"...!" I dash toward the electric wolf as it leaps at me, but I dodge to the side and slash its body before jumping back to create distance.
"Grrgghh..." The wolf stops its attack and glares at me, growling as its fur stands on end. It seems to have realized that just attacking won't work.
'It's smart... the electrical charge is changing.' The electricity it used before seemed focused on debilitating the target and hindering movement, but since it didn't work on me, it's switching tactics.
The air takes on a strange smell, and the grass around us starts to burn. My hair stands on end, which is a bad sign.
'My body is conducting electricity...' That means it's going to deal actual electrical damage now if I'm not careful. I shift into a more serious stance and start to move. It also begins to walk, and we slowly circle each other, waiting for the other to make a move.
