@ClaudeWilson: Just turned 80 on August 17th. What an incredible gift! I took Rejuvenex on my birthday, and threw out my walker and cane with this morning's trash. God bless you, Elliot Voss.

REJUVENEX: SEIZURE

The words glowed silently on the screen, but adrenaline was coursing through Samir's veins. Two feet away, Gideon Blackwell continued speaking as if he was the king of the world.

Images kept filling Samir's mind about how easy it would be to murder everyone in this room.

It would take him maybe two minutes to work through all 46 men. He wouldn't even need firearms. His daggers rested in their sheaths inside his light jacket, out of sight but ever present.

But at this point, the worldwide System integration was only four months and a few days away. Samir knew that, except in extreme cases, murder was no longer the answer. It was time to let the System work through these issues.

He placed his trust in it for now.

He could always resort to murder later, if they continued to be trouble.

Samir redirected his attention to the speaker.

"The glowing dots on this map represent major population centers around the world where the worst offenders live. Melting pot cities filled with mixed breeds…"

He highlighted New York City, Toronto, London, and several others.

"Or," he said as he pressed a button and the glowing dots changed, "cities in areas with underfunded education systems. Cities that churn out nothing but degenerates and delinquents."

He clicked through more and more, and as he spoke, his words were filled with such venom that Samir's fantasies of murdering the room peaked. At just that moment, Gideon turned to him.

"Samir, The Massara Group is known for being ruthless operators. Extremely capable and lethal when needed."

Samir blanched. Nobody spoke of such things in the open. It was always behind closed doors.

His face turned red. Out of anger. But of course, Gideon misread it.

"Don't be embarrassed now," he said. "Your stellar reputation precedes you. Now, I brought you and your 300 men here not to guard The Isle of Light. With our security measures in place, it's nigh impenetrable, after all."

Samir almost laughed.

Except for the part where you brought the lion right into your den…

"No," Gideon continued, "we want you to split your team into thirty groups of ten men, and hit each one these Rejuvenex distribution warehouses. Destroy the product or take it with you. We don't care. But ensure it never reaches the masses."

Gideon scanned the crowd, and once again the room was utterly silent.

"We have hired another team to simultaneously attack Voss Industries production facilities all over the United States. Once the supply is seized and destroyed and the manufacturing infrastructure broken, they won't be able to rebuild for years."

He looked up from the podium and lifted his arms up into the air.

"So that's our plan. You will be compensated beyond your wildest dreams. Every one of the men here has contributed billions to the endeavor."

Samir looked around. Many of the men looked proud, but at least two dozen looked… scared?

They've been forced into this and couldn't say no…

A plan began forming in Samir's mind.

Gideon was waiting for him to respond, so Samir stood.

He cemented his practiced smile on his face again and slowly reached his right hand forward.

As Gideon grasped it in a handshake, Samir squeezed just a little bit too hard. He saw the grimace on Gideon's face.

"It would be my pleasure to execute your plan," Samir said. "We'll get to work on it right away. Can you send the addresses and details to my phone?"

Gideon lifted the tablet from the podium. It had his speech notes on it. He returned to the home screen and hit a single icon.

"It's already done," he said. "We've got yachts on standby to send your people to their first destinations. Coordinate everything with Rourke Maddox."

"Very generous," Samir said. "I'll meet with my men and let Razor know if we need anything else."

Samir began walking out, careful to keep a steady gait despite the adrenaline threatening to burst out of his body any moment.

As he exited the conference building, he sent a message to his team.

---

Converge by the gates to the cove. Do not discuss verbally. Keep all chat to this channel.

---

Samir mentally entered the details into the chat screen as he walked.

Then he copy and pasted the same details for Li Wei and Grim. They needed to know an attack was coming on production facilities.

Samir made a mental note to find out who Gideon had hired to handle that part of the job.

He arrived at the cove, and found all three hundred of his men there.

He began speaking, but had already briefed everyone through their System interface. This speech was for the purpose of Rourke Maddox, who was absolutely listening through hidden microphones placed everywhere around the island.

Samir had spotted many of them, and he knew there would be more. It's how he would do it, after all, had he been given the task to protect this place.

While he spoke, mocking a briefing to his team, he received a message back from Li.

---

Already found who they hired. Russian Spetsnaz special forces who are bored after the end of the war in Ukraine.

---

Moments later, Grim chimed in.

---

That was quick. Good work, Li.

Samir: Li and I will handle the Russians.

You focus on the fucking Illuminati wannabes.

Kill them all if you must.

I don't think anyone on the Council will care.

---

Samir was still trying to give his speech for the listening microphones, but he suddenly chuckled.

"Sorry," he said aloud, quickly recovering, "was just thinking about how much fun it will be executing this mission."

He sent a message back through to Grim and Li.

---

Don't tempt me.

More than half of them have clearly been coerced into this.

---

Samir bought some time by assigning various tasks to different members of his team. While speaking aloud, he gave the real instructions by group chat.

As the sun reached its zenith over the island, Samir finalized his preparations. The morning's revelations had given him everything he needed to turn Gideon's plan against itself.

It was then that a large yacht appeared on the horizon, cutting through the turquoise waters toward the cove. The wives and children of all 46 of the conspirators were now on the island.

As they all disembarked from the vessel, attendants slowly unloaded dozens upon dozens of suitcases and travel bags.

The children chattered on the docks, their laughter ringing across the cove.

Samir smiled coldly.

What a stark contrast the innocence on display by the families was compared to the insidious plotting taking place just hundreds of feet away.

In the end, he couldn't have laid the trap any better if he had planned it all himself.

He first had three members of his inner spy network dig up details on Gideon's deal with the Spetsnaz. To his surprise, Samir's contacts in Russian intelligence were the ones who came up with the biggest paydirt.

Samir's own team found the short list of production locations to be hit. There were three of them. New Jersey in the US was the main hub. Then Cork, Ireland and Singapore were the other two.

He passed the info on to Grim and Li, and Grim sent a team to Ireland while he and Brick planned to handle New Jersey themselves. Li headed to Singapore along with his own small team.

Meanwhile, the big intel whale that Samir had landed was the instructions Gideon had sent to the Russian team hitting Singapore. Samir had it made into a PDF and sent to his phone. This was a bargaining chip worth his weight in gold, and a key piece of his plan.

With all the pieces in place and Samir's team running around the island looking busy, it was time to put his own seizure plan into motion.

@DadOfTheWeek: Son asked if we'll live forever on #Rejuvenex. I told him, "I don't know about you, son, but it's up to your mother how long I live."
