Chapter 34 - Obito: Kakashi, You Can't Take Rin!

Inside the dimensional shop, a delicate incense burner emitted wisps of white smoke, and the faint fragrance of sandalwood lingered around the counter.

Outside the counter, the Ancient One sat sideways, leaning against the counter's surface. Her right arm rested on the counter, holding a pen and writing on a note pad, while her left hand held a book. The book's cover depicted a castle floating in a sea of clouds, and the title was Scenic Spots and Cuisine of the Dimensional World.

After much thought, the Ancient One finally decided to make a travel plan for her retirement, which was simply put: eating, drinking, and having fun.

And the Ancient One didn't know what was good to eat where, or what scenery was beautiful where, so she bought a book recording many world-famous attractions and delicacies, and began to write her travel plan with great interest.

Mu Yang, inside the counter, found this quite annoying.

Perhaps because she couldn't talk about her retirement life within Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One had accumulated a lot of words. Even though Mu Yang didn't respond much, she was still talking enthusiastically by herself.

Considering the Dark Dimension that the Ancient One had given before, Mu Yang was a very qualified listener.

Not paying attention at all, Mu Yang would occasionally catch a phrase or two and respond, spending the rest of his time focused on the trading volume in the shop.

"The trading volume is decreasing! Is it because their deposits are running out?"

Mu Yang said thoughtfully, watching the gradually declining trading volume.

People's desires are endless, but the resources accumulated over many years are limited. Once the accumulated resources are exhausted, they have to spend time slowly saving up again, which is very time-consuming.

Whether he earned more or less money didn't matter; he mainly wanted the world to become more exciting.

With the countless resources of the Dark Dimension at his disposal, Mu Yang spoke with confidence.

So, how to speed up the process of earning money?

The simplest way is to increase the channels, to add more ways to obtain money, such as items that can be repeatedly exchanged for money. This doesn't need much attention. If there are no accidents, the members are working hard to research this.

"So, the path I should provide should perhaps prioritize freedom, short time commitments, and high earnings."

Huh, sounds like a side hustle or a gig job?

Mu Yang shook his head, clearing the jumbled thoughts from his mind. His expression gradually became serious. Now that he had an idea, he needed to spend some time refining it.

But how to do it concretely? He had absolutely no clue.

"I'll go visit other worlds. Inspiration always seems to strike unexpectedly."

Leaving a clone to watch over the shop, Mu Yang once again traveled to another world.

Amegakure, the hidden village perpetually shrouded in rain.

Due to the climate, the buildings in this ninja village were all tower-shaped, primarily constructed of steel with some stone. The inner and outer walls were covered in steel pipes of varying thicknesses, which served a purpose related to Amegakure's rainfall.

Because of this, Amegakure's industrial base was much stronger than other nations.

However, the overall technological level of the ninja world was generally low. Even with a slightly higher industrial base than other ninja villages, they couldn't manufacture high-value items.

"Since the foundation is good, we have to figure out how to utilize it properly." Black Zetsu stood atop a tower, gazing at the tower city shrouded in rain.

This concerned the unsealing of his mother, so any method to make money needed to be tried.

"Did you remember what I just said?" Black Zetsu's deep, hoarse voice echoed through the rain.

"Eh, do I have to remember it?" White Zetsu asked, surprised.

"Of course, you have to remember it. You have so many clones; it would be a waste not to use them for remembering things." Black Zetsu's tone was matter-of-fact, leaving White Zetsu speechless.

No reason to refuse, so I agreed.

White Zetsu said, "Then I'll be in charge of taking notes from now on. What did you just say? Say it again so I can remember."

Black Zetsu: "..."

I just spoke in your ear, and you didn't remember anything?

Black Zetsu suddenly began to doubt whether his decision had been too casual.

After thinking about it, Black Zetsu felt he was being overly worried. Even if White Zetsu's mind was a mess, it should be able to remember one thing as a clone. Didn't it complete so many missions before with his assistance?

Comforting himself in this way, Black Zetsu set off for Nagato's location.

It was another rooftop of a tall tower.

In the spacious room, the chandelier on the ceiling emitted a soft light, dispelling the darkness.

Directly beneath the chandelier was a rectangular stone table, surrounded by ten stone chairs, nine of which were already occupied.

Seated at the head was Yahiko, who had been resurrected not long ago. The other seats were occupied by Nagato, whose injuries had healed and whose strength had reached its peak, sitting next to Yahiko on the left, and Konan, who had a cold expression, on the right.

On the right, next to Konan, was Sasori, who was sulking. Then there was Deidara, who had just joined and was staring at Nagato, Yahiko, and Obito Uchiha, and Kakuzu, who was counting money to pass the time.

On the left, next to Nagato, sat Obito Uchiha, wearing a spiral mask. Kisame Hoshigaki, carrying Samehada on his back, had his arms crossed. Hidan, who had just joined, had his mouth sealed by Kakuzu and was making "woo woo" sounds.

"Zetsu, you're late," Nagato suddenly turned his head towards the doorway.

If you hadn't been eyeing my private property, I wouldn't have been this late.

Facing Nagato's gaze, Black Zetsu rolled his eyes and calmly walked to the end of the stone table to take a seat, then stated calmly, "I'm not late."

The other members of the Akatsuki didn't mind Black Zetsu's late arrival; they were all quite idle, so waiting a bit longer wasn't a problem.

Nagato retracted his gaze, sweeping it across the assembled group. "Now that everyone is here, let's begin the meeting. I will be presiding. The agenda concerns changes to the organization's plans..."

Upon hearing this, the expressions of half the members present shifted.

"Wait!" Deidara raised his hand. "Shouldn't we introduce the new face before the meeting starts?"

"We'll discuss it after the meeting," Nagato said, dismissing Deidara's objection and continuing with the meeting's agenda.

First, the intelligence report was read, detailing recent changes in the ninja world. Then, the appearance of the dimensional merchant and how it had altered the world's structure, and how the Akatsuki should proceed.

To be honest, most of those present had already lost interest after the intelligence report.

Kakuzu was startled by the news that Hashirama Senju had been resurrected; his hand trembled, and the banknotes he was holding scattered on the ground. He had heard rumors of Hashirama Senju's resurrection recently, but hadn't taken them seriously. He hadn't expected it to be true.

Hidan was "wailing" and looked agitated, as if he wanted to say something.

Sasori's resentment deepened immediately, his gloomy gaze piercing through the puppet and fixing on Nagato and the others.

Kisame Hoshigaki looked amazed, while Deidara was full of anticipation. Could this merchant, who could grant any wish, allow him to witness a higher level of art?

Obito Uchiha's face behind his mask was as black as the bottom of a pot. He was the only one in the entire ninja world who had missed the opportunity. Now, in order to revive Rin before Kakashi, he sought Nagato's assistance.

He had to be faster than Kakashi. If Kakashi revived Rin first, then…

"Thank you for saving me, Kakashi. I have nothing to give in return. I can only offer myself!"

A scene flashed through his mind, and Obito's face turned pale, and he gnashed his teeth secretly.

"Kakashi, don't even think about taking Rin away!"
