Chapter 44 - Reality Stone

Odin's eyes flashed with surprise. The other person looked young, yet their strength was extraordinary. No wonder they dared to come to Asgard just like that.

Looking into the other person's clear eyes, Odin had never seen such a desireless gaze. It was calm, but not cold. There seemed to be a gentle look in their eyes. Even facing him, Han Yu showed no nervousness or discomfort, but instead, displayed a very good temperament.

"Truly, heroes emerge from the youth. Excellent, excellent!"

Odin laughed, gently patting Han Yu's shoulder. Powerful yet not arrogant. If Thor possessed this kind of spirit, he would have been the God-King of Asgard long ago.

"Old Mr. Odin is also very impressive. Unifying the Nine Realms is not something just anyone can do."

Han Yu smiled. Everyone likes to hear kind words. What he said wasn't overly formal, but rather very ordinary and natural, as if the person in front of him was just an ordinary old man.

Odin's impression of Han Yu improved even more, and he kept patting his shoulder.

At this moment, Thor seemed to understand how Loki felt. Was this how Loki felt when he saw him and his father being close? Seeing Odin and an Earthling displaying this kind of attitude, Thor felt quite uncomfortable.

"Thor, I believe I said that no Earthlings were allowed in Asgard, didn't I?"

Odin narrowed his eyes at Thor, and he was referring not only to Han Yu but also to Jane.

Although he didn't dislike Han Yu, Asgard wasn't a place where just anyone could come and go as they pleased.

Thor quickly explained, "Father, Jane's body has a problem. I brought her to Asgard to seek a cure."

Odin said, "Hmph, Earth has a profession called 'doctor'. If there's a problem with the body, why not go to them? Why bring her to Asgard?"

Just when Thor was in a difficult situation, Han Yu stepped forward and said, "Mr. Odin, Miss Jane's condition is not a common ailment. She contains the Aether!"

Compared to the Reality Stone, the name Aether was more familiar to Odin. Hearing this, a clear change appeared on his face. He took three steps in one stride, coming to Jane's side.

"I apologize for the intrusion."

Saying this, Odin took Jane's hand. The divine power within him surged through his palm and into Jane's arm. Everyone then saw a dark red energy writhing inside her arm.

"No mistake, this is indeed the Aether. How did you come into contact with it?"

After the examination, Odin immediately released Jane's hand and asked.

"It's like this. My friend found a place with spatial data anomalies. I went with her to check it out and found that the gravity was off. Also, things thrown out in certain places would reappear somewhere else."

"I was walking around and somehow entered a dark place. There was a very thick, square stone pillar there, clamped at the top and bottom. Those dark red particles were inside this pillar. I tentatively touched it, and I didn't expect them to enter my body."

Han Yu nodded repeatedly. These things were all in his memory. It seemed that there weren't many changes in the plot in this regard. He couldn't help but say, "Why is this kind of thing placed on Earth? Is Earth a vault or something? Why is everything put on Earth?"

Ultron had also asked Han Yu this question, and Han Yu also really wanted to know. So he asked Odin this question again.

Odin sighed softly and said, "When we obtained the Aether in Asgard, Earth was just a barren planet. We couldn't have foreseen that this kind of thing would happen later."

Han Yu nodded slightly. He found the explanation acceptable. Although Earth had existed for about 4.6 billion years, humans had only dominated it for a few thousand years. Back then, Earth was indeed a wilderness.

Asgard's acquisition of the Aether happened at least ten thousand years ago. Who would bother to consider what an item would be like ten thousand years later? That would be utterly pointless.

"Alright, follow me. This isn't the place to talk."

Since he knew the other party hadn't come without reason, Odin didn't bother with further recriminations. He led Han Yu and the others forward, entering Asgard's main city.

Looking at the magnificent, golden buildings, Han Yu couldn't help but show a hint of surprise. Previously, his impression of Asgard was limited to movie scenes.

And the movie scenes hadn't properly showcased this holy city. Now, seeing it in person, even with Han Yu's composure, he couldn't help but occasionally glance at the buildings on either side.

Jane was the same. She and Han Yu were like a pair of curious children, looking here and there. Two people who had never met before surprisingly found common ground because they were visiting Asgard for the first time.

Facing this oriental man, who wasn't particularly handsome but became more and more attractive the more you looked at him, Jane inexplicably felt a strange sensation. This feeling wasn't exactly love, but it caused a mysterious flutter in her heart, making her want to keep her eyes on him.

"Jane, come and look at this. The whole building is floating above the ground!"

Han Yu's voice snapped Jane out of her daze, and she quickly jogged over to him.

This scene didn't sit well with Thor. Why was his girlfriend getting so close to another guy?

Although they hadn't confirmed their relationship, they had kissed, which showed they were fond of each other. Getting together was definitely a possibility.

"This Earthling is not only powerful but also a good person. You need to put in some effort."

Odin could see what his son was thinking. He patted Thor on the shoulder and left after saying that.

The group entered the main hall of Asgard and found a quiet place to talk. Jane couldn't help but ask Odin, "Your Majesty Odin, is there any way to remove the Aether from my body?"

The surprise on Odin and Heimdall's faces when they learned she had the Reality Stone had startled Jane. Was what was inside her really that terrifying?

She didn't know exactly how powerful these two were, but one controlled the Bifrost, which could travel to Asgard, and the other was the Allfather, Odin, a legendary figure who unified the Nine Realms. If they were both so surprised, then whatever was inside her definitely wouldn't be easy to deal with.

Jane hadn't been worried before, but after seeing their reactions, she was actually a little scared.

Odin pondered for a moment, then slowly shook his head.

"In all my knowledge, there is no known way to remove the Aether from a host."

Boom.

Jane felt a little dizzy. If even Odin didn't know, what was she supposed to do?

This strange, unclear power inside her... she didn't dare to think about what might happen in the future. Would she suddenly turn into a monster one day?

"Don't be afraid. I'm here. I'll definitely find a way to solve this!"

Thor spoke with conviction, but despite his confident facade, he wasn't sure either. If even his father said there was no solution, how could he be certain?

As he spoke, he reached out to touch Jane, but Odin suddenly roared, "Don't touch her!"
