Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Visitors

Receiving fragments of memories from his previous lives had its downsides.

Other than the possibility of having an identity crisis, the memories in his brain are more likely to get jumbled, becoming lost in the process.

Judas felt that, on the tip of his tongue, he had seen these women before, but he couldn't remember exactly where.

'Maybe its just my imagination.'

The Astraea Familia?

Although they were famous throughout the world, Judas was not too familiar with them.

"I'm too tired right now, maybe later."

Therefore, he had no interest.

"Alright, I'll have the guards tell them to leave."

The Loki and Astraea familias may have had a good relationship and were close allies, but Loki prioritized Judas first, a monstrously talented member of her familia.

Judas took one more glance at them and was about to walk away, but his steps froze when he saw someone familiar.

'Is that Ryuu? Why is she with them?'

After spotting the familiar elf, Judas changed his mind.

"You know what, I'll go there and meet them right now."

In the entire show, Ryuu was his favorite character.

The last time they interacted at the tavern had been brief, but that was because Judas was socially awkward and couldn't start a proper conversation with her.

'She wants to meet me? For what reason?'

Judas tried to guess her intentions.

To be honest, aside from Lili, he couldn't remember a single face he had rescued that day.

"Oh? Hehe, I knew it. After seeing them being such cute girls, you're now eager to see them right away."

Loki spoke with a lewd smile.

Judas ignored her and had already started walking towards the gate.

"Lion, I didn't think you would come here with us today."

At the Loki Familia's gate, the members of the Astraea Familia were having a conversation.

"You said that man is back, right? I just wanted to meet him and see his face."

Most of the time, Ryuu's expression was indifferent when interacting with others, akin to an aloof beauty.

But when she was around Alise and the others, a soft smile would often grace her lips.

"And what about you, Syr? What made you come all the way here?"

Alise shifted her gaze to the silver-haired woman beside Ryuu, both of them still wearing their tavern uniforms.

"Just like Ryuu, I also happened to find myself curious about this person you speak so highly of."

Syr replied with her signature smile.

Alise nodded and didn't find anything strange about their comments.

"Unfortunately, it has been three days and he has yet to awaken, so it's better not to get your hopes up."

Lyra commented.

"I am aware."

Ryuu nodded.

"Hmph, Goddess Loki is being too protective. We just wanted to see him, what's the big idea?"

Kaguya said, glaring at the guard stationed at the gate.

The guard flinched and started sweating, turning his head away to avoid her gaze.

"There are many people who wanted to pay our savior a visit. Loki probably doesn't want people disturbing his recovery, just be patient."

Ryuu said.

"I heard he is in a coma. Will he be alright?"

Syr asked in a worried voice.

"Don't worry, our savior isn't so weak as to succumb to something like that. And he's getting treatment from Airmid. With her skills, it will only be a matter of time before he fully recovers."

Alise remained optimistic, confident in her assessment.

As if to prove her right, from the corner of her vision she spotted Judas walking through the manor's doors.

"Here he is."

Alise waved to get his attention.

"You can let them in."

Judas said to the guard.

"Right away, sir."

The guard saluted. Normally, a rookie wouldn't be able to give orders to a senior member like him, but since it was Judas—who made a name for himself in the recent incident—he didn't mind and even treated him with respect.

The sound of metal rang out as the gates slowly opened, revealing a wide-eyed Ryuu on the other side while Syr let out a knowing smile, her eyes glazed with hidden intentions.

"Hello, Mr. Savior. Since this is the first time we're introducing ourselves, the name of this beautiful and dazzling heroine is Alise Lovell. And this is Kaguya."

The far eastern woman nodded in acknowledgement.

"This is Lyra."

Alise pointed towards the pink-haired pallum with an eyepatch.

"Yo."

Lyra grinned, looking at Judas as if evaluating him.

"And our dear little sister, Lion."

Alise then pointed to the elf in a green dress, who gave her a side eye.

Ryuu shook her head and stared at Judas, a flash of astonishment in her eyes.

"So it was you... the boy who gave off a nice scent."

Ryuu never would have thought the boy who had caused Syr's nose to bleed was the same person who had saved them five years ago.

Although his name had spread throughout Orario, very few people had actually seen his face.

Even the ones he had saved during the incident had barely gotten a glimpse of his speeding figure, simply because he moved too fast for them to see.

There had been investigations into Judas since the incident, but the information gathered was very limited.

Since Judas had only recently registered at the Guild, there were barely any records on him at all.

The only thing in his file was a small hand-drawn photo, and only a select few individuals were allowed to view it.

"I knew my instincts were correct. I had a hunch when you dined at the pub the other day."

Ryuu spoke as she held her chin.

At first, Judas was confused, until realization struck him like lightning and his eyes widened.

'I knew they seemed familiar... it's them from five years ago.'

Seeing the look on his face, Alise and the others realized he had forgotten about them.

"Now you remember us? That's too harsh, even though we fought together before."

Lyra spoke with mock sadness, pretending to wipe tears from her eye.

"What? Don't tell me you actually forgot about us? This beautiful and dazzling damsel that fought side by side with you?"

"You seemed so capable and reliable during battles that I never would've thought you were actually so dull."

Kaguya's words were sharp and didn't hold back at all.

Hearing them, Judas smiled wryly.

"What do you expect? It was five years ago."

Ryuu stepped forward and bowed her head.

Syr was surprised by this development, and watched with interest.

"Forgive me for not noticing earlier. For a long time, I wanted to meet you again and offer my gratitude."

She raised her head and looked Judas straight in the eyes.

'For some reason, there's this sweet and soothing scent coming from him.'

'It almost feels like I am in the presence of the sacred tree.'

A sense of ease filled her mind.

"Oh my, to think Ryuu would also be here."

Another woman's voice rang out from a distance.

Judas shifted his gaze toward the brown-haired woman approaching.

'A Goddess?'

"Goddess Astraea."

Alise and the others greeted her.

"You must be the one who saved my familia five years ago."

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Astraea. It's nice to finally meet you."

Astraea bowed in a similar manner to Ryuu.

"As the head of the familia, I would like to express my gratitude for saving my precious children."

Judas glanced at the women surrounding him, then at the onlookers who were keeping an eye on their interaction.

'I can see a few are giving me the stink eye.'

All of the women here were beautiful... it was no exaggeration to say they had many admirers in the city.

"It was no problem, Goddess Astraea."

At the corner of his eye, he saw Syr gazing at him with a dreamy look, as though she had found her lost love.

'Why do I feel like I just became a harem protagonist?'

Judas cursed the author in his mind.
