[Miro Big Announcement ㄷㄷ]
Not just a regular notice, what's with the "big" announcement?
Don't you know Miro's style? It's just bait.
ㄴ True lol
When Miro says it's important → it's never important
ㄴ Just said she's moving
[Reason Miro's moving?]
Wasn't that story after the song stream really Miro?
Fr... feels like that's why she's moving
Why hasn't the guy posted a follow-up?
ㄴ Deleted his post after lol
ㄴ For real? LMAO
She said it's just lease ending → cope
ㄴ Can't believe someone buys that lol
ㄴ Put your deposit down for her, bro
ㄴ F*** off
Man, you guys just wanna believe that. Like Miro's really that pretty?
ㄴ You don't know tho
ㄴ God, I hope so
ㄴ Nah she's just the "PC bang goddess" lol
[Miro definitely doesn't have a boyfriend rn]
If she did, she'd still be living alone. Going back home proves she's still a virgin.
Honestly sounded like BS, but thinking she's 21... maybe true
Sorry...
ㄴ Sorry for what, virgin boy
ㄴ Why do you talk like that...?
ㄴ God this board's trash
[Break notice posted]
(Miro's short break notice from the fan café)
I capped it since it's long.
Bruh lmao
So half-assed
Perfect summary kek
Is this real?
ㄴ Yeah, real
Who even checks the café lol
ㄴ Some people do
ㄴ I check it
[Logged into Royal Ground kek]
Damn, she queued early so no one could snipe.
Ugh, she's just gonna play one game and log off again huh
ㄴ Could be
Solo this time though
Not playing with that VTuber?
ㄴ She's got 1.6M subs, like she'd play with some Korean nobody?
F***, when's the next song stream? I keep looping the VOD, it's delicious
ㄴ Wait another year, loser
ㄴ Nah, it's never happening again lol
[If Miro streamed like the other members]
5–6 hour streams each time, monthly song streams, constant content... she'd be the #1 in Celestial Project.
She's balancing herself out...
She's already #1 though
Anna told her not to overdo it
If she did, the seniors would bully her
She's just keeping balance...
Still, she's the only one streaming almost every day...
ㄴ But only for 2 hours
ㄴ Even so, daily's something
[1.6M VTuber sends love call kek]
(Clip of the Japanese friend request message)
"Let's play together! Together!" kek
Alright boys, let's head into /vtuber/ kek
Is this WWII round 2??
Damn, she sent the love call first
Miro the Great
[??? This bitch insane?]
She rejected it—when the other has 16 times more subs?? Should've leech'd!
She's nuts;;
Rejecting this??
F*** off Japanese—Miro did the right thing
ㄴ (screenshot of the VTuber's channel)
[The Japanese VTuber Miro just rejected]
(Main channel page of Murasaki Tenshi, 1.6M subs)
Bruh she's insane lol
Why reject that?
ㄴ She just said "not now, let's do it later"
Does Miro not care about growing her channel? Unreal
ㄴ Doesn't matter, she's already Celestial Project's #1
ㄴ Isn't Anna #1?
ㄴ Anna got beaten last time lol
Miro's got something, no doubt. Even a 1.6M VTuber's coming to her first.
ㄴ Great voice, fun personality, good vibes
ㄴ Good personality?
ㄴ Compared to the usual bitchy Korean girls, she's top 1% lol
ㄴ Yeah, she doesn't get into pissing contests.
ㄴ Just a goofy prankster type lol
For real, just collab already
Or maybe they're playing off-stream?
"Should I have just said yes?"
Late at night, after the stream.
Sitting in my half-empty apartment, I thought back on it.
In the end, I'd turned down the Japanese VTuber's invite.
I told her since I was streaming now, we could play later, off-stream.
Why did I say that?
Maybe... because I wanted an actual friend.
If we played on stream, it'd turn into a work relationship.
Like with my Celestial Project peers—we're close, but we rarely meet outside of work.
Maybe this was my first chance, as a girl, to make a real friend. Who knows?
Of course, I had Hye-jung, but she was tied to female Soo-hyun's past.
Sometimes I still felt a disconnect.
Like when she nodded along at memories that I only had as secondhand fragments, forcing a smile.
Moments like that made me feel... like I wasn't really me.
"Ugh, whatever."
I pulled the blanket over my head and closed my eyes.
Tonight, I had to sleep early.
After the stream, the composer had contacted me.
The new Celestial Project song was ready—I should come listen.
Tomorrow I'd go hear it for the first time in the studio.
I hadn't heard it yet, but knowing his skill, I felt more excited than nervous.
The next day.
The studio looked as great as ever.
Come to think of it, I hadn't heard much since we decided on the new track. Guess he takes his time.
"Good to see you, Soo-hyun."
"Yes, composer-nim."
(Huh, he changed how he calls me.)
He used to say Miro-nim. Now it was Soo-hyun-ssi.
Was it his way of showing familiarity?
Or maybe since my last contract was under "Soo-hyun," he was using that?
Either way, I could ask someday.
I followed him inside.
"Is the song finished?"
Sitting on the studio couch I'd grown used to, I asked. He stroked his rough stubble and nodded.
"It came out well. And actually, there's another reason I called you here first."
"Oh? Why?"
"I want you to do the guide vocals."
"Huh? A guide?"
A guide vocal.
Basically, before the actual singer records, someone sings a draft version so the composer's intent doesn't get lost.
"—That's one reason, but of course I also wanted to talk a bit about the new song we contracted separately."
Saying that, the composer walked over to the audio setup, clicked a few times, and played the track.
"First, listen to the melody for the new Celestial Project song. The lyrics are printed here."
"Uh... okay."
Just dropping the song on me like this?
I got over the surprise quickly and focused on the melody pouring out of the speakers.
It was clean, refreshing—really pleasant to hear.
But also... tough. Even from the melody alone, it sounded hard to sing.
Once it ended, I looked at the lyrics sheet.
So this was... uh...
"Wait, is this... high-teen style?"
"Correct."
...So the new Celestial Project song's concept is high-teen. Really?
"All the members are playing students?"
"Exactly."
There were six students in the lyrics—obviously the six Project members.
I briefly thought of Anna, the eldest, but forced myself to focus on the lines.
It was easy to tell which lyrics belonged to which member. I almost laughed.
Then I noticed some odd ones. Overly confident, cocky, almost narcissistic lines.
"...Who's this? Sounds like a narcissist."
"That's you, Miro."
"Seriously?"
"Who else would it be?"
"Uh..."
"I personally like that part, but... should we swap it out?"
"N-no..."
So that's how people see me, huh?
But all I ever did was be objective.
They say self-evaluation is hardest, but for me, "female Soo-hyun" always felt like a separate being. I judged her like "male Soo-hyun" would, and from that, confidence grew.
...That's not narcissism.
"Anyway, time to record the guide vocal."
"Why me, though...?"
Wouldn't Anna, Roa, or even Maho be better?
We could discuss the new track later. Why should I do the guide?
"You need the practice."
"Ah."
"To be honest, that solo track we contracted? It's really difficult."
"Yeah... true."
"Wouldn't it be better to build some experience first?"
He was right. I could only nod.
In the end, this was for my benefit. He was taking extra time to help me grow, when he didn't have to.
"It's just a guide, so I won't work you too hard."
"...Right?"
"By the way, have you eaten yet?"
"I had breakfast."
"So what do you want for lunch?"
It was only 10 a.m. now. Considering lunch was at noon...
"...Black bean noodles sound good."
So this was gonna take at least two hours...
Accepting my fate like a cow to slaughter, I stepped into the booth.
By the time I finished, it had been four hours.
"Good work."
"Phew... yeah."
Not too hard? Yeah, right. He'd wrung me out like a rag.
"My throat... surprisingly doesn't hurt though."
"You've got natural vocal cords."
"Really?"
"Absolutely. Even pro singers would envy them. Be proud."
"Like the lyrics say?"
"Haha... Again, I didn't write those lyrics."
"Then who did? Feels like whoever it was actually watched our streams."
"The lyricist we chose is a friend of mine. And yeah, a Celestial Project fan."
"Oh..."
A fan, huh. Would be fun to ask who their favorite member is if I ever meet them.
"Want me to get you their autograph?"
"Um..."
"Oh, I was just joking."
Why did he suddenly look like he was seriously considering it?
"Wait, does that person actually want one?"
"No, no... not them."
"Then...?"
"My son watches your streams."
...He has a son? And my viewer, too?
"You have a son? How old?"
"Just started high school."
"Oh..."
I thought this composer was early forties...
"Married early, huh?"
"Yeah... something like that."
He said it casually, but the air dipped for a moment. Sensitive topic?
As a streamer, I knew when to change gears.
"Where should I sign, then?"
Best to steer the mood quickly.
"Uh..."
He looked around for something.
Obviously I didn't carry autograph cards, and I'd never even signed one before.
The stuff nearby were all his personal notebooks and gear. Tissue? No way. Tear a page out? Maybe...
No.
I took off the cap I'd been wearing.
It was clean—just washed. Good enough.
I grabbed a marker and held it up.
"Here, I'll sign this. My very first autograph. Premium stuff."
"W-wait a second."
Flustered, the composer half-stood.
"No need to refuse—"
"No, it's not that... Could you write my name on it?"
"...Huh?"
"Yeah. My son doesn't study anyway... just put my name."
"Uh... okay..."
So he was the collector type after all?
