VOSS FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES GLOBAL PRESS CONFERENCE ON REVOLUTIONARY SCIENTIFIC BREAKTHROUGH
International Media Invited to San Francisco for Historic Announcement on Medical Innovation
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The Voss Foundation announced that it will host an international press conference on July 15, 2026, at Voss Tower in San Francisco to unveil what Foundation Director Mallory McInnis calls "the most significant medical breakthrough in human history."
The announcement, titled "The Voss Legacy: A Gift to Humanity," will reveal the culmination of decades of research initiated by Elliot Voss, the late industrial and biotechnology pioneer.
"Elliot Voss believed that our greatest challenges required our boldest solutions," said McInnis. "On July 15th, we will share with the world a solution that will fundamentally transform the human condition."
The Foundation has extended invitations to major news organizations worldwide, as well as representatives from the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control, and leading medical institutions globally.
The press conference will be broadcast live globally.
Media credentials will be required for in-person attendance. Space is limited, and organizations are encouraged to apply early.
WHEN: July 15, 2026, 10:00 AM PST
WHERE: Voss Tower, San Francisco, California

Mallory shared the press release draft with the Core Council.
"What do you think?" she asked.
"Heh," Darian said, "that'll get their attention. That's for sure."
"We're going to have a full house," Vanessa said. "Good thing we expanded the auditorium to cover more of the 19th floor."
Ronan chuckled.
"This is really it," he said. "We're going to tell the world about Vitalyx. It feels like equal parts exciting and scary."
"Yeah," Grim said, "I agree with you. We've prepared long enough. It's a miracle we've been able to contain any leaks. I don't want to push our luck much longer. I'll get with Li and send out the final assignments for the Peacekeepers so they can make their travel arrangements."
Mallory looked up. "How do you plan to handle it?"
"Normally we'll have teams of two people in each of the set distribution locations," Grim said. "In larger population centers, we'll have to allocate more. We'll be using modern weapons, and the troops are all well outfitted, thanks to some strings both Nathan Rourke and Samir pulled."
He took a sip of his coffee and exhaled.
"Everyone should be in place at their destinations within five days," he said.
"So July 6th," Mallory said. "They'll be in place when we release the cargo from our protected warehouses on the 10th. That's good."
"It also gives them four days to blend into the local communities before the announcement so they won't arouse suspicion," Grim said.
Elise turned toward him.
"That's brilliant," she said. "And all the shipments are right on schedule. It was smart to give ourselves enough extra time to move everything into place. There were a lot of hiccups, but we got it done."
"I've got one more announcement before I send out this press release," Mallory said. "Valerie used her special Curator interface to bring over 100 members from Allovia. We've got them for twenty days, and they all have abilities similar to the Velvet Reapers."
"Really?" Ronan asked.
"Yes," Mallory continued. "Samir and Nathan are arranging identities for all of them, but it'll be done by tomorrow. Then they'll fan out and continue using their special influence to ensure governments won't interfere with distribution."
"You should have them focus on the uhh… less democratic countries," Grim said.
Mallory nodded. "That's exactly the plan. Apparently their abilities are somehow more primal than the Velvet Reapers here. They can overcome more resistance than most of the Reapers we have. Very helpful."
"We'll have to figure out a way to repay them," Ronan said.
Brick had been silent during the meeting, but perked up.
"Fuck that," he said. "Flint and those people owe us for what they did to Trevor."
They discussed other topics, and at 7:00 AM, Mallory closed the meeting.
She handed the press release to her assistant.
"Be sure this gets out. You know the drill," she said.
"Yes, ma'am."
And it was done.
Within five minutes, the phones all over Voss Tower were blowing up with requests for information, interviews, and anything at all they could divulge.
But Mallory had ensured the phone banks were well-manned, and the operators were given explicit instructions to refer everyone to the press release and wait for the 15th.
Colin had sent out a message to everyone on Earth inducted into the System to give them a heads-up, so nobody was surprised.
And so it would be that exactly one year to the day after Elliot Voss departed this life, Vitalyx would be announced to the world, and his grand vision for humanity would finally begin to unfold.
I hope you're proud of us, Mr. Voss… Mallory thought as she leaned back in her chair and gazed at the beauty of the San Francisco Bay in the morning light.

Jonathan Keaton read the press release and wondered if he should share it with the President. There was so much going on in the world right now. He didn't need a distraction.
And the President was in his late fifties, not plagued with any medical issues. Still though, Elliot Voss was a national treasure, even if the man had preferred to stay out of the limelight. So whatever served as his legacy must be something truly noteworthy.
Finally, Jonathan decided that he'd rather the President hear about whatever this was from him than anyone else.
So he added the press release to his stack of notes to share in his upcoming meeting at 10:30 AM.
At the appointed time, Jonathan knocked on the door and entered the Oval Office.
President Trent leaned back on the sofa with a cup of coffee in his hand.
"Mr. President," Jonathan said, "we've got a few diplomacy updates, but first I wanted to get this out of the way. The Voss Foundation sent out a press release this morning. Here it is."
He handed the single sheet to the President and took a seat on the other sofa.
After reading, Trent set the sheet down and looked up at his Chief of Staff.
"Do we know what it is?"
"No, sir, we do not," Keaton replied. "I could have someone check on it—"
"It's ok," Trent said, waving him off. "If it were that important, we'd know about it. Be sure we have someone there onsite, though. Just in case."
And they moved on with the updates on North Korea, Russia, and Ukraine. For once, the news was all positive. And they planned to ride the wave as long as they could.
Back at Voss Tower, operators were taking down requests for reservations. They had people schedule around the clock for the first seven days, then they assumed it would slow down to a more manageable pace.
The Core Council had decided that rather than a first come, first served basis, they would aspire toward a balanced approach.
They resolved to ensure balanced representation from key media outlets and medical organizations around the world. Since it would be broadcast globally, being onsite didn't present as much of an advantage as it would otherwise.
But that wouldn't stop people from trying.
And with that, the countdown was on. Fourteen days until the curtain rises on a new day for humanity.
