Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 Slytherin Star

Wednesday morning, Herbology Class.

As expected, George once again earned ten points for Slytherin.

Originally, this body, having followed the Old Wizard to sell Potion for many years, already had a lot of understanding of Herbology and Potion. Coupled with the assistance of his main body's computer, first-year problems were simply no match for him.

In the afternoon, George left the Castle alone and walked along a small path leading to the Forbidden Forest, heading towards Hagrid's hut.

It was early July, the most comfortable time of year, neither too cold nor too hot. The small paths outside the Castle were lined with various wildflowers, and the lush green grass stretched all the way to the Black Lake.

If one were to walk a few more steps along the grass towards the Black Lake, they might even find a few pairs of older Wizard talking about love on the slope.

Children abroad mature early, and Wizard at Hogwarts mature even earlier. Many start dating in their second or third year. Those like Ron and Harry, who only begin to develop feelings in their fourth or fifth year, are a minority.

Without disturbing those young couples, he walked along, passed through the Quidditch Pitch, and crossed a long stone bridge.

Finally, at the edge of a boundless forest, he saw a wooden house two or three times larger than normal, with large pumpkins planted in front of it.

"Woof woof woof!"

Just as he reached the door of the hut, a large black dog suddenly jumped out from the side and barked at him in a challenging manner.

George stared at the large black dog, and as his psychic ability activated, the big black dog paused, then began to wag its tail.

"Fang, stop!"

At that moment, the door of the wooden house was pushed open, and Hagrid revealed his massive body.

"It's you, little boss, welcome. I just made some rock cakes; you can have some with this little friend."

"That would be an honor."

George showed a surprised expression. He hadn't expected Hagrid to have other guests today besides himself.

"Ginny, why are you here? Don't you have Class this afternoon?"

Walking into the wooden house, he saw Ginny sitting on a stool taller than herself.

As far as he knew, Gryffindor only had a break from Class on Friday afternoons, and today was Wednesday.

"George, you… you're right, I need to get ready for Class."

Ginny jumped off the stool in a bit of a panic and hurried out of the hut.

Hagrid placed the freshly made rock cakes on the table and chuckled:

"The little girl wanted to ask me when Harry usually comes over, but you scared her away. So, you can finish her share."

"Hmm, such fragrant rock cakes, but unfortunately, I just finished lunch in the Great Hall before coming here, it's really... such a pity."

George patted his bulging stomach, regretfully pushing the rock cakes in front of him back.

Hagrid's rock cakes were made according to his own teeth; they were hard enough to be bricks, and he didn't want to chip his teeth.

Seeing that George's stomach was indeed quite round, clearly indicating he had eaten a lot, Hagrid also showed a look of regret, picked up the rock cakes, and devoured them in a few bites.

"Next time, be sure to save room in your stomach when you come over."

"Hagrid, I'm very interested in magical creatures and have read some books on the subject. I have a few questions I'd like to ask you."

George twitched his mouth, then stated the purpose of his visit.

Being able to communicate with magical creatures using psychic abilities did not necessarily mean he could tame them for his own use; it simply gave him a greater advantage compared to ordinary Wizard.

Just like the magizoologist Newt Scamander, who is said to have been born with the ability to communicate with magical creatures.

But Newt's ability to subdue so many powerful magical creatures was primarily due to his thorough understanding of their habits, allowing him to apply the right remedies.

"You're interested in magical creatures? That's wonderful! I'll tell you everything I know."

Hagrid, being simple-natured, immediately started talking non-stop when he heard George shared his interest.

George listened there, while his main body simultaneously took notes elsewhere.

Learning about magical creatures was, on one hand, to tame powerful magical creatures for his own use, and on the other hand, to capitalize on the resources of the Forbidden Forest.

Many precious magical creatures are valuable from head to toe, essential materials for making magical items and Potion, and there are quite a few of these precious magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest.

For example, the venom of the Acromantula, one pint is worth 100 Galleon, and there are at least over a hundred Acromantula in the Forbidden Forest.

Speaking of making money, Potion masters, often hailed as the most lucrative, actually don't earn as much as magical creature masters.

However, most magical creature masters cherish magical creatures and do not intentionally use them to earn money. Moreover, becoming a magical creature master is not a simple task; without certain strength, one can easily be eaten by magical creatures.

Newt was born with the ability to communicate with magical creatures, and Hagrid possesses half Giant blood.

In fact, it's not just about money, because sometimes things that cannot be bought with money can be exchanged for rare magical creatures, symbolizing an important exchange resource.

Thursday, Transfiguration Class and Defense Against the Dark Arts Class in the morning, Charms Class in the afternoon, and a History of Magic Class in the evening.

George once again earned forty bonus points for Slytherin, making Slytherin's score far outstrip the other three houses, leaving them far behind and proving with his strength that what he said that morning was not an exaggeration.

Because of this, he gradually earned the reputation of "Star of Slytherin" in the school, a rising new star in Slytherin.

In reality, Slytherin's overall scoring was not weak each year, and coupled with Snape's favoritism, they were able to win the House Cup every year.

It was just that last year, Hermione, the academic prodigy, came and scored heavily. Even with Harry and Ron dragging her down and Snape deducting points, the gap wasn't too wide, allowing Dumbledore to successfully stage a comeback by adding points during the Philosopher's Stone incident.

This year, George could score even more than Hermione. Not only did he score in other subjects, but he could also score in History of Magic, and he didn't have Snape as a deduction factor. Even if Dumbledore showed favoritism, a difference of one or two hundred points might be excusable, but a difference of several hundred points would be hard to compensate for.

Professor Snape, the Dean of Slytherin, shared the same thought as him.

"Does anyone know what ingredients are needed for the Potion to cure boils? George, you answer."

During Potion Class on Friday morning, when George stood up for the fifth time to answer a question, he himself felt slightly embarrassed.

"It's powdered asphodel root, wormwood, and porcupine quills, Professor."

"It seems not everyone is an idiot. Five points to Slytherin."

Snape scanned the entire classroom. Except for George, all the other young Wizard lowered their heads.

"Next, we will try to brew this Potion. I hope you won't be so idiotic."

As he brewed the Potion step by step according to the instructions, George couldn't help but marvel that Snape was indeed completely different from Professor McGonagall.

Actually, the questions Snape just asked were slightly beyond the scope of the curriculum. Aside from someone like George who could look up Herbology and Potion textbooks at any time, it would be difficult for other young Wizard to answer.

You might say he was showing favoritism, and indeed, only George could raise his hand and answer. If you were to be strict about it, even Dumbledore couldn't say anything.

But George was sure that Snape wanted him to boost the scores, otherwise he wouldn't ask five questions in one Class. Now that he had brewed the Potion, he would probably be given points.

Sure enough, when he was the first to brew the Potion, Snape came to his side like a large bat.

"Excellent Potion. Five points to Slytherin."
