Chapter 65 (Part 17)
The storm of creation and ruin had not ended
it had only shifted.
The moment Alok's hand tore free the Crystal Heart, the labyrinth convulsed.
Violet fire surged through the shattered veins of the Core, swallowing what little light remained.
Extera did not fall.
He laughed.
"You think that's enough, mortal? My Core isn't just life
it's rebirth!"
His body shattered into fragments of molten glass and reformed before Alok's eyes, limbs stitching together in waves of black flame.
Each crack healed faster than before, every wound birthing new wings of smoke and light.
But Alok didn't flinch. His eyes burned like twin suns.
"Then I'll keep breaking you… until you can't stand again."
The Speed Beyond Mortal Eyes
Lightning carved the air into ribbons.
Alok vanished and reappeared behind Extera, his fist smashing into the Devourer's side.
Before the impact could echo, Extera had already countered, claws of molten steel cutting through Alok's shoulder.
Each exchange lasted less than a breath.
To Rihan barely conscious on the cracked floor it was impossible to follow.
All he saw were blurs of gold and violet, tearing the chamber apart in bursts of raw divinity.
Rihan (weakly): "This… this isn't something human eyes can see…"
Blood spilled from his lips as his vision dimmed, but he couldn't look away.
The clash of gods was painting the end of the labyrinth in every stroke of lightning.
The Two-Second Secret
In the midst of that chaos, Alok noticed something
a detail buried in the madness.
When his blade of lightning severed one of Extera's fingers, the molten flesh paused.
Only for a second no, two.
Two seconds before the regeneration started.
Two seconds where Extera's divine energy pulsed weakly, searching for cohesion.
Alok's breath sharpened.
> (Thinking) "He's not immortal… he lags when he heals. If I can strike faster than that
faster than his rebirth
I can end him."
The pendant flickered against his chest, glowing faintly in agreement, almost as if it had heard his thoughts.
Pendant Voice: "Then move faster than time itself."
The Beyond-Speed Clash
Alok's aura erupted
chains of gold spiraled into storm halos around him, their runes shifting shape like living symbols.
The ground melted beneath his feet as he vanished into a flash brighter than the Core's own light.
Extera's grin faltered for the first time.
"Impossible....."
Alok reappeared in front of him, slashing downward with a golden edge of pure kinetic force.
One arm fell. Then the other.
Extera screamed, violet energy spilling like molten blood.
He tried to regenerate but the two seconds had already begun ticking down.
1.
2.
Before the third heartbeat, Alok was there again
his chains wrapping around Extera's throat, pulling him forward.
"You can heal… but you can't outrun me."
He drove a kick through the Devourer's chest, lightning flaring in all directions.
The regeneration halted completely
and for the first time, fear flickered in Extera's eyes.
Unietime Realm – Watchers' Reaction
The orb in Doxteon's Hall convulsed violently.
Watcher II: "He's broken divine tempo! His speed has breached causal law!"
Watcher III: "He's fighting between seconds using resonance from the pendant!"
Watcher I: "This is beyond observation. If he continues, the Core Timeline itself could fracture."
Watcher IV (grinning faintly): "Then maybe time deserves to watch what it's never seen before."
The hall trembled as the orb fractured again, streams of golden and violet light bleeding through the cracks.
Rihan's Last Sight Before Fainting
Rihan's fading eyes caught one final image
Alok's form splitting the air itself, each movement echoing through space like thunder.
"He's… transcending…"
And then, his vision faded to black.
Rihan collapsed completely, surrounded by a faint shimmer of Alok's protective chains, which formed instinctively to guard him.
The War of Cores
Extera's body reformed once more, now pulsing violently his heart cavity hollow, missing the core that Alok had glimpsed.
Extera: "You dare hunt my essence… I'll devour your soul instead!"
He opened his mouth, consuming the very air, pulling fragments of the Core Realm's energy into his chest.
Violet tendrils shot from the ground, dragging Alok toward him.
But Alok's pendant flared again, forming a radiant sigil that shattered the tendrils instantly.
The voice whispered:
"End him before he completes regeneration."
Alok's eyes narrowed.
"No more waiting."
He vanished leaving only a golden afterimage
and appeared directly above Extera, lightning condensed around his hand, forming a spear of pure existence.
Alok: "This is where your rebirth ends!"
He hurled the spear.
It pierced through Extera's chest, right into the fractured void where his heart should be.
Violet fire erupted, colliding with golden light in a cataclysm that devoured the labyrinth's horizon.
The explosion was so vast, even the Watchers shielded their eyes.
