When Tia heard Waver talk about dismantling the Greater Grail, she couldn't help but think about the dismantling battle that was supposed to happen in the future.
If she remembered right, it should be in 2014.
That battle caused a commotion no less than a Holy Grail War itself.
But in 2014, another big event happened—the fake Holy Grail War in Snowfield City, America.
From what Tia knew, Waver's student Flat had joined, and later on Waver himself also went there.
But thinking about it… could Waver really dismantle the Greater Grail already?
Tia suddenly felt like her thoughts were falling behind the pace of the world.
"Um… Professor Waver, the main personality of Justeaze, the core of the Greater Grail, has probably already disappeared. Right now, the inside of the Grail belongs to Angra Mainyu, so it won't work," Tia reminded him.
"I see, what a pity," Waver said with some regret.
That's why I wanted to bring Ryougi Shiki over. With the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, maybe she really could help, right? Tia thought to herself.
"Master, do you have a way?" Lancelot suddenly asked, because Tia's expression looked like she was hiding something.
"Huh? This…" Tia froze for a moment at his words.
Am I showing it that clearly? She glanced at Lancelot, a little confused.
"Master, you really are showing it clearly…" Lancelot seemed to know exactly what she was thinking.
Tia sighed. "Fine. Actually… I have someone in mind who could destroy the Greater Grail."
"Who?" Waver, Alexander the Great, and Lancelot all asked at the same time.
"Someone," Tia smiled as she saw all three press her at once.
"Master…" Lancelot gave a helpless look. "Just say it."
Alexander the Great crossed his arms, looking down at Tia.
"Tia! Out with it already!" Only Waver came over and shouted at her directly.
Tia was startled by their reactions, stepped back, and her mouth twitched.
"Better just say it, Master," Lancelot steadied her with a light smile.
Tia had made a rare joke, only to trap herself in it. Feeling helpless, she casually said, "Ryougi Shiki."
The three of them were left puzzled, since the name was completely unfamiliar.
"Ryougi Shiki… who's that?" Waver scratched his head curiously.
"She's an ordinary human with Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, and her body is linked to the Root," Tia explained with another smile.
And not just any Root—put simply, she's like the Root's own representative office. Basically, she can fulfill any wish, even change history itself.
The King doesn't even need the Holy Grail to get his wish granted. The Holy Grail is nothing compared to Ryougi Shiki. Come to think of it, maybe I should introduce her to the King someday, Tia thought to herself.
"Mystic Eyes of Death Perception!" Waver shouted in shock. "And her body connects to the Root! Doesn't that make her invincible?!" He was so stunned he nearly lost his balance.
Alexander the Great casually caught him. "So such a person really exists in this world. This king would love to see it for himself."
"Even if you want to, it won't help. The Root's will won't show itself. It only hides inside Ryougi Shiki's body. Unless she wants to meet you, no one can see it," Tia explained further.
"I see, that really is a shame," Alexander the Great said with regret. "I've always wanted to reach the sea at the end of the world. I'd love to ask the all-powerful Root whether it really exists."
"You've got to be kidding me! Rider! Are you an idiot? Haven't I already told you the Earth is round?! There's no such thing as an 'end'!" Waver couldn't help yelling at his words.
Alexander flicked him on the forehead with a snap.
"Uwaaah~~" Waver crouched down, holding his head in pain.
Tia almost couldn't hold back her laughter.
"Tia… what you said earlier, about the Root's will… does it really exist?" Waver stood up again and asked, struggling.
"Of course. Otherwise why would I suggest bringing her here to cut down the Greater Grail?" Tia waved her hand.
"Master, would the Root's will really bother with something so boring? If she truly is the Root, then to her, our Holy Grail War must look like children playing house," Lancelot said seriously.
"But how can we know without trying? Professor Waver, are you interested in coming with me to Kuonbuchi City?" Tia asked.
"You mean that Ryougi Shiki is in Kuonbuchi City?" Waver asked in surprise.
Tia nodded. "Yes."
"Alright then! Once the Holy Grail War is over, I've got nowhere else to go anyway. I'll go with you to Kuonbuchi City!" Waver agreed right away.
"Hey, boy. You should really face your own talent head-on and talk things through with your teacher. You shouldn't be running away," Alexander the Great told Waver at that moment.
"Mind your own business!" Waver gave Alexander the Great a glare.
Tia couldn't help but smile again.
The way the King and his Queen interacted was always such a delight to watch.
"Master, what are you laughing at?" Lancelot's voice pulled Tia back. "You're home. Time to get out."
Tia paused for a moment, wanting to stay longer and chat, maybe watch the King and his Queen a bit more. But oh well, there was still important stuff to do at home.
"Alright, I'll head back first. We'll talk about what to do next tomorrow," Tia said, realizing she had to leave for now.
"Yeah. You've worked hard too, Tia. You must have used up a lot of mana. Go home and get some rest early," Waver reminded her casually.
Tia turned to look at him and said, "Professor Waver, I've got plenty of mana left."
She waved her hand like it was nothing, but Waver's face instantly twisted like he was constipated. She had hit him where it hurt most—his lack of mana.
"Hahaha! Kid! You'd better focus on beating Tia in knowledge instead! When it comes to magic talent, just give up! You'll never win!" Alexander the Great burst out laughing loudly at their exchange.
Next, the story will start adding more emotional moments for the main character because of the coming plot.
