On the deck of the sailboat, Yugi Mutou stared at the message displayed in the chat interface, his expression slightly dazed.
So urgent?
He had wanted to chat a bit longer, but now Yugi could only show a helpless look.
Still… meeting in person might be better.
Yugi lowered his head and looked at himself. When he and Atem parted ways, he had only been around 150 cm tall—short and skinny, looking less like a high schooler and more like an elementary or early middle school kid.
But now, he was about 170 cm. Years of training had given him a good physique — he had undergone a complete transformation.
"Atem's definitely going to be shocked when he sees what I look like now."
"What are you smiling about? It's your turn."
A crisp female voice echoed, pulling Yugi back from his wandering thoughts.
"Sorry," Yugi apologized. He brought his fingers together into a sword shape and pressed them onto his deck. "My turn—draw!"
"I set one card. Turn end."
He glanced at the card he drew, thought for a moment, and placed it in the Spell & Trap Zone.
Shiroyasha's small face was tightly scrunched up. Looking at the three face-down cards in front of Yugi, she felt a wave of toothache.
If she had the appropriate organ of the opposite sex, she probably would've felt ○ pain too.
No one could remember if it had been half an hour ago, an hour ago, or even longer.
In a short period of time, their young sailboat had been thoroughly tortured.
First, the Serpentine Current had forcibly turned the ship into a roller coaster, giving the passengers a very… unique roller-coaster-like ship experience—extremely thrilling and extremely bumpy.
Of course, before the ship could be shaken apart, Muyang simply waved his hand and teleported the ship, jumping them to another part of the sea.
Whether it was because he cast the skill too hastily…Or because the ship was shaking too violently when he used it…Or maybe he just had slippery hands…
The landing point of the teleportation happened to be the Storm Rain Sea.
To be precise, Muyang didn't know the actual name of that sea region — he simply named it based on what he saw there.
In the Storm Rain Sea, every raindrop had a diameter of over a hundred meters. The little sailboat, barely thirty meters long, would be pulverized instantly if even one drop hit it.
Clearly, this sea region was extremely dangerous.
Therefore, before the hull even touched the water, Muyang teleported again.
Although this teleportation was also extremely rushed, no second accident occurred. The sailboat safely reappeared in a calm, peaceful stretch of ocean.
Once everything settled down, Muyang didn't go back to lying on his deck chair reading the newspaper. Instead, he walked over to Yugi and invited him to duel.
As for the reason—
Mainly a sudden impulse.
Everyone has moments like this — doing something and, for no reason at all, a random thought pops into your head. It might be related to what you're doing… or not related at all.
For example, after finishing his "work" (i.e., running away with the boat), Muyang happened to glance at Yugi out of the corner of his eye. And for whatever reason, a sudden urge to duel surged into his brain.
At the same time, memories from childhood surfaced — childish comments he'd made while watching Yu-Gi-Oh!, silly operations he'd attempted, and a burning desire…
To duel some character with his own deck.Or even defeat some certain character.
So naturally, Muyang wanted to duel Yugi Mutou.
Considering Yugi had just sold part of his Duelist Power, reducing his "top-deck divine draw power"… Muyang didn't know how much Yugi's strength had dropped, but it definitely had dropped.
And as the saying goes — strike while he's weak. The honor of defeating the King of Games?Muyang was ready to claim it!
Full of confidence, he didn't think he could possibly lose. His ego was fully inflated.
I'm a god — wind if I want wind, rain if I want rain. How could I lose to a weakened Yugi Mutou?
Confident, Muyang approached with a HERO deck in hand.
Heroes take the field!
Heroes fall!
OTK!
Six-card starting hand — three Spells, three Traps. Perfect dead hand. Immediate brick.
Meanwhile, Yugi had no bricking whatsoever. His plays flowed smoothly like water as he summoned three monsters and dropped Muyang's LP to zero.
"How is this possible!!!"
Muyang's pupils trembled.
No matter what, getting OTK'd in one turn was too ridiculous, wasn't it!?
Look at those so-called "God" or "Evil God" monsters in the series — sure, none of them defeated Yugi or Atem, but at least they lasted several turns. None got destroyed in a single round!
And I'm a god too!How did I lose in one turn!?
Something was off. Very off.
Could it be…
Because I don't have the hairstyle of a true dueling master?
Muyang's thoughts slipped like he'd stepped on a banana peel — shwoosh — and he was completely off track, fully absorbed in thinking about what hairstyle he should change to.
"Hey! How do you play this?"
Meanwhile, Shiroyasha, who had been watching the whole duel, became interested in the card game. She pointed to Yugi's Duel Disk.
What happened next didn't need much explanation. Since Shiroyasha was curious, of course she had to try playing.
No deck? Use Muyang's.
A newbie stepping out of the beginner village for the first time… and the first monster she fights is a demon lord-tier boss. The result was obvious.
Three turns — defeat.
Watching from the side, Muyang was devastated. A complete beginner who'd just touched Duel Monsters… was stronger than him.
Shiroyasha found dueling pretty fun, so she decided to keep playing.
In the following duels, she got hit by chain after chain, each one making her more confused.
Every time she saw the face-down cards in Yugi's Spell & Trap Zone, she wore that toothache expression again.
Now, returning to the present—
"My turn…"
Just as Shiroyasha was about to draw, she felt the sailboat bump into something. The whole ship shook.
"We've hit the Red Line," Muyang, who was watching, suddenly said.
"The Red Line?" Yugi repeated in confusion. Following Muyang's gaze to the right, his field of vision was filled with a massive crimson cliff. Looking left or right — he couldn't see the end of it.
Looking up — it towered to the heavens, its peak impossible to see.
"Kinda feel like punching a hole through the Red Line…" Muyang muttered as he looked at the crimson wall. The shortest distance between two points is a straight line; if they could go straight, why go around?
But then he remembered the phrase "rat digging holes," and he gave up the idea.
"Ghost Form!"
His words distorted reality — the ordinary sailboat instantly transformed into a ghost ship.
Ghosts can ignore obstacles like rocks or trees and move straight through. Naturally, Muyang's ghostified sailboat had the same property.
As the ghost ship sailed into the rock wall, the light was blocked by layers of stone. Inside the ship, it became pitch-black — you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Naturally, the duel couldn't continue.
And having been brutally crushed multiple times with zero gameplay experience, Shiroyasha used this as an excuse to immediately declare she wasn't playing anymore.
Yugi had no objections — bullying a beginner provided no enjoyment anyway.
