Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Shadows of Withdrawal and the Hellfire Clash

The mysterious demon slowly turned toward Morlock, his voice like thunder:

Mysterious Demon:

"Withdraw the troops."

Morlock hesitated, panting, his face pale:

Morlock:

"But… Asmodeus is still…"

Before he could finish, the demon's gaze pierced him, sharp as blades, making sweat pour down his forehead.

His chest tightened, as though his very soul was being crushed.

At last he screamed, his voice trembling yet sharp:

Morlock:

"Wiiiithdraaaw!!!"

The war horns began to sound, and the demon ranks retreated slowly… step by step.

But the voices of the soldiers on the other side still rose.

Their voices were like thunder, shaking the earth, rising above all the blood and ruin.

Narrator:

"And so, the war ceased suddenly.

But the chant of Oungan's name still echoed… and the blood spilled today would not be forgotten tomorrow."

Scene Two: The Hellfire Clash

Another sky exploded… where the sound of withdrawal had not reached.

There, Hades and Phinikeiros faced Asmodeus in a battle beyond imagination.

Hades' black daggers cut through the air like lightning, clashing against a wall of black flames.

Sparks flew, darkness and fire devouring one another.

Phinikeiros let out a cry, his wings blazing:

Phinikeiros:

"Flame Whirlwind!!!"

Fiery feathers rained upon Asmodeus' back, and he screamed in pain:

Asmodeus:

"Ghhhhhah!… Daaaamn you!!!"

But in a sudden instant—

Hades burst from the shadows, his black daggers gleaming toward Asmodeus' neck.

A deadly premonition pierced Asmodeus' heart.

Asmodeus (thinking):

"He's aiming to cut off my head…! But… I'm not finished yet!!!"

Asmodeus gathered all his defense at his throat, but Hades suddenly shifted.

He kicked his stomach hard, driving him backward.

Hades (with a killer's coldness):

"I'll tear you apart piece by piece."

But Asmodeus suddenly raised his hands—

A massive black flame burst forth like a storm, surging toward Phinikeiros.

Phinikeiros:

"Damn it!!!"

He narrowly evaded, the fire grazing his wing, smoke trailing behind.

Hades leapt back, his face expressionless.

And with a sharp dagger, he plunged it straight into Asmodeus' abdomen.

Black blood burst from the wound.

Hades (in a cold voice):

"Your end draws near."

Asmodeus (madly):

"You've… grown faster!!!"

Another explosion shook the sky, leaving the world suspended between darkness and flame.

Scene Three: The Burning Shackles and the Looming End

Asmodeus' body crashed into the ground, breathing like a wounded beast, before Phinikeiros descended from the sky like a blazing meteor.

With his sharp claws, he pinned Asmodeus' chest to the earth, his feet driven into the ground like stakes, sparks flaring from his wings.

The earth split beneath them, as though hell itself had cracked open.

Asmodeus (roaring like a trapped beast):

"I'm shackled in cold soil,

But my fire will not break, nor be bound!"

Phinikeiros (eyes blazing, shouting):

"You burned the earth and reaped lives,

Now taste your chain…!"

He pressed down with his claws, glaring toward Hades, his voice like a storm's roar:

Phinikeiros:

"Hades!

Sever his head,

And let us be buried with him in the pit of hell!"

Hades advanced, his steps as cold as death, his voice like a poem of darkness:

Hades:

"A head crowned with pride,

Now cut like a broken blade.

Your blood… shall be the ink of your end."

But suddenly—

A desperate scream tore the sky, as Asmodeus unleashed a storm of black wind from his chest, sweeping the battlefield.

Phinikeiros was hurled to the ground afar, his wings aflame with sparks, his voice mingling with the smoke:

Phinikeiros (in pain):

"Your wind is treacherous, son of hell…"

While the winds howled, Hades stood unmoved, his body not shifting a hair.

And in a single instant, he appeared behind Asmodeus, his black dagger like a dark moon.

The blade sank into his neck.
