Chapter 173 - The Throne

The areas touched by the intense heat were instantly vaporized, a testament to its extreme temperature.

"Scram!"

Seeing the chaos unfold, Poseidon took the opportunity to flee, not looking back.

The moment he ran, Han Yu's Storm Axe came hurtling towards him from behind.

Poseidon quickly activated the purple potato-head's previous teleportation device, opening a portal and diving through. Just as the portal closed, the Storm Axe arrived, slicing off a large chunk of Poseidon's right shoulder and arm, which fell to the ground.

Poseidon's anguished scream echoed before the portal vanished.

"Galacta, take care of this!" Han Yu said.

Galacta nodded and opened her rosy lips. Before the extreme temperatures of ice and fire could spread further, she absorbed all the energy, not letting a single trace escape.

Having absorbed all that energy, she even burped.

At the same time, the ships surrounding Asgard also exploded one after another. A dark green flash kept jumping across them, lasting for less than three seconds.

Each time the dark green flash left, it would cause a warship to explode. In just three minutes, all the surrounding ships had blown up, looking like fireworks.

The alien warriors still fighting inside Asgard were stunned by this sight. They had lost, completely lost.

Even Poseidon had fled; there was no chance of a comeback.

Everyone dropped their weapons and knelt on the ground. The surrounding Asgard warriors immediately swarmed in and seized them.

"Why did you let him go? That guy will come back to take revenge eventually." Hela noticed that Poseidon hadn't been captured, only leaving behind an arm. She glanced at the bloody limb without any discomfort, instead, she looked at Han Yu with some blame.

Han Yu shrugged and said, "Who would have thought he'd use the Frost Giants and Fire Giants as shields? I didn't expect him to be so ruthless."

He immediately turned to Galacta, patted her head, and said with a smile, "How was it? Enjoy the meal?"

"It was good, really good," Galacta said, patting her flat stomach with satisfaction.

"I told you, being with me means there's always something delicious. Otherwise, all that trouble you went to catching dragons before..." Han Yu chuckled.

"Mm-hm, so should you settle my wages for this time?" Galacta's eyes curved into crescents, and she said playfully.

"You're such a super foodie."

Han Yu shook his head helplessly. His gaze suddenly stopped at a spot not far ahead. There, lay the long handle of Poseidon's Trident.

With a casual wave of his hand, the handle flew into his grasp. He weighed it, muttering, "Interesting. The weight of this handle alone is something ordinary people can't lift. It should be over a hundred thousand pounds."

With that weight, a single strike could kill someone. Even a being like Thor wouldn't dare to take such a blow head-on. Only a tough foodie like Galacta would dare to break it apart and eat it like a cracker.

"What, what, are you going to refine this for me too?"

Galacta's eyes lit up. She hadn't had her fill of eating the Trident's head and, seeing Han Yu holding the rest, she wanted to take a bite.

Han Yu put a finger on Galacta's forehead and moved the Trident's handle away, saying, "Don't even think about it. I plan to keep it to forge something else."

It would be too wasteful to let Galacta eat such a good rod. He planned to re-refine it into a new weapon.

Its name would be…

Ruyi Golden Cudgel!

After putting the handle into his inventory, Han Yu suddenly fell silent. He looked up at Hela, silent.

Hela also knew what he meant. A playful look appeared on her pretty face, and she said, "What, are you going to send me back to Hell now? I won't agree, you know."

Han Yu shook his head and walked over to Thor, saying, "This matter should be resolved by you. It's your family business."

Thor had already heard about Hela's identity from Loki. He was very surprised to learn he had a sister. On the one hand, he had a sister, and on the other, she was willing to help Asgard.

If it were him, Thor's way of returning to Asgard would have been to fight his way back. He just didn't know that if Han Yu hadn't appeared, Hela's way of returning would indeed have been to fight her way back, and she would have poked out one of his eyes.

Thor's previous experiences were truly miserable. But now, it seemed alright. With Han Yu's intervention, the God of Thunder hadn't lost anything.

Han Yu handed a Senzu Bean to Thor, who thanked him and took it. After eating the Senzu Bean, his injuries visibly recovered.

This move stunned Hela and Galacta. What was this thing? The recovery effect was absurdly strong. They had seen healing medicine with good recovery effects, but they had never seen anything like this.

According to their guess, Thor's injuries would have taken at least half a month to recover. Now, it was done in less than ten seconds. If this effect were sold in the interstellar universe, it would definitely cause a bloodbath.

Seeing Thor's injuries improve, Hela's eyes narrowed. She was ready for a fight and would immediately strike if anything went wrong.

Thor stared at Hela, sizing her up. He sighed softly and said, "The throne of Asgard, you can have it. I don't want it, or rather, I'm not qualified to take it right now."

His words startled Loki, who stood beside him. Was that really Thor speaking?

Had he been possessed? Thor used to yearn for the throne. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been constantly fighting outside of Asgard, just to earn battle merits and show Odin, hoping to inherit the throne.

Loki used to be unconvinced and wanted to be king himself, but now, seeing Thor's sacrifices for Asgard, Loki would have been the first to raise both hands in support if Thor had said he wanted the throne.

So, when Thor said those words, Loki was the most surprised of the group.

Hela frowned and said, "Why? Your brother told me you were quite attached to the throne."

Thor glanced at Loki, whose face was a little awkward. It seemed his brother hadn't held back in speaking ill of him to Hela. He turned back to Hela and said, "That's true, but that was in the past. As for now, I'm not yet ready to be the king of Asgard."

The self-deprecating look on his face made Loki feel like someone had hacked his account. He instinctively reached out and pinched Thor's face, to make sure it wasn't an illusion.
