lips. It was to shut him up and pull him out of his depressive talk. Cyrus is glad that the sun is almost down so the kids aren't in the courtyard.
He broke the kiss but his lips still hovered over Soren's, "no matter what you become… it will never change that you are still Soren…"
Soren was silent for a while then he chuckled a little, "you have become so cheesy."
"Fuck off!" Cyrus scoffed.
"There is the Cyrus I know." Soren grinned then went more on to Cyrus, "After that night… I think I want to do it again… do you want to?"
Cyrus gasped. His back still hurted from that night. Soren was too… he blushed. He wasn't in the mood… but Soren looked too alluring, "Soren… not now please. My back still hurts."
Soren smiled then chucked, "baby, you don't have to say please… no means no… if you don't want it then im no one to force it on you." He kissed Cyrus's forehead and pulled away.
Soren stood up, "Cy, let's go inside." He said as he stretched his arms.
Cyrus nodded, "okay."
Aaron came running out, "big bro Cyrus. Big bro, Soren. We have a visitor."
Soren looked alarmed, "visitors?"
Cyrus's eyes also widened. The only visitors they would get is the carriage that brings back supplies.
"Well," Aaron corrected himself, "not really visitors but they claim to be a travelling elf and a dragonkin."
