"Mana… mana… mana… I’ve freaking died a hundred times already — and mark my words, mana doesn’t do shit to those beings!"

A boy screamed, half in rage, half in despair.

Towering before him was a being so vast that its face was swallowed in shadow.

"And… perhaps, what if I told you mana was never real?" The voice rumbled, cold and vast. "What if I told you mana atoms could be broken down into smaller constituents?"

The boy froze. He tilted his head upward, trying to glimpse its hidden visage. His voice cracked.

"Huh? What the hell are you even talking about now? The only thing I know is that catastrophe is coming — and humanity can’t do shit about it!"

The being’s presence pressed heavier.

"Tell me, why do you think mana doesn’t exist in the Plasma Dimension… in the Upper Echelons… or the Lake of Harbinger?"

"Well… they say that years ago, during the Doomspire Conflict, ‘mana’ was sucked out of those dimensions by reality itself."

"No. You are wrong." The voice grew sharper, haunting. "Mana still exists there — but in another form. A form humans were never designed to detect… nor control."

The boy’s breath caught.

The being leaned closer. 

"Have you ever wondered why some are born with vast mana reserves, while others starve with none? Why some wield destructive powers like Void Pulse… while others are cursed with tricks like Hell Blast?"

"N… no…"

"You see… even though our universe seems chaotic, even cruel, it has always loved rules. Order. Patterns beneath the noise. That is what makes it terrifying… and beautiful."

Then after a long pause.

"And what if...you were finally able to glimpse those rules?"



Ps : The first Arc may feel a bit slow-paced, because i spent to much time on world-building and plot deployment.

 first 4-5 chapters feels cliche, like other novels out there.


Those 5 were written by me a year ago, and for some morality reasons coudn't bring myself to change them.


To be honest, I got nothing to talk about right now.


However, I felt the need to tell you this.


Anyways, getting to the point, you must be thinking this is one of those shitty system-ahh novels you just saw dozens of...


When you got other famous ones to read.


I ain't gonna tell you something like "great quality" and shit, 'cuz who writes a novel with lacking writing skills?


However, my point is, the world which will be shown to you in the earlier chapters won't even be...


So I have spent most of my free time—call me unemployed—fantasizing about different worlds mixed together, like the Victorian era with cyberpunk.


And for the power system, there ain't no mana thing as the real deal.


You will see mana in earlier chapters, however that is acceptable since mana also works on that power system principle.


But as the world's power scaling rises to new heights, I might eventual—must have to explain the notoriously complex power system so that there won't be any plot holes.


After all, you cannot go around making whatever skill you want just because of mana.


Also, first 5 chapters were written by me an year ago,  and i have significantly improved since then. However i coudn't bring myself to remove those chapters as a reminder.


I regret my first five chapters, so read this first.
