Just then, Dai Mubai came back. He looked a bit dazed. His face was still a little red, and he looked like he was still a bit scared. His eyes were full of many different feelings. When he saw Ye Yin, he opened his mouth to speak but couldn't find the right words.
"Did you see His Majesty?" Ye Yin asked calmly as he poured a cup of water for him.
Dai Mubai took the glass and nodded. His voice sounded very dry as he said, "I saw him. I told my father everything."
"It's good that you told him," Ye Yin said, patting him on the shoulder with a kind look. "Just follow your heart. You don't need to worry about what the world thinks. His Majesty will understand."
Dai Mubai looked at Ye Yin's gentle smile. It looked like Ye Yin was only doing this for his sake. His heart felt very full of different emotions. He was grateful for all the help Yin-ge gave him, but he also felt like something was a bit strange. He just couldn't figure out what it was.
He let out a big sigh and said, "Thank you, Yin-ge. It's just that my Big Brother is suffering so much right now."
Ye Yin laughed on the inside, but his face looked very serious and caring. He said, "You're right. Davis is in a very hard spot right now. She needs more care and better living arrangements. Very soon, using the power of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School, Ye Yin bought a beautiful house with three courtyards. It was in a quiet part of the capital but still had everything they needed. He picked out a group of servants and guards he could trust. Davis was taken from the old palace building in secret and moved to this new home called Jingxin Courtyard.
At first, Davis fought back hard. She cried and screamed and cursed at everyone. But she had no power to stop them. When she realized this new house was much nicer and more comfortable than the old one, she started to calm down. The servants watched her, but they were polite. Since Dai Mubai could visit her more easily now, her anger turned into a quiet acceptance. She was even a little relieved, though she didn't want to admit it. At least here, she didn't have to see the mean looks from the rest of the imperial family.
Dai Mubai was very happy with the plan and visited Jingxin Courtyard more and more often. Ye Yin just sat back and watched the drama happen. He enjoyed watching them while he collected the resentment value that kept coming from Dai Mubai and Davis.
