When Rowan opened his eyes, he saw his transparent body with no legs. Feeling weird at first, he realized it was merely his consciousness.
" But what is this place?"
Raising his head, Rowan looked at his surroundings. The grasses were almost tall enough to reach his waist. However, the trees were truly the epitome of sky-reaching.
The crowns of the trees already pierced through the clouds, making Rowan unable to see them.
' The Crystal of Descent protects the user. I don't think anything can harm me here. Why not explore here a bit?' Rowan thought as he tried to move his body. His body moved strangely, as if he was gliding on wind.
Yet most of the trees were filled with various exotic fruits and flowers. Rowan was stunned by the mix of fragrances.
But following one particular scent that didn't felt natural, Rowan reached a clearing.

Rowan was stunned to see monkeys with size of giants gathering fruits and flowers. Then a few of the monkeys dumped the crushed fruits and flowers into a giant hole with stone pavements on the edge.
One monkey was sitting in a tall position, as if overseeing the entire operation. He was also measuring which fruits or flowers should be added in what amount.
" Strange monkeys, aren't they?"
" Yeah, they are acting like almost humans." Rowan answered with a nod, his eyes fixed on the monkey business.
" But then, humans are monkeys too."
" That's also true…"
Suddenly, an unknown chill appeared in Rowan's heart, making him shut. Like a cat stepping on its tail, he jumped back, turning around to see who was talking to him.
Behind him stood a monkey with snow white fur covering his entire body. His eyes were deep, but filled with a strange serenity. Wearing a jewel-encrusted crown that covered his entire head. A blazing halo swirled behind his head.
But despite his amicable appearance, his figure was almost twice as big as Rowan's. And that's when he was squatting behind Rowan, not standing.
" Uhhm…"
Rowan totally froze, unable to say anything else. He tried to move his body, but it was like his body got frozen by some unknown fear.
" Well, since you are already here, let me tour you around the Society of Handsome and Intelligent Monkeys." The monkey stood up towering. But then, his body glowed as he transformed to match Rowan's height.
" Society of Handsome and Intelligent Monkeys?" Rowan was stunned when he heard the name.
" So, who are you?" Rowan looked at the white monkey.
" Me? Hmm… my name is…"
Rowan felt like he couldn't hear what the monkey said. But suddenly, the Akashic Records screen appeared before him.
