Soraya's POV
The silence inside the court was heavy—thick enough to choke on. Every pair of eyes watched Ethan as he stepped forward, his shoulders squared, his jaw tight with resolve. I knew what he was about to do. Somewhere in me, I'd already prepared for it—the confession, the defense, the truth he owed me and the whole Silverfang.
When he began to speak, his voice was steady.
"I was the one who brought Soraya to Silverfang," he said, his tone echoing through the hall. "I received a message from my father to bring home a mate—human or not. Soraya was the girl I admired. She was scentless, so I didn't know she was a wolf. I made her my personal assistant and lied to her that she'd be accompanying me to dinner with my father. The mistake was not telling her the truth. She followed me with trust… and I was the one with the secret plan."
