Skyflame Storm!
With the evolution of Su Linfeng's Martial Spirit, the technique had transformed—
Now it was the Thunderflame Storm.
Within the crimson storm of fire, purple lightning of destruction. Even with their Gale attribute, the three Nether Venom Spider Kings couldn't escape. In the blink of an eye, they were swallowed whole.
Under the horrified gazes of the Golden Generation—
The three towering beasts, each more than a meter tall, were drawn into the storm's eye, their bodies entirely replaced by raging fire. Thunder boomed within, the fusion of fire, lightning, and wind creating an overloaded effect.
Su Linfeng stood still, extending his right hand.
His five fingers curled shut.
"Explode."
The word was soft, but absolute.
The three raging Thunderflame Storms rapidly contracted, compressing tighter and tighter.
Then—BOOOOM!
They detonated in an instant, bursting apart like colossal fireworks in the night sky.
When the flames and thunder dissipated, nothing remained of the three Spider Kings. Not even ashes. Only three yellow spirit rings floated where they had perished.
All of this, though it seemed complex, had taken less than a minute.
Hu Liena slashed down the spider before her, then turned toward Su Linfeng.
So strong.
So dazzling.
Even in Martial Spirit Fusion, she froze in place. At this moment, her eyes held only him.
He was only six years old—yet compared to even her brother, he gave off a maturity and steadiness that made her feel safe.
With the three Spider Kings dead, the surrounding swarm began retreating with a soft shaa-shaa-shaa.
Hu Liena and Xie Yue released their Martial Spirit Fusion.
The Golden Generation let out a collective sigh of relief.
But aside from Xu Yu, the only one well protected, everyone bore wounds.
Hu Liena's wounds were the worst—an ugly spear-gash carved across her back, black-red blood soaking her silver armor.
She had been the one leading the Fusion, and she had fought hardest.
If not for Su Linfeng's timely intervention, the Golden Generation would've paid dearly. At minimum, their spirit power would've been drained, and two or three of them gravely injured.
"So strong! No wonder it was a thousand-year spirit ring," Sun Chuantao said blankly, unable to hold back his praise.
"And even his soul skills changed with the Martial Spirit's evolution."
Li Kai followed, stunned: "Back when we sparred… looks like he wasn't even using seventy percent of his strength."
"Seventy percent?"
Zhang Ping shot him a look and muttered, "If he really used seventy percent, you'd have been vaporized like those spiders."
Li Kai grimaced. True enough.
That scene just now was too terrifying.
Forget an eleventh-rank spirit master—even a Spirit Grandmaster at rank twenty-one would've been reduced to nothing in seconds.
Too strong.
"Fortieth rank—Soul Ancestor realm!"
This time, it was Hu Liena who spoke. "Even with Martial Spirit Fusion, my brother and I only reached Spirit Elder. Yet facing him… There was this overwhelming pressure I couldn't resist."
"Don't be fooled by Su-gege's rank twenty-four—he can unleash attacks at the Soul Ancestor level."
"And stronger than an ordinary Soul Ancestor at that. His Martial Spirit could suppress even top-tier ones with ease."
Monster.
All of the Golden Generation turned to look at Su Linfeng as he walked toward them.
Their hearts brimmed with shock and awe.
A Spirit Grandmaster at rank twenty-four leaping across two entire realms? That defied all of Spirit Master theory.
Challenging across one realm was rare but conceivable—either through natural Martial Spirit suppression, or sheer quality.
But two?
Unheard of.
No textbooks, no teachers had ever described such a case.
Monster wasn't enough. He was a freak of nature.
"What's wrong?"
Su Linfeng chuckled lightly at the stunned group. "After a battle like that, shouldn't you all be restoring your spirit power?"
"Linfeng-ge…"
Zhang Ping was first to recover, her voice tinged with concern. "You're not hurt, are you?"
"I'm fine."
Su Linfeng waved it off with a smile. "Just drained some soul power. I'll recover. What about you—are you injured?"
As he spoke, he noticed the scratches on Zhang Ping's neck, still seeping blackened energy.
And she wasn't alone. Except for Xu Yu, nearly everyone was in bad shape.
This had been their first true fight against vicious soul beasts. Inexperience had cost them.
Before, their hunts had always been under teacher supervision, never truly life-threatening.
This time was different.
If they hadn't fought desperately, they'd already be spider fodder.
"Don't worry, Linfeng-ge."
Zhang Ping smiled like a child. "It's just a scratch. I already took an antidote pill."
In truth, she was a child.
Sometimes, just a word of concern, a simple glance, was enough to make her happy.
We're all like that, aren't we?
Su Linfeng smiled faintly and released the Golden Flame Domain again, enveloping the Golden Generation.
The familiar warmth spread over them.
They could see the black venomous miasma fading from their wounds. Cuts and slashes began to knit shut. It was like their very lives were being reborn.
"Meimei!"
Xie Yue's sudden cry broke the moment. He caught Hu Liena as she faltered.
Su Linfeng frowned and turned sharply.
Hu Liena, pale as snow, was half-kneeling despite her brother's support.
Su Linfeng rushed over.
When he saw the wound carved down her back—from shoulder to waist—his breath caught.
No wonder she was so quiet just now. She's been holding this in all along.
Yan, Zhang Ping, Xu Yu, and the others gathered around. Their faces went pale at the sight.
Especially Zhang Ping, who squeaked in alarm: "Oh no, Nana's bleeding so much!"
Yan added urgently, "What do we do? There's no medical hall in Death Canyon!"
"Maybe we should take her out?" Li Kai suggested anxiously.
"No!"
Xie Yue's rejection was immediate. His voice was harsh: "If we do that, Nana will lose her place in the Golden Generation of the Spirit Hall."
"Don't panic. Stop the bleeding first."
Su Linfeng remained calm. "My domain can heal flesh, but it can't stop bleeding. We need to stop the blood flow first."
"Su-gege…" Hu Liena's pale face turned to him.
"Don't talk."
Su Linfeng's gaze softened as he reassured her. Then he turned to Zhang Ping.
"Help Nana to the tent."
Zhang Ping nodded quickly, taking Hu Liena from Xie Yue and supporting her carefully inside.
Then Su Linfeng addressed Xie Yue: "Don't worry. She'll be fine. Go fetch clean water from the lake."
Finally, he looked at Xu Yu.
