Tearing people apart was something Han Yu could do with ease. But he was different. He had the Immortality Seal from the General Store System. In terms of strength, he had long surpassed humans, so it was only natural for him to do such a thing.
Banner was different. In his normal state, his physical functions were no different from those of ordinary people. A normal high school student might even be able to beat him.
Hulk was Hulk, and Banner was Banner. The two's consciousness and physical abilities were not shared. That's why Han Yu was surprised that Banner had torn apart four living people with his bare hands.
This was not something an ordinary person could do.
Han Yu walked towards Banner. After taking a few steps, he turned his head and found that Hank was standing still. He asked, "Aren't you coming with us?"
Hank shook his head and said, "You guys talk. I'll just stand nearby. Just call me if you need anything."
With that, Hank took a few steps back, looking like he'd been quite frightened.
Han Yu didn't blame him. This was considered a normal reaction. Even Han Yu hadn't seen anyone tear apart living people with their bare hands. If he had seen it, he would probably have felt very disgusted.
"Hey, look, someone's actually walking towards that lunatic."
"No way. That's bold. Looks like a newbie."
"Tsk tsk tsk, this little cutie looks good. If he makes it out alive, I'm claiming him!"
"I've got my eye on him too. I won't give him up easily."
"Get lost, you brute! You don't even like girls, why are you always fighting me over men?"
"I just like this type, what of it?"
Ignoring the whispers around him, Han Yu's expression didn't change as he walked directly toward Banner's Booth.
Inside Banner's booth, there were bottles everywhere. Picking up a random bottle, it was over ninety proof liquor. There were also some white pills on the table.
Han Yu knew that wasn't a good thing, definitely some kind of banned substance.
"Banner?" Han Yu stepped forward and shook him, trying to call out.
At this moment, Banner was lying on the table, reeking of alcohol.
Han Yu's actions stimulated Banner, and the latter woke up instantly. His somewhat withered hand immediately went for Han Yu's neck with astonishing speed.
With his eyes slightly narrowed, Han Yu didn't show surprise in the face of this fierce attack. His reaction was also extremely fast; he also reached out and firmly grabbed Banner's wrist, rendering him unable to move.
The sudden clash between the two caused an uproar among the crowd, especially when they saw Han Yu's skills. The rich women in the crowd brightened up at that moment, and in an instant, they had already figured out how to talk to Han Yu.
This skill, this appearance, they'd take him. They absolutely had to take him.
"Banner, it's me, Han Yu."
A low growl, laced with the faint energy of a green lantern, escaped Han Yu's lips. The sound reached Banner, jolting him slightly. Banner lifted his head, and the previously clouded eyes cleared a bit. "Han? What are you doing here?"
"We'll talk about that later. I came for you. What... happened to you?"
Han Yu released Banner's hand and gestured to the surrounding bottles and the pills on the table, a frown creasing his brow as he sat down opposite him.
"It's the Hulk. The Hulk is going wild. He's constantly trying to seize control of my body. I can feel his madness. He's only numbing himself with alcohol, even taking these pills. Then, the Hulk can only break down the things I've ingested, so he can't get out for a while."
Banner rubbed his hair, his voice laced with terror. Han Yu felt a complex mix of emotions.
Normally, Banner was a very gentle person. Because of the Hulk, he had never been seen raising his voice at anyone, always the image of a gentle scholar.
To see him in such a state now… it was hard to imagine what he was going through.
"Here it comes again! He's coming again! The Hulk is trying to take over my body again!"
Banner suddenly became flustered, reaching out to grab the medicine and alcohol on the table. Han Yu was seeing someone use alcohol to wash down pills for the first time; it was too wild.
But Han Yu didn't let him get the medicine. He was one step ahead of Banner, snatching his medicine and alcohol, and then coldly watched him.
"What are you doing? Give me the medicine, give it to me!" Banner lunged at him like a madman, but Han Yu dodged him. To prevent Banner from getting up again, when he tried to pounce again, Han Yu kicked him in the chest, sending him back onto the booth's sofa, while Han Yu stood to the side, watching him coldly.
This scene stunned everyone, even the DJ stopped what he was doing, and the noise in the bar quieted down considerably.
Some people who didn't know what was going on gathered around, discussing it with interest, while those who had seen Banner kill someone stayed far away, not daring to breathe, for fear of being caught up in it.
Less than ten seconds after Han Yu had taken Banner's medicine, his body began to undergo obvious changes.
Many very obviously green veins began to bulge out on his arms, and a low roar came from Banner's mouth, sounding a bit frightening.
Soon, his skin also began to turn green, and the muscles on his body began to visibly increase.
Han Yu was about to send everyone in the bar away. If Banner appeared here in his Hulk form, he would definitely hurt a lot of people. He was just about to turn around and speak when he saw that Banner's transformation in front of him had stopped.
His body had changed, probably from the original 120 pounds to over 200 pounds. The clothes that couldn't be filled out before were now bulging with muscles, becoming extraordinarily burly.
Han Yu was about to call out to Banner, but then he saw a strange expression appear on the latter's face, an expression he hadn't seen in a long time.
His eyes suddenly widened, filled with bloodshot veins. The corners of his mouth turned up greatly, revealing a very bizarre smile.
Everyone around was frightened by this crazy smile, while Han Yu's expression was serious. This was the second time he had seen this smile.
The first time was on the Hydra leader, Alexander Pierce. The second time was on Banner's face. Han Yu never thought he would have the chance to see this smile again.
"This is, The Batman Who Laughs Virus?!"
Han Yu said incredulously. How could Banner have contracted The Batman Who Laughs Virus? Or rather, how could The Batman Who Laughs Virus still exist in this world?
The color on Banner's body wasn't just plain green anymore; there was a hint of red in his skin, though it was unclear if it was the color of his blood or an effect of The Batman Who Laughs Virus.
As this form took shape, Banner grinned at Han Yu, a terrifying smile. With a roar, he clenched his fists and lunged forward.
His speed was like a hungry wolf that had long since set its sights on its prey, fierce and ravenous.
