Sid sat there, stunned for a moment, then rubbed his forehead.
"Warlock. Man witch? So she knows, huh… she's aware she's being commanded and controlled. That's actually good news for me. At least she's conscious of it."
He muttered to himself as he checked the small patch of space Evelise had left him.
"Tch, this bunny acts like she still has a husband, sleeping on my lap like I'd do something to her. She's a widow now! Dammit…"
As he cursed under his breath, a high pitched scream tore through the cabin. Sid's eyes went wide.
"Did she hear me?"
That next scream ripped the air, sharper and louder than the last.
"Get out of my head! Stop going into my head! AHHH!"
"Evelise?! HEY WHAT IS GOING ON!"
He bolted to his feet, stepped straight over her precious charcoal line without hesitation, and rushed to the doorway. He pulled it aside.
