A few days passed, and the rumor still hadn't loosened its grip on the internet.
If anything, it had grown teeth.
I knew exactly why.
Jewel.
She just wouldn't let it die.
Every day, she posted in dummy accounts something new—short clips taken wildly out of context, old photos conveniently cropped, vague stories with captions like "Some people really show their true colors eventually" or "Shamelessness know no bounds."
She never named me. She didn't have to.
The comments did that job for her.
It was honestly impressive in the worst way. She was fanning the flames without ever touching the fire herself, and people were happily pouring gasoline on her behalf.
Frankly, it was getting out of hand.
And I knew STAR Entertainment wasn't going to step in anytime soon. Not when AUREA was being painted as the poor, mistreated childhood friends who had silently endured Emerald Light's supposed arrogance and cruelty for years.
