For some reason I can't pin the review, so I will put the information i wrote there here in this page.
I want to actually take advantage of it to explain some things, hoping they won't discourage you from at least giving this book a try. I also want to say this: I'm very attentive to what you, readers, say, so I might actually change things based on the inputs you give me, if it is possible, of course.
On Writing Quality:
Each chapter is professionally edited before publication. However, English is not my first language. While the editing catches typos and grammar errors, there might occasionally be a phrase that sounds unusual because it is translated directly from my native tongue. I appreciate your understanding.
On Pacing & Planning:
I know that pacing has been a noted weakness in my previous stories. For this book, I've taken an entirely different approach: the entire story was planned out from the beginning to ensure a strong and consistent pace.
To make these modifications possible, I have already written over 100 chapters. Being so far ahead of the published chapters allows me to make significant improvements. For example, I recently rewrote the last 40 chapters of this narrative arc because I wasn't satisfied with them. This capability to revise and refine the story before you ever see it is why I believe this book is a massive improvement over my past work.
On Stability of Updates:
My goal is to publish 2000 words daily, which equals about two chapters. Even if I run into issues, I will ensure a minimum release of 1500 words (a chapter and a half) each day. To keep the story accessible and not overly long, I currently plan to write around 850 chapters in total, which would be roughly eight and a half volumes.
On Story Development:
I've designed this novel to be a light, yet engaging read. Something I thought you would read on your daily commute, travel, or downtime. While the plot isn't overly simplistic, it's also not as densely complex as series like A Song of Ice and Fire or Lord of the Mysteries. My aim is to offer a satisfying story without requiring intense analysis. That said, you may still find layers and depth I didn't think were that deep!
On Character Design:
The main character is deeply developed and will follow a classic hero's journey. Although many side characters may not stay for the entire story, each one is designed with care. Even minor characters play relevant roles and contribute to the overall narrative. No one is just filler.
On World Background:
This is where I've invested the most effort. The game-like System has its own lore and reason for existing. Every town, faction, and skill is designed with detail and internal logic. I've aimed to make the world feel plausible, immersive, and alive—with status screens, skill descriptions, and lore all thought through. Whether I've succeeded is for you to decide!
